I don't believe they can - the spell-checker is an external service.

So they have NO control over the content of the dictionary they are using?  That is another step in a wholly strange direction that is not forward!

    ... .. ;))

There was a time when every automobile had a "choke" button.

Only petrol engined cars.  Diesel cars didn't have carburetors, so didn't have a choke knob.     yes I know I am being pedantic

but Diesel is like jelly in winter - so you had to have a preheater or put a fire under the tank ! not good surprise

I drove diesel vehicles from 1988 onward. Himself was so impressed with the fact that my vehicle started reliably every morning, regardless of the temperature, so when he had the chance to buy a new car he also bought a diesel one.in 1993. That one was used regularly until around 7 or 8 years ago, when we had a chance to buy the one we drive now at a very very good price, and sold the Peugeot on as a working vehicle. and yes diesels have a preheater, but that takes seconds only before you can start the car at first turn of the key.

I want a grand piano that has individual moveable keys.  And a chupacabara...(er... candleabra)

I'm currently making a Chupacabara like thing from the Gargolye hound....

Now, I know it's been talked to death already, but as far as a scale of skimpwear, I'm often afraid to browse the store at work (in the cafe, at Lunch) because I'm afraid someone will see...

I hear that!  I have to make sure I check that no one is behind me if I open the store to log in... otherwise I could end up with a trip to HR for simple misunderstandings!  Forget browsing or checking out sales.  The store is definitely a NSFW place!  surprise

...well that makes it pretty useless if dictionaries cannot be edited to remove such errors that are accidentally saved.  I've also noticed it often showing some pretty "outlandish" and "illogical" suggestions for even common spelling errors (compared to what FF suggests for the same misspelled word), which require one to manually retype the entire word.again (a total pain in the bum if you are dyslexic)

All the more reason to enable  browser based spell checkers again.

It's very good to see the new Casual Wear A, though a few more textures for it would be nice.

I would be sent to HR for going anywhere outside of our companies national network since they monitor all net activity and feel we should be working instead of browsing 3D stores, LOL. I thought that is what iphones are for.. I would think fully clothed or not, most would get strange looks from co-workers for looking at human 3d models for sale and then trying to explain their uses.

In getting back on topic, when I saw http://www.daz3d.com/provoker-outfit-for-genesis-3-female-s and http://www.daz3d.com/sandals-for-genesis-3-female-s it was a no brainer for me, in the cart they went

As for Spellcheckers... my mother once "broke" the Open Office spellchecker trying to spell 'spigot'. :D

Amusingly, after the length of this conversation, I find myself contemplating getting a bra model, because while I've managed to get various swimsuits, boxer shorts, panties, sports bra from various things, there's no regular bra from anything I have.

Mind you, I need ONE. Maybe two (nice one, functional one).

Esha's basic underwear set is really nice, it auto follows really well on G2, I'm assuming it'll probably convert to G3 pretty good as well.  It's not one of those meshes that breaks apart or crumples in werid places from the smoothing collision, it's very simple but that's why it works so well.  It's also one of the more realistic sets available I think in its shape and texture details.

Well, although I have a lot of swimsuits, I have to congratulate you Fisty on your contribution with the Strappy- the bottoms in back have more cloth than most of the other ones, and the top gives more coverage. And it's artistically different! Looks really nice.

well, gen 3 and the clothing for the new generation has had one positive effect. I'm buying a lot less. :-) i am curious what male figure they are presumably releasing soon

Yep, the basics set works nice on G3.  I think I set the displacement a bit too strong, but you get the idea.  Conversion to iray is pretty easy, apply the iray uber shader with control-click to keeps the textures, I used 0.2 on the displacement strength, 0.1 would probably be better.  I set the Sub-D displacement level to 4 and that seems to be pretty smooth.  I cranked bump strength up to 10, left all the other settings alone.

I attached a render, really I did..   lets try this again..

I don't think the kick-starter model would work. I still places the all the onus on the PA. I think a more successful approach would be to reach out to a PA with an idea. Ideally, someone who has made similar items in the past with your product suggestion. If they are receptive, have pictures and/or drawings ready. If it's something you really want, ask how much it would cost to comission the item for your sole use, possibly negotiate a lower rate if they think it's something they could sell.

..does anyone know what happened to Ness?  the last items released was Floor Scales which was over five years ago. I was hoping he'd come out with a, accurate 9' concert grand piano.  While there si a fairly nice freebie piano available knowing Ness' eye for detail it would be exquisits (and like the Harpsichord, probably have a rigged keyboard). Even the ones on Turbosquid for 100$ or more are not rigged.

Would also love to see a totally authentic pipe organ like one would see in a cathedral;. There is a fellow on DA who does wonderful 3D models of pipe organs for a company that builds them but alas he mentioned he doesn't have the time to perform commission work (I already inquired)..

You talking about Ness Reproductions?  He just came up in convo on Fb.  Ana, (Arien) is a good friend and mentioned him.  I asked how he was doing.  He had to stop because of some health stuff that came up but is interested in starting back at some point.  So he MAY start making stuff again.  When?  I have no idea.  I asked her to tell him hi for me!  laugh

You don't need to buy her:

Though, Gen3F is free, she comes with the Gen3F Starter Essentials. It's just the additional characters that cost. ;-)

Thanks I have no spare cash for Gen 3 in general. It was bad enough with Gen 2 but now Gen 3 and four characters and all the trappings in 2 months or whatever? I don't have that much free cash. I'll wait for the sale that we all know is coming.

On the plus side, no actual lingerie for Karen, and only one really "sexy" outfit. The short dress might count for some people, but I could see that on the street and not think much of it. The bodysuit that's missing a leg, that's different.

The Eclipse suit also comes with a reasonable set of boots, shock of all shocks.

Are you PC or PC+? You can use your $6 off for Daz Originals on that, because that coupon can be applied to new releases. It's already 50% off, so with that added $6 off, it's a great deal!
