Is a really good sale, what pisses me a bit is things i bought recently were i had to choose from a few items on what to use a coupon on, only to find that things i bought are here (and cheaper) and things i choose not (waiting for another sale) are not part of the selection angry

There still a lot of good deals, but most are not high enough in my priorities to spend all my credit (and with over $11 buy in).

Edit: almost forgot, the tokens i built on those bit more expensive purchases are almost useless on this sale. Yay!!!

Well, as always, it boils down to new releases. There's nothing today to that I would ever use (plus one PA on my no-buy list), so the incentive to buy, especially that I don't have an orange banner to soften the blow, is much lower. If there was anything remotely interesting in new releases today, or if they did "any $+12 new release," I'd be much more inclined to play, because $2.5 for 25 items is a crazy good deal... Until you have to fork out $12 for something that isn't even on the "might use it some day" spectrum.

Aside that, definitely good deal today. Maybe tomorrow brings something equally interesting with a better selection of buy-ins. :)

That is my take as well.

    I agree too

    ...same here.

I've gradually figured out the pattern. This time, I bought a lot of things I deliberately didn't want last time, and also cleared out over 30GB of old stuff. This made me think more carefully about what I truly need and what I can save for later. Usually, promotions become increasingly tempting in the short term, draining your wallet. Based on today's $2.50 discount, it's so tempting to empty your wallet that I suspect there will be even better promotions later, forcing me to spend money. Before, I would regret buying something at a high price, but now I think carefully before I shop. Even if it's cheaper in a few days, I won't regret it (but it won't be much more expensive), because this allows my favorite artists to receive more reasonable compensation.

Some days are just too good to be - financial viable. Glad that I stocked up when the Gift Card was at 81%.

Note also that the 20% for new items for the two recent events do stock, together with the 40% of today for your wishlist if you have the necessary two items each wishlisted.

Thank you for pointing that out.

The discount is a perfect match for the first day's "80% off* up to 5 with any New Release over $1" offer.

I wasn't buying anything until I saw your post. Thank you. Then I saw Charlie Judge's post about clearing out his wishlist, and added more to the cart. Fortunately, I splurged on 81% off gift cards and had beaucoup tokens.

What deal gave 80+% off on gift cards??

  • jmucchiellojmucchiello Posts: 1,754

Perhaps they meant the 19% off deal (in inverse) from the end of June sale?

I assume it means paid 81%, instead of 100%, for the card - we had 19% off in the June wrap-up

Yeah, that makes more sense. Sorry, pre-coffee.

While I got a couple things from my WL, the bundles in this sale are incredible! I'm happy that I got some of them I thought would always be out of reach for $2.50 each.  Hopefully there'll be more good deals tomorrow (and my team wins its match!).

  • joannajoanna Posts: 2,629

Well, my husband convinced me that $11 buy-in isn't that bad for some nice stuff, so I ended up building a modest cart, and even without going crazy, the buy-in's value divided between the items I got (ooof! some bundles!) was acceptable.

And thank you Cam Fox for that reminder about new release discounting featured artists too. Since all the $2.5 items counted toward the $18 of the D+ coupon, I picked two featured artists items that were discounted to under $6 total and got the coupon out of the way too (and the items for free with it), so I don't have to worry whether there's going to be a good deal later this month.

Trying to figure out today's (yes, I stayed up late) Daz marketing e-mail. "Freedom starts with free." It sure does. But "Daz sale starts with buy-ins" :D From what I can see, nothing is free (not that there has to be, but well, that's what the email says), so I guess it's just a random catchy subject line.

Same offer, today's featured artist includes my favorite sugatak, my wallet is showing a pained expression.

I bought the wrong thing: https://www.daz3d.com/z-mix-and-match-hurt-and-injured-expressions-for-genesis-8. It's only for G8 and not for G8.1. My expression looks just like the cover.

...hmm, the  email mentions  "Freedom Starts with Free" but I fail to see what the "free" offer is.

I posted the same in the reporting thread. I don't see anything free.

Tomorrow, it'll be 'Freedom ends with dom'.

Saw the "free" email, came to the store, discovered there was nothing free, then learned there's been a bunch of discount orange banners/in DIM for folks. None of which I got despite my spending here going crazy over the past few weeks. So now I am just cranky :P Still, picked up a handful of goodies yesterday at a very nice price so I suppose I cannot be too mad.

Was just looking at the Unique summer sale.

Not sure who's going to really use today's repeat sale. I'm sure anyone who was willing to load up a cart with $2.50 goodness already overspent yesterday. And I doubt there were a lot paychecks cut between yesterday and today.

Problem for me is that these kind of ones you cannot use your tokens, so despite for the first time in ages having 6 they don't work wiht the $2.50 stuff at all, which lowers the incentive a bit, though admittedly the main stumbling block as having to spend $10+ on an item I don't want/need to unlock the discounts, so it's a game to work out is there enough of a saving on something I pick up that it offsets the loss on something you don't want.

Often this kind of situation results in me not feeling it and my cart stays full until its cleared in a day or twos time haha

Well, since "free" didn't have anything actually free, so maybe it'll be "fully dressed in plain realistic outfits" kind of day instead?

LOL I'd take it... would mean I could join the shopping fun. None of the buy ins are tripping the light fantastic for me so far.

So how will we know when the "free" offer is fixed? And where will it be?

  • TorquinoxTorquinox Posts: 4,754

The sales reporting thread has more info than this one. @frank0314 wrote, " We also reported the issue with the freebie offer and are still waiting on a reply. The offer will be an on-site banner and an in-app (DIM, I believe). We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we are trying to get things fixed as fast as we can. "

I waited til today and I at least like the Burger Meal, so will probably get some bundles. Glad to know the D+ coupon works with this, I wondered about that.
