Spent money for DAZ items the first time since the end of January yesterday and today, as finally something appeared as Daily Deal that was ready to pay for - a cemetary, non exclusive for G9 - while my favourite's artist was eligible for the wishlist and 70% off featured artist sale. I hope all the big spenders here make up for my stinginess and buy many items made by Chris Cox at full price, as the products would be worth it.

Does anyone buy at full price?  The store is designed to focus on "sales" and prolific artists like Cox are almost constantly on sale.  That said, yeah, Chris Cox is one of those PAs who don't get enough appreciation, but as they're one of the handful of vendors who still consistantly supports G8 at DAZ, I've bought out most of their DAZ catalog (all but 9 out of 140) as well of most of their products at Rendo.

Chris Coxr's costumes are almost all removable and can be transformed in various ways, making him a highly commendable artist. Unfortunately, most of his costume designs don't suit my taste; I prefer styles like Sue-Yee or Lilflame.

The cover design is also an issue. For example, this one (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sunrise-robe-for-genesis-9-and-8-female) has such a plain cover that, frankly, it's easy for me to overlook it. But the actual garment features a variety of vibrant patterns, even offering clean and stained versions, and comes in various lengths. This is definitely a product I'd regret not buying.

As you said, these are overlooked gems of artists. Heaven knows how many other excellent artists and products are being overlooked here. This makes me feel obligated to check out the contents every time a new product launches, even if I'm not interested in the cover.

I noticed this product seems to have seen a significant price drop? Has anyone used it? There isn't much discussion about it on the forums. I really need these things since I only have 12GB of VRAM. I have another product, but its effectiveness is limited…

...definitely not seeing the same discounts as I was getting in the past few days.  There is a minimum price on the Wishlist items.(3,.99 USD) as well as a more limited selection.

So much or double tokens today.

The last DD items for Tuesday are a no purchase as one is a G9 character and the other is strand based hair which uses Omni Shaders (I'm still on 4.21 due to OS limits).

Just bought that, thanks for the link. At $4.20 using my tokens, it would be silly not to.

I have a couple of heavy scenes to do tomorrow when I'm off work so I'll report back.

For me (!) options > style. Textures and materials can be easily changed.

"Cover design" rarely influences my shopping. Like in real life, it doesn't matter much to me how a piece of clothing looks under perfect conditions on a super-slim model. I'd prefer to see more the details than pretty pictures of how it could look.

OTOH I got a bunch of artists in my personal "no need to look at their products" because they rarely made something that made me want to buy it. And others make me want to check their new products immediately, even when the "Cover" pictures usually wouldn't interest me.

But that's only me, the special snowflake here amoung the customers. wink I guess everybody here has their personal preferences

Is the selecton of items for the DOUBLE-DOOZY coupon being changed? If so, how often?

I saw it late yesterday, chose 5 items but the coupon didn't work. Today the coupon is still there but the selection of items is completly different, none of the items I selected yesterday are still in it.

From what I understood, the category link was wrong initially (which likely explains why the coupon didn't work) and has been corrected since then.

Still doesn't work for me. And no response for support. Guess I'm saving $1.99.

That makes sense. I thought it was an amazing deal at that price.

The recent final 24 hours were for the week-end sale, and using Final 24 hours on a sunday is relatively common during a week-end sale.

Today is the last day of June, do it's not that surprising that it would be the end of the month-long June sale.

Maybe a surpise extension or maybe not -- probably about 50-50 chances.

  • Can someone share a link to the products that the Double Doozy code can be used on? I have all but like 2 or 3 of the Daily Dealz from the entire month and the link or code isnt showing up for me.

I looked around today, hankering to spend some money.

Only found one item and bought it.

I'm already done for the month of July.  And it's still only June.

...sort of went "big" (well for me) on the final day to take advantage of the DD discounts I still have and clear a few items off the wishlist as "payday" came early (Friday is considered a federal holiday as the 4th is in Caturday)..

So I wonder what tomorrow will bring/.  .

How many boot textures does anyone need? Nothing I want and I always buy something. Nice sale. Can't do anything with it.

My credit card needs a break after the June DD madness. I've cleared most of my wishlist though.

In the past years, there seem to have been about a week of such a sale, usually closer to the end of July, but it's not one of the yearly reoccuring month-long things as far as I know.

  • I liked the boots - although won't indulge in the expansions - and that JaMaRe tunic but wishlisted. I think I am going to buy some of their older things. Their page has a lot of rarities for Daz. Lots of G8/8.1/9 in one set. There's historical medieval (especially for males/male presenting) clothing. Some is everyday modern, and shocker - the lingerie is actually lingerie that is NOT super extreme/super skimpy skimpwear; it looks like stuff a real person might wear for a romantic night.

If you like the boots, you might want to take a look at: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-cb-narel-clothing-set-for-genesis-9

Props to @CynderBlue for the note on the texture-bundle (great to see): https://www.daz3d.com/cb-narel-boots-for-genesis-9-8-and-81-with-leather-suede-and-alligator-texture-expansion-bundle

(I own the clothing set and they work great together; I've a slowly-growing collection of the artist's other gear smiley)

How much is someone willing to pay for a cg boot, period?  The price of items has been creeping up rather quickly lately and different vendors seem to be testing different ideas to spread those rising costs up.  Personally, I'm loathe to buy seperate shoe items period unless they're on super-sale, as they're almost always the most difficult article of clothing to cross-fit well onto a different generation of figure.

How did I miss that outfit? The bodysuit? Monokini? isn't my thing but I love that sheer overrobe! Also grumbling at myself because the Outlet changeover slipped my mind & I was going to get https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-cb-apollonia-clothing-set-for-genesis-8-and-81-females. Do you have it? I wonder how well it works as conforming
