Missed some useful items because of this
Missed some useful items because of this
Same here. 2.99 does not apply. But I think I know the reason. If there is an item in the list you already bought before, Daz thinks that you used your chance (Offer usable once per customer)
They give more than that away at most Pro-bundle sales! $20 in store credit is nothing, just $8.00 more than monthly PC coupons. It would show good will towards all the customers they are pissing off and who they could potentially lose...
I just tried a couple of items from https://www.daz3d.com/new-years-countdown-items#index=0&order=popular^1&filtered=1 in my cart and they show the $2.99 prices - though I did not check out since I have no need of them.
I'm not certian I understand the meaning of Sempie's statement. Daz tries to mark products as owned, so how would you end up with an item in your cart that you purchased previously unless you purposely bypass those safeguiards? (I've done this when testing carts.)
This bug indirectly stopped me from buying the current Pro-bundle/free bundle combo/free extras. Sure, it was my choice, but it still cost them the sale. (I was so tired of stuffing around I dumped the cart, and having thought about it since, I don't care if I don't buy the bundle in question.) But as you say, sales were the more you add the cheaper it gets sure pass the $20 mark, and by a long way
.
Nothing in today's batch I already own, if I use my Only show owned tag.
Still all items wind up in my cart for $9.95
Nicy try, but no cigar.....

Possibly they are older items that have changed their SKU numbers? I know I've seen a dozen old items I own like this, where the SKU don't match and don't show as 'owned' for me.
Edit: quick example SKU 5240 (MyLilAlien) show as unowned for me, but is in my DIM as SKU 3058.
Uncheck Hide Items I Own and you will know if there is Owned Item in the 2.99 Countdown List
Buy any New Release, and you will get access to all 2.99 Products in the Countdown Sale
Poser only user.
Not interested in new releases....
Buy any New Release, and you will get access to all 2.99 Products in the Countdown Sale
Only Show Owned does not show for me too. Just uncheck Hide Items I Own and you will see some Item You own
Again; there's nothing in today's batch that I own. Your theory is off...
The green circled button shows you don't own this. The red-circled one does and if you press it, should take you to it in your product library. As dragonfly says, however, there may be a some exceptions through error. Adding items one at a time could resolve this.
When I am signed out from my account and add item to Cart it shows 2.99 in Cart. When I log in, it shows 9,99. That means that Daz thinks that I already used it.
I was misquoted and never made such a claim...
Usually when I added a new item to the cart, the $2.99 items went up to $9.95 instead of down an extra 20% off. Today the $2.99 items actually don't go up to $9.95 with a new item in cart but don't have the extra 20% off. Progress, I guess. There's only one thing I want this round anyway because I picked up everything else I wanted during the PC $1.99 sale (which actually magically worked!) Just another day, another sales glitch.
Yes, I saw later that they tried to correct the misquote.
I think what sempie was saying was a theory that if you already own one of the $2.99 items (as in, a past purchase) maybe the cart is seeing you as already purchasing from that category so you don't get the $2.99 price, as you have already "used" the sale.
Lucky you. Not part of the PC Club.
Poser only user at that; this buy a new thing to unlock bigger sales is of nu use to people like me..
Don't invest in Iray stuff or generations higher than genesis 2.
Mostly buy older stuff that I missed.
There's only three or four DAZ sales per year that are of any use to me.
This would have been one of them.
Oh, well...
1) Top 2019 Sellers - 50% OFF* Buy 2 to get 60% OFF*, buy 3 or more to get 70% OFF*
70% off $47.23 = $14.17, NOT $17.85
2) Select New Year Countdown Items. Get up to 5 'New Year Countdown’ Items $2.99 each
So called $2.99 items are $9.95
3)Get unlimited 'New Year Countdown’ Items for $2.99* when you buy any New Release over $1 - AND also get an EXTRA 20% OFF* them (20% OFF replaces your Loyalty Discount if its bigger)
Price does drop to $2.99 but Extra 20% does not apply.
4) 50% OFF Historical Top Sellers 60% OFF* with any New Release
With new release $14.98 @ 60% off should be $5.99, but is in cart at $8.38
Without new release $14.98 @ 50% off should be $7.49, but is in cart at $10.49
5)At this point I stopped checking. I expect everything else is just as screwed up.
First it was annoying, then negligent. Now it is [redacted to prevent deletion of message.].
Please list the products you're looking at where possible so that we can test.
Any and everything I tried to put in my cart. Do I get paid for doing DAZ beta testing?
Points 2 and 3 are nothing new.
Points 1 and 4: discounts do not work that way, never have, and those sections have always worked properly.
For 1) they are already discounted 50% (with a couple of exceptions), Buy 2, the discount goes up to 60%, not an additional 60%. Buy 3, the discount goes up to 70%, not an additional 70%.
For 4) same idea. They are already at 50% off, a new release pushes it up to 60% off, not an additional 60% off. Loyalty discounts and PC+ 10% on DO's are extra, and they are compounded.
Yes. on point one, you are not getting 70% more, your item jumps to the higher discount, 70% if you have 3 items and I have 30% loyalty so got the right discount. And I understand you're frustrated and you're getting it on everything you try, but it helps us for you to be specific.
One of the ways I test is to use an unlogged account. This puts me at the base where the products start at 50%, with three they go to 70% and then I have the lowest loyalty which gives me about 71-72% off total.
Really? so how come they are listed at -66%, -50% etc thoughout that category? The discount should apply to the advertised price. On this case it appears that a loyalty discount is the cause of my issue (case 4).
As for case 1, Take this for example:
"Top 2019 Sellers - 50% OFF*"
Mr Woo -66% $47.23 ($134.95) goes into the cart at $29.75
Where does $29.75 come from? It isn't 50% off. It isn't 30% loyalty off.
Frankly, this whole sales system should be banned, Read the others comments above. People are sick to death of getting stuffed around every day. People are sick of having to take a special "DAZ maths course". What is wrong with "special 50% off" where 50% of 100 = 50, not some magical number that isn't even revealed in the final invoice?
