It's probably already been mentioned, but somehow i missed it, you only need to buy a Daily Dealz item once every 5-6 days and you can take 50% off an item in your wishlist every single day. I wish I had paid attention to this sooner. Was it this way from the beginning of the sale and I just missed it the whole time, or did they change this mid-sale?

I think it has always been that way. You only need to buy or own one of the Daily Dealz that is still shown on the sale page. Once they disappear for the sale page, they not longer count as "Daily Dealz".

I guess I should clarify what I mean, I see 6 items up there currently, 1 new and 5 old. I assume its been 1 new Daz Dealz per day, and I thought in the beginning a Daz Dealz only lasted for 2 or 3 days, but it looks like now it might be 5 or 6 days that they stay as Daz Dealz before they fall off the page. I haven't really been paying attention the whole time though but it seems like the duration has been extended.

...however having more than one increases the additional discount for the Featured Artists selection:: 20% for 1, 30% for 2, and 40% for 3.

    That does make a difference..

Only when the 10% difference result in at least $ 1.99 each. Which, when one buys only single items, which might often not to be the case for people who don't shop a lot, but only buy a few selected items every month.

And be mindful of the price floor on that WL coupon. Depending on the item from your WL, it might not give you the full 50%. Tokens break the floor, but you have to buy enough to have them first.

  • I've stopped bothering with the daily Extra 50% off 1 WL item because of all the problems lately. (pages freezing/slow, orders not processing) when I was using that deal regularly. In fact I bought that Daily Dealz hair blate last week because it was the only possibly useful one that would trigger the WL code - but ended up not buying eligible WL items. In fact the only things I've bought since the new store, was a free game-ready/G9 pair and a few half off OS triggered by the freebies.

Reminder to grab any QGs you have your eye on today, as the selection changes over at about 6 hours before Daz midnight.

Another really nice selection of items!  I enjoy QG; I sort of nibble away at it during the week.

  • Just completed purchase of today's Daily Deal.

Don't own any other Daily Deal items.

Now trying to purchase a Debut New Release but not getting the additional 10% discount for owning a Daily Deal.

I'm just guessing here, so take it with a grain of salt. I think you either have to already own a Daily Deal item prior to today or have one in your cart at the time of purchase to utilize a coupon or % off on a product. I don't believe the one you just bought takes effect until tomorrow. I will ask, though, when they are on for the day.

I own more than 3 of the current Daoly Dealz and I am NOT getting the extra discounts either. I have reported this in the report thread.

I had already found this with my own cart, and reported it. No response yet but they should wake up fairly soon.

is the store programmed once a week and its all on auto-pilot or something?  I realize DAZ is in Utah USA, but running a store that changes up at midnight wherever and has so many errors might fare better by release during DAZ normal business hours. Or don;t they check it at all before a new day? Thus the comment on auto-pilot.

have to say I'm slowly clearing out my WL with the 50% off deal going on. The discount doesn;t apply to only 1 item either. Not quite a full 50% off, but they drop to a great price as well.

  • The Buy or Own Daily Dealz discount doesn't seem to be working today for me. I'm not getting the extra 30% on debut new releases nor the 40% off the featured artist stores. Is this happening to anyone else?

Yes. It has been reported in the report thrad but still not fixed.

I'm not thrilled with the DAZ+ offer. I can save a dollar if I get a Debut New Release!

Actually as a DAZ+ member you can save the entire cost of one non-new DAZ+ item if you get a debut new release in the same cart.

  • Ron KnightsRon Knights Posts: 2,680

Yeah but a non-DAZ+ member would only need to pay $1.00!

    So I only save $1.00!

...so I have to spend a minimum of nearly 10 USD(on something I have little interest in) to get only one 3.49 - 6.99 item for free.  The math somehow doesn't add up.

well, you're not really saving anything unless you really need or want the new debut item. That's why those $1.99 DAZ Dealz items are pretty good to save 50% on a WL item.

Or, more logically, they could require one of the people who program the store/set up the ads to be on-hand and monitoring the roll out to correct issues as they happen, rather than waiting for someone to show up in the morning eight hours later when at least a third of the sales day for the ad has elapsed.  Given that DAZ3D is a 24 hour/7 days a week/365 days a year store that sells around the world, and it's extremely rare for a new daily sale to not have issues, it really seems like the cost of having someone who works a grave shift would be a very minor expense when compared to the potential sales loss.

AFAICT: You're seeing some other stacked discount (maybe from Featured Artists, or New Releases), or a fortuitous and now rectified 'bug'. The WL 50% applies to 1 WL item (with the daily code) any other item is at the same discount as when you add it to the cart (tested on multiple combinations). And there's a $4.99 minimum-price.

(even so, the 50% off - when combined with 'other offers' - can be quite decent)

For what it's worth, looks like the offer works such that Premier gets 1 free and another for $1 if both are in cart. I'd assume the same for Daz Plus members.

If you are going to buy something new, you save on the cost of the discounted item. If you don't buy something new, the discounted item is still discounted. Win Win. You're complaint only exists if you somehow buy a new item you don't want. Why would anyone do that? The math isn't the only part of the offer. The desire to own or not own the new item is entirely up to the buyer.

This is the weird part. Shopping cart technology has existed on the web for almost 30 years. It should be a solved problem. Daz only has a handful of discount "patterns". The fact that these things happen so often is just weird.

... not just "don't want" but would have no use for.  Some of us here are on very slim budgets and thus need to make sure every purchase counts.

It isn't just "personal" choice, it's also an economic one.
