This thread should just be renamed into one of the off topic silly threads at this point!
But in all seriousness, I use the same product for every underwear I need. Optitex has a freebie dynamic bikini (at least I think it's free) which I use the top of, and the underwear from the V6 dynamic essentials or w/e. Definitely need the actual dynamic plugin for the underwear because it clings weird. Increase the shrink of the band and increase the friction of the actual planes and you have functional underwear. Although, bottoms are a lot less important for dynamics, conforming is usually just as good.
The good thing about these two products is that the Diffuse Map texture is super simple, so I'm easily able to make a new one when I need to. Only downside to the dynamic bottom is that it's a bit... flossy... in the back which really isn't the angle I'm going for in fantasy settings.
The best part of dynamics is that they're figure agnostic!
Neither subs lapsed in March when I was in Spain and I never got around to renewing when I got back, didn't really see anything that appealed to me. I would have been just been buying for the sake of it.
Actually, when I get a piece of skimpware armor, I usually fill in the nekkid bits with a scale/chain mail texture/disp map anyway, because when it comes down to it, even the impractical armor is presented with so much professional (Industry standard) level of craftsmanship, that it really intimidates me into becoming a vender myself, particularly considering the artist/s Formally known as awful soul...Heh, whenever I hear some modeler yammer on about how modelers are better artists then us lowley conso* errr, Poser/Daz wannabies, I usually smugly present our own PA's craftswo/men and entrepreneurs as they are the opitome of a practicing professional.
Nirvy has a great new pair of fantasy boots over at rendo, which aren't high heeled. :D
No problem with sexy, but a lot of the designs I see are simply not very pragmatic. It's like a lot of stuff you see on runways; very fanciful, but nothing you'd imagine a real person every putting on and wearing anywhere. If designers want to model sexy clothing I wish they'd look more toward what people are actually wearing -- other than streetwalkers.
I know what you mean. I have never understood that. Why spend so much time working on and modeling clothes that only people in the 17 century would wear in this day and age? Is that like an inside industry contest by fashion designers to see who can impractically out-design the other?
I'm kinda missing some of these items atm; way too much male stuff. :p
Indeed. Spiky heels on the archer so she wont catch her feet on branches, roots, twigs, rocks, and other various bits of undergrowth and overgrowth :)
No need flogging this dead horse anymore. The modelers have heard it all and beat it down every time and aren't going to change, the only productive thing to do is seriously boycott what and who you don't want in your library. It won't stop them but it's like voting for the politician who lost, you did your part, but life goes on.
That's what kitbashing is for- change out the boots to something else, layer skimpy things under other clothing, etc. Kitbashing is actually quite fun.
I'll have to disagree. A number of new sets have been released that have flat boots. As said before, you can kitbash for more fun.
Hello, Valandar.
I was shocked when I searched your name to see how much of your creations that I've purchased! Jeeeez...
Shaving kit, hair care, pocket stuff, and much more, mostly everyday accessories. And the crossbows, had to have the crossbows.
I am really glad that you've made so many little everyday things. Thank you. (Your Police Car and Bulldozer are in my cart now...)
I've missed this thread - it's nice to rant. :)
Don't read the thread, obviously, if you think it's irrelevant. Those that wish to take part, obviously will.
I've bought the flat shoed products that have been released, bar one as I couldn't afford em all; I haven't bought any with heals, even though there were a couple that may have been useful for some of their parts.
Decided to vote with my wallet.
