The quick answer is 'No. I did not arrange or render the scene in Carrara.'
To be honest, I did not remember doing that. Then I noticed that I had put in the description 'Daz+ PC Club Anniversary Sale.' By itself, that didn't mean I did it in Daz Studio, but it gave me a hint of where I would find my old drafts. My project files are in Daz Studio DUF format.

thanks
I also since discovered there is an exterior prop version of it which you likely used
the creator does have a warning about loading the full figures after all
It is now up to 61.6% load. I mention it because for today, you can look at my time stamps and get an idea how long it is taking to load. In the future, I think the forum just lists date. But for now, you can see minutes. It took 17 minutes to advance another 4.8% of the load.

No problem. And now you got me curious so I am trying to load it in Carrara while I do other stuff around the house, and occasionally checking in.
The full Space Road Stop, https://www.daz3d.com/space-road-stop ,never completed its loading in Carrara. The program eventually crashed, although it did not freeze my computer. I don't know exactly how long it took to crash, or how much progress it ultimately made in loading. I had been doing other chores around the house.

I am just confused
I actually have gotten VWD to work in the Carrara beta version with the python script installed on my C drive which is a SSD
3X in a row now on my Win10 machine
so which if not all of those factors is important, I have no idea
Beta has different extensions to the release build, a trial and error mix of which ones clash with each other
also it uses my CPU heavily which might be why it worked on my far superior Win7 CPU before that stopped putting out a signal
so the script being on the C drive may help with that as my externals can go to sleep if not in constant use
I have not been successful with fiddling around with power management settings to stop that, it seems to be a Seagate feature
updated my Nvidia driver, now Octane render 4 Carrara doesn't work
wonderful /s
will try rolling back
Otoy recommends 431.86
if my AI stuff won't work with that, so be it
in the end, Carrara is more important
...and it won't let me install it
OK back in business 581.42 works
my Zynk Zydian character in AK totem suit is overjoyed
BE AWARE: if you get or have got these free props
Destroy! - A pack of props and crowd generator tools submitted by @FrankTheTank
then you'll not need DS6 as it won't do the weight transfers needed to use the models in Carrara
You will need DS V4.x to do the transfers.
There are a lot of usefull models in the package but most will need the usual tweaking of textures etc in Carrara..
Uh-oh, was looking at getting a high-end graphics computer with a 5060Ti card, might need to reconsider .....
you can still have DS|4 installed too, in fact you need it for all the plugins,
Also,
Filament will use your onboard graphics and actually the 5060Ti card OpenGL component, I think too.
wow.. I bought mine just before the price hike and now it's $5,000au more that what I paid in August last year!
the game ready figures import rigged and can rotate the bone, could add IK
no Blendshapes
no weight blending conversions needed?
its an FBX so you import it, not load from the browser
ok.. I thought that was a duf
is there an easy way to apply poses in Carrara with fBX?
I got this one as the freebie. .... just needs materials adjusted and had to shrink the hair cap down
if you make it an animation group, you can at least re-use poses
and they should work on any of the other ones if inclined to get
otherwise Unreal Engine is probably the only free pipeline for animation
and possibly Mixamo
I found it fairly easy to retarget in UE4.27
you could grab a free duf character (just a shaping morph) too so hope you did
not sure if need to be in the same cart, is same code
Very cool. I haven't tried mine yet. Thanks for the info!
OK
import the FBX into the Carrara plugin called DAZ Studio
set rotation on the base and garment to 0
choose the Genesis9(2) that loads with it
apply G9 poses, animations or Aniblocks (you then bake to timeline)
as far as I have gotten
not figured out how to apply to the Carrara figure
good for extras in D|S scenes though

I am trying to work with this monstrosity
in Twinmotion admittedly because sets this big usually don't play well in Carrara
well, this is impossible to use even in Twinmotion
so...
I followed the DAZ-DEALS links to the gallery and see this https://www.daz3d.com/gallery#image=1228861
our own Ted
(gallery image link expired in less than an hour)
so Diomede, did you render this in Carrara?
If so, was it a challenge?
and no, I cannot test it myself yet because it's frozen up my Twinmotion UI and is using all my VRAM and RAM

So I tried. And my test to load it in Carrara did not go well. Load hung up at 56.8%.

Failure.

yeah, what I expected TBH
why was so intrigued seeing your render
