GENERAL FREEBIE REQUESTS Part 2
Cigarette Case.
I am working up a scene between women, one is a rather sophisticated character; a lot of her body language is built around her smoking; and a Old School (preferably Silver) Cigarette case would be perfect for her. If anyone knows where I can down load one for free or for a reasonable price for the prop please let me know BB.
I would try using this. http://www.sharecg.com/v/22335/browse/5/3D-Model/Presentation-Case with some metalic shaders such as Allen Art's rings shaders - http://www.sharecg.com/v/85286/gallery/11/Poser/Rings-for-Victoria-4 I would also use some of her jewelry props to decorate the top of the box.
Keep Calm : There's always another Sale (Daily Sale Talk)DAZ had a very aggressive ad campaign on Facebook, that then started linking everywhere else I went, that got me to finally download DAZ.
Once I did, I saw the prices, and I didn't buy a thing. Until March Madness. Once I saw how the stacking discounts work - since then... LOTS.
And if there were a LOT of people like me... they may have realized there is WAY more money to be made if you price this content at prices that a giant hobbyist consumer base will buy. Victoria 4 Pro Pack is NEVER going to be worth more to me than the $4 I paid for it. Same for M4. You can get me to spend about $15 for a Genesis 3 character Pro Pack... maybe a starter pack if it is a character I really want that I see NEVER goes on sale because it is super popular.
But $140 or more? NEVER gonna happen. $40... never gonna happen.
And it is the same for the rest of the content. I'm never going to pay $20 for hair, or an outfit, or a prop or scenery. The rare exception are utilities that are VERY versatile, plugins, Terradome 3 - Hair Studio, UV sets that allow me to use skins between generations. I'll pay a little more for those - but even then, I prefer to get them at the $5-$10 range. That is why Headshop isn't in my library, and it won't be for a long time at the discounts it has been seeing. But, I could be wrong...
Keep Calm : There's always another Sale (Daily Sale Talk)Sales promotions this year, seem desperate.
That is a feeling I'm getting. I can't explain why exactly, and feelings are notorious for being wrong. But still, its there.
Ehhhh, I think you might be onto something. It does seem kind of surprising they've been offering even things like Pro Bundles at deep discounts recently, especially since in the past those sales would be few and far in between March Madness + Platinum Club (aka Horror-Themed Item Showcase). Part of me wants to say it's because we have Genesis 4/Daz Studio 5 coming out soon, but maybe not.
OTOH, maybe Daz is doing decently enough that they can afford to do these kinds of sales.
I'm willing to bet that THAT is actually the case.
What has the history of Daz Studio's figure releases told us?
Victoria 5 was released in October 2011, two years later Victoria 6 was released in June of 2013, two years later Victoria 7 was released in June of 2015. Guess what? This year is two years after the release of Victoria 7 - so if the release history holds up on the same time line we'll be getting Victoria 8 this year - likely June of this year.

Ich bin also eigentlich Anfänger.
Wär euch also für jeden Tipp dankbar.
Achja, hier meine Naomi (Genesis2) vom letzten Wochenende :)
Also...

Wenn Du lediglich Victoria 4 in ihrer Grundform verwenden willst, dann bist Du mit "Wear Them All" bestens bedient.

List of Gen 3 CharactersGreat work. Thanks for sharing.
After seing this LONG, LONG list I'm wondering if the gen 3 is about to finish it's cycle too. Great generation IMHO but let's face it: not much figures left that we know. Maybe we'll see a Ninive 7 or a Scott 7. Anyway not much left now. The question is, is generation 4 closer than we think? Are we going to see Victoria 8 in a few months and maybe a Daz Studio 5 realease? If so, then what real improvements will the new generation have to have to justify starting the whole cycle again and the whole expense that that would be?They better walk and talk and do my laundry. Otherwise...

First time s set up a 2012 folder then I installed in poser 2014. I have a daz library file in my documents. When I try to load a Genesis figure in poser it's writes a file in the folders set up in my documents. I followed the directions in a previous post to go in daz and copy base files and the click on poser and it set up a new file in my documents. And it is writing files to that folder. Just when I load a figure I can't see it.Did you add your DAZ library folder to Poser's library? Do the figures load properly in DAZ Studio?
I looked in my runtime folder in Poser and I don't see a Daz Folder. I see one in the Libraries Folder. It Victoria 4 in it. They do load correctly in Daz Studio. I just can't get the right render I like in Daz that I get in Poser and it took 10 hours for Daz to do a render. whew.

@AprilYSH @propschick @elliandra @pandygirl @fredwinklerart @sabbyDon't be fooled by Kara Hair, it has some nice morphs to flatten the sides and top so it's not quite so poofy. Question about HD add on for Victoria 7Hey everyone, newb here. I have the Victoria 7 model for Genesis 3. She's great, but I saw the HD add on for sale, and I want to get it for added realism. My question is, do I already have it? Did it come with my Victoria 7? Or will I be adding an additional layer of realism by getting it?
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers!
Any way to search only for Victoria 4 characters? As far as I can tell, there is no way to search for only Victoria 4 characters - there are dedicated categories only for Genesis 1, 2 and 3. Any searches for earlier generations also bring up clothing, hair and other products I'm not looking for. Is there any way to only search for V4 (or Gen 4 in general) characters?

I'm sure the new improvements HAVE to be awesome. I just hope they release the multi-resolution morph plugin to begin with. It's kind of lame having such great figures and not being able to create our own HD morphs and just have the ability to create low resolution morphs. Hair and clothes systems also need a big improvement. A proper body and face rigging with real IK is also a most that has been long overdue. Looking forward for what the future will bring.
Generation 4 is coming out this year sometime
Interval between 2 versions of Genesis has been 2 years so far, and G3 is now almost 2 years old.

List of Gen 3 CharactersHi All,
I was wondering just how many Gen3 characters there were so decided to compile a list. Here it is, no doubt with errors and omissions, but overwhelming anyway!
Let me know what's wrong with it, if you found it useful, etc. I was going to do one with little portraits, but the size of the list has put me off.
