Send some of that cold weather to Georgia! We havn't really had a winter here, been in the 70's and 80's - in February! Been a really weird year, weather wise.

Yeah, no kidding.  Today it's 37F out and I love it.  Cooler this week than it has been most of the winter!  Considering what a warm winter we've had, I'm really dreading summer.

...while it has been more "seasonable" here in Portland OR as of late (upper 50s to low 60s) than in the last few weeks (upper 30s to low 40s), still wouldn't mind some of those 70s.  Last year at this time tulips were blooming and leaves were starting to come out on the trees.Just saw the first daffodils blooming a few days ago. Those were in full bloom in mid February last year.

Two and a half weeks ago it was 71° in my old hometown of Milwaukee Wi where the normal high for that day is about half that.

It was in the sixties about three days ago... Happy little spring robins chirping... Today huddled up trying to stay warm on the lawn... Tomorrow frozen little bumps under the snow.

Probably not frozen, but that was a really sad picture I imagined... Especially the part where I'm unjamming them from the snowblower.

Surely you exaggerate?  Any snow blower worth it's salt would mince the little minions.   If not, then just sharpen those blades and add a bit of nitro into the carburetor. enlightened

Weather is nasty out.  Is it bad to hope the weather does not improve so I have an excuse to call out?

Edit that is of work on Saturday.

Wow, did you see the California fires? I feel so bad for all the people in the path. They're saying its due to global warming. Weird. The same time there's record cold and snow in South Texas.

Yeah, actually South Texas is the middle of the US, and the cold/snow wave extended from south Texas up to New York. Pretty amazing.

...here in what should be normally soggy rainy Oregon this time of year, it has been uncharacteristically dry all week and will continue to be so until next weekend

They always say that initially and it typically ends up as arson eg: Jesus Fabian Gonzales, 29, "arrested" for 10/17 and Aug. 16, 2016: or Damin Pashilk,or John Leonard Orr an American former fire captain and arson investigator for the Glendale Fire Department in Southern California and novelist who was indicted and later convicted for serial arson and 4 counts of murder. It's never only parched land and winds.

I am so happy to be in Southern California despite the fires. I was born in a place so cold .... burrrrrr and back in my home town, this is what happened after a freezing snow storm  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dB5cgwTY5ME

At 25c with a light breeze, it's somewhat pleasant.  It rained last Saturday and more showers are predicted for next Friday.  More frequent rain would be nice, though, to end the current water restrictions and lower the bushfire rating.

Yeah, you're lucky. I'm sure there are a lot of people around the world living in frigid conditions who in the back of their minds kinda wish they'd get some of that global warming stuff. Here it's supposed to get up to 32F if we're lucky. Personally, I think if it was 72F today it would be a lot nicer. I'd go ride my bike instead of sitting inside all day smiley

    Savannah GA.

Just looked outside. 2" of snow on the ground, and something that is just so wrong:
    Snow on my motorcycle.

Okay, it's pretty, I've seen it, it can go away now.

    Fluffy white crap is pretty.
Now go north. There are roads here that I haven't ridden yet.
And an unvisited Chinese restaurant in a small town somewhere
over the horizon is calling my name.
