  • Round two and it still only 60% off regardless of new item, daily deal or all of the above in the cart.

thats the thing. If the sale doesn't work it doesn't matter changeover or not. We just lose the extra percent off, and they lose my money.

  • davesodaveso Posts: 8,140

the 60 to 80 off is fixed now

New sale tile for Venezuelan artists. 60% off 1 item, 70% off 2 items, 80% off 3-10. Coupon usable once.

I hope that this sale being active mean the artists from Venezuela are as safe as someone can be in a country hit by two earthquakes: photos coming from the hit areas are heartbreaking.

Nice idea but Daz doesn't say exactly what, if anything, they are doing to support Venezuelan artists. Are they going to waive or reduce comission on the sales so the artist gets a better piece of the pie? It would be nice to think that they will do something themselves to support the Venezuelans during the current situation.

Does the "New items every 6 hours" mean the whole selection will disappear and be replaced with different items, or just that more items will be added to the list? I know nobody but Daz knows, but I'd still appreciate hearing how other people are reading that sentence.

Normally it means a whole new group of items.

I'm wondering how many times we're allowed to claim the 5 at 80% off offer.  Once?  Once per round?  Unlimited?

    Hallelujah!

No limit.  At the start of the sale I was going through a couple of carts a day, though the sluggish rate at which new featured artists are being cycled in means that I've now mined out most of what I want.  Also, if you have a daily Deaz item in the cart you don't need another debut new release to trigger most of the discounts, but otherwise you do have to have something that's specifically a debut item from the last several days in the cart each time.

I read it as imploring customers to help the artists by purchasing their assets.

Agree. Specially since almost half the items in the list are Daz Originals.

no idea, but it helps make feel less guilty buying 3 things for 80% off

  • Well it took until Round 4 for some really cool Wishlist things to show up in the flash sale, but show up they did! Yay!

This has been a pretty good sale overall. I've picked up some stuff that normally doesn't show up at such deep discounts, so both me and my wallet are happy.

...so has anyone picked up Sickleyield's Accessory Layering Helper yet?   Sounds like it can help with layering issues, not just for accessories but also some clothing items like jackets, vests, belts, scarves, etc. as well.

Put it on the wishlist for tomorrow and have an active DazDealz discount going through the weekend.

I will admit that this is one of the better parts of this sale as you can get an  extra discount on a new item as long as it was put on the WL the day before..

The extra discount for owning a DD doesn't work for me, I own yesterday's DD, but the extra discount isn't applied to the items for which it is intended, like those in today's Featured Artists Stores! :(

This product is a deformable, invisible full-body bodysuit. The garment is worn over the bodysuit, and adjustments are made to adjust its shape, allowing it to expand or contract to achieve the desired effect. The legs alone are divided into 26 segments, each requiring individual adjustment. Multiple bodysuits can be worn to achieve a multi-layered effect.

I reproduced it on my end. I bought one the other day, and I just tried it, and it's not applying the discount. As I reported in the other thread, I have reported it, and we'll let you know whenever they get back to us.

I have to say, if the goal really was to help Venezuelan artists, the offer should have lasted a bit longer. I'm pretty sure conditions are not magically better in Venezuela this morning than they were last night.

I had the exact same thought. The sale was up for less than a day. If the point was to help Venezuelan PAs, it would've made a lot more sense to have a sale where you get a discount on other stuff when you buy something from one of the Venezuelan PAs (similar to how "Debut New Releases" are usually required in the recent sales).

Had this brilliant cart jenga worked out. I have 4 tokens and figured I would buy the Robin 9 add-on package with tokens and the 50% WL coupon. I had put it in my WL when it came out. I will wait until the new Premier bundle coupon is released on the 1st to get her free. I figured the entire 2 bundle package will run aroun 9-10$$ . not bad.
So I needed to spend $20 to get 4 tokens to make total 8, whcih gives most discount on DO @ 45%. Did the major flub up by putting a product in my WL to get the $20 and used that 50% off coupon just as matter of fact, and bingo, no 50% off for Robin 9 add-on.

Pn my math above, in reality, with buying $20 worth to get my tokens, I just reduced my savings by $20. Still less than $55 and it will be higher once the new discounting goes off.
BUT WAIT !  Might be a new coupon tomorrow.  Hopefully all will stay as is for product discounting but hard to say for sure with DAZ. If it changes, no big one. Will  then wait.

I made a few wrong decisions during this sales campaign, which always happens, but I was much smarter than before. On the bright side, PA could earn more compensation.

When will this promotion end? I was planning to place my last order today, but then I realized there were other things I absolutely had to buy...

It's not the final week-end, so my guess it will at least one more week. But only Daz knows.

    It's a "surprise."

On a separate note, friendly reminder that QG changeover is today (about 6 hours before Daz midnight; last couple weeks it's done its thing at 15 minutes past the hour), so do what you gotta do to get what you wanna get. :)

...I wonder that the prediction market's odds are that Daz will extend the weekend sale as the last day of the month is Tuesday and next weekend will likely be an independence day sale.

I don't think the odds makers would touch it

It'll be interesting because I imagine they'd want a sale that more or less runs on autopilot, if people are out of the office. But so far, the Daily Dealz sale has had issues nearly every day. XD

It seems the vast bulk and majority of Daz promos arrive with functional issues, as the issue reporting thread shows us. What would Daz do without the customers generously helping them debug their promos every single day? I've never heard of such a thing happening on any other site.

the most egregious thing is that it's not even like niche/weird errors or a small (easy to miss) number of items that it doesn't work on. it's usually the main central sale/offer not working at all. it would be like a car dealership selling a car but it doesn't start when you put the key in the ignition; "oops, we didn't spend the 2 seconds it would take to check that the car even works as a car"

I've pointed out many times that shopping carts on the web have been around for nearly 30 years. This is a solved problem they get wrong every day. There are only 5-10 sales templates that they cycle through. It is inconceivable that this happens everyday. And yet it does. I can't imagine how many man-years have been spent by customer support dealing with the shop that could have been used to do more useful work.

Spent money for DAZ items the first time since the end of January yesterday and today, as finally something appeared as Daily Deal that was ready to pay for - a cemetary, non exclusive for G9 - while my favourite's artist was eligible for the wishlist and 70% off featured artist sale. I hope all the big spenders here make up for my stinginess and buy many items made by Chris Cox at full price, as the products would be worth it.

I have a number of items still tagged as new that were released in Mayon mt wishlist.. It probably won't happen but I keep hoping that somehow they will be incluided in the sale and receive a discount.

Does anyone buy at full price?  The store is designed to focus on "sales" and prolific artists like Cox are almost constantly on sale.  That said, yeah, Chris Cox is one of those PAs who don't get enough appreciation, but as they're one of the handful of vendors who still consistantly supports G8 at DAZ, I've bought out most of their DAZ catalog (all but 9 out of 140) as well of most of their products at Rendo.
