I was having withdrawals from no car rendering so I had to stop real life stuff and kick back and bake one out. I rendered this Camaro before but I repainted it for this one.

Looks sweet RNR. I been busy with taxes and my business picked way up...so RL in the way here too.

...so here's where this thread is hanging out. Haven't made it all the way through but what I've seen so far is some amazing stuff.

Now that I have the supercharged workstation up and running. (and a lot of time on my hands as I lost my job a couple weeks ago) I can start messing about in the "garage" again.

Sorry to hear about your job KK, hang in there and "come on in" if needed. We love the company.

When I was touring, I played in Austin. My son's name is Austin, so I had to pound the pavement in the daytime to try to find him tons of souvineers with "Austin" on it...lol. Gotta bunch!

RF...sorry to hear about the fire. My first wife and I experienced a house fire in 1972. We lost everything...all my childhood awards and my grandfathers WWII leather flying ace coat with a real fleece liner he left me. Also my 1972 Chevy Nova SS, 350 four speed. It devistated me. Fires suck!

    >:(

...thanks. Have my UC claim set up I'll have enough coming in to keep a roof over my head and the workstation powered up. Just loaded a whole bunch of vehicles on (purchased and freebie), so looking forward to posting pics here again.

lol....Kinda like the Uniroyal "Tiger Paw" tires you used to could get....with the red walls instead of white ones. (Circia 1967...or close.)

Also there was a type of gas advertised back then, that had two big horseshoes side by side....for that extra "kick" it would give you.

and....let's not forget the ESSO (pre-EXON) commercials on TV that had the little Hawaiian lady in a grass hula skirt, dancing on top of the gas pump. I was very young when that one came out because that was when I met Elvis Presley at the TV station with my Mom, one day during the tapeing of one of the commercials. My Mom worked at the station, and Elvis was there waiting for the little Hawaiian lady he was dateing at that time to finish. He walked up to my Mom, shook her hand. then he leaned over, stuck out his hand to me and said " Hi...I'm Elvis Presley." and shook my little hand. I was unaware who he was then, but my Mom almost fainted and was left speachless. She looked like she had seen a ghost! She then told me in my ear..."Don't ever forget that gentleman's name, he is going to be very famous!" Boy, was she ever right on with that one!

Been working on this GTA Holden Efijy for awhile. Never could get the paint right so I contacted Bagginsbill on 'Rosity and he came up with a new shader for it. It's Kandy Wild Cherry but it's not going to be included in his new paint colors shader he's working on. The original Efijy was painted Wild Cherry over a grey base coat.

Cherokee, that is one radical looking car. I love the paint so I thought I would try to make something similar....but mine kinda looks more like a plum.....oh well, I guess I kinda like it anyway and it was fun trying.

Thanks RNRDV8, I was beginning to wonder if anyone was visiting this thread anymore and moved on to posting in other threads. Your paint looks awesome, I like it alot. Good job.

I've been doing a lot more car renders lately as well, but been posting them somewhere else myself, I guess we tend to forget about a thread that has been a major part of my virtual car modeling, and maybe we shouldn't!

Been sick here lately. Had to go to the hospital for a few days, so I am recovering from a serious flu virus. Thought I was going to die!!! Now, I just am so happy to see another day and will not take life for granted ever again. I fell lucky I survived it at 60 years old.

Thanks guys for keeping the thread alive. We could possibly go on to Mark III if we keep it going.

    Music,

It here.. http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=cat&id=300&start=7&orderBy;= ...last one on the page.

I don't like the way DAZ is running this site. You get a notification when on of the threads you are subscribed to has a reply but nothing after that. The last notification I got was on 4/30 until I got one today from another thread I'm subscribed to but none for this thread and I see people has made posts to it. In the old forum, every post that was made in a subscribed thread got a notification....not now.
