Will there be a female counterpart to Sanjay?
The model looks more realistically young without the HD morphs in truth.
I don't have any inside info, but I'm certain of it ;)

Anyone who has bought the Iron Fire Outfit - does it come with that long hair attached? And if so, I presume it has it's own material zone - is it mapped in a way that means I'd be able to use a hair shader on it? (In the promo pics the colour is always the same)
To be honest, can’t tell that much of a difference. (HD is on left.)
Hopefully ‘limited time’ is a mistake or not some future policy. Can’t imagine them going to the trouble just to remove it from store after a short time.

If you look at the "clay" untextured render at the end of the promos, it's pretty obvious that there is no hair included. (also not mentioned in the "What's Included" section, but if it were part of the mask, it might not be mentioned directly). I would guess the one used in the promo is one of these two:

Put it this way - I've never yet seen them do an ethnic character without a female version. The other way around? Yes, but if there's an ethnic male, there's likely to be a matching female.

Just waiting for my first Arji/Sanjay render to finish. It takes a while as my computer is seriously underpowered, heh. But even at 22% rendered he is looking so handsome.
This really is the figure I most wanted. I dithered like mad over whether to get the Pro or Base version... but ended up with the Pro, plus the two other chaps. So now I have 5 lovely Indian skins and morphs. I can't wait to try mixing them up and adding other guys in.
I have not yet tried that fantastic LadyLittleFox hair. I suspect I will not be able to use it as it is dForce. I bought some dForce hair a while back and had to return it as my poor computer just wouldn't have any of that. Fingers crossed though, as it does look really nice.
The beard that comes with Arji is fantastic, btw. Plus a couple of the other guys have their own facials hairs too. Lots of nice "face fuzz!"
And I wonder if I can use Mr Woo, Floyd or Edward to age Sanjay a bit. Some older Indian men have the most wonderful faces. There is a lovely chap who works in a nearby newsagent. He is in his 70s and sooo handsome. I have always loved older "lived in and experienced life" faces the most.
This about the precedent being set here. If this starts becoming the norm, then what? We cannot allow this to continue. This is right up there with Daz Connect Encrypted content in terms of consumer unfriendly practices, and it needs to be fixed right now.
It is a real shame, because this HD controversy (and lack of a great deal) casts a cloud over this otherwise nice looking release. And then Daz complains about how poorly men sell. If you want money, Daz, don't be slimy. You are capable of better. Be better than this.
You don't have to use dforce with it. It even has a preset to turn off the dynamics.
Yeah, I don't own this hair (yet) but I own Dforce Kinley Hair by the same PA, and although it takes a bit of time to simulate, it doesn't seem to require as much computing horsepower as some of the other DForce hairs in my collection.

Doesn’t seem like a very smart long range business model but what do I know. Heck, I’d make it a requirement that the store must list hair & outfits in promos. Save people like me having to ask.
Also has me wondering how many people aren’t on the forum and don’t ask-- then don’t buy if they don't know what it is! Seems like the store could make more money if new releases (like some) list “Products Used.”
Now add, “Act now! Limited Time only! Once it’s gone-- it’s gone forever!”
Sanjay was an exception because I like ethnic diversity. If it had been any other product, I’d have probably blown it off!

No problem, I have a tendency to skip the clay renders too sometimes, because they're "boring." ;) I shouldn't though, because they often have valuable information.
ETA: the giftcard sale pushed me over the edge. Instead of owning Sanjay Pro Bundle, Sanjay HD Addon, Raj, Wild Fury Expressions, two texture sets, Reinoa Hair, and HD Addons for Michael 7, Leo 7 and Arabella 7 for ~$101, I now own them for ~$89, which is a modest but definite improvement.

As much as I loved the Pro Bundle, it was too much for me, so I went ahead and just grabbed the base and the HD. And obviously, this Thanjay 8 render is just gallows humor.
Haven't played much with him, but he's easily one of my favorites.
Notes on the DForce Wanderer Outfit:
-There are no handheld presets for the weapons. This is kind of implied by the promo art for the base outfit, and by the "What's Included" list but it is not perhaps as explicit as it might be. The sword and knives are individual parented props anchored to the chest armor with rigid nodes. To pose them in the character's hand (as seen in the promo art for the extra texture package), you would have to select them with node select, unparent them (or duplicate node, if you prefer) zero all translations and rotations in the parameters tab, and then manuever it into the character's hand as best you can.
-The textures for the chest armor from the addon set apply as hierarchical materials, meaning that you have to select G8M while he's wearing the chest armor, click on the hierarchical preset, and the material will apply to the chest armor and the weapons. This is a great time saver if you are using the outfit on the figure it is meant for, but if you want to mix and match the weapon styles for some reason, or have back-converted the outfit to an older figure, side-converted it to G8F (or are reading this sometime in the future after forward converting this outfit to Genesis 9000), it will not work. You will need to have a G8M wearing the outfit, apply the different hierarchical presets to him, and then save out the individual materials you wish (will need to node select the prop weapons and save their materials out separately). On the plus side, the PA was nice enough not to make us do this for every single piece of the outfit! Again, this is a perfectly valid design choice, but users need to be aware of it.
-There are 3Delight options for all textures, so kudos for that, and the outfit in the flesh has more panache and looks more realistic than you might expect based on either set of promo art. The main hood morphs seem to be for fitting it over hair more easier.
Not a fan of Thanos (not even in the "disagree but sympathize" sense), but your picture turned out really well. :)
I would not buy this bundle is it was three dollars, simply because I don't respond well to dangling carrots and never will support them.

Thank you. Not only for the complement but also on the info on the dForce Wander Outfit. That was the one outfit I liked the most from the Bundles for fan art renders (particularly the sword).
It is a very cool sword, and like you I really liked the kind of urban fantasy vibe of the outfit, so it was the first thing I tested. :)
I understand your position but disagree with your metaphor. Disappearing HD Addon is a stick, not a carrot.
This seems like the most meager reward ever for those who've bought a decent amount of G8 content. No extra off Sanjay? Just $70 in older content? Am I missing something?
There is a fairly large amount of Genesis 8 content in the offer category (albeit a reasonable amount of it from previous core bundles), so I'm not sure "older content" is an entirely fair description.
Yeah, at one point I was thinking about getting Christian 8 with my "$40 free DO content", but then the HD addons for the Genesis 3 characters went into fastgrab while still qualifying for the Sanjay 8 free content offer, so I snagged those instead.
I'm thinking those who wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week will see more of those daz select items with 58% off and will be able to get more bang with that $70 of content. I was debating about waiting to see if Goldtassel or some of my other favorite PAs with Daz originals would have something new released and their items further discounted. But with Zevo's items being discounted yesterday my impatience won out and I picked up Sanjay and made the most of the $70 off that I could.
With sales usually being better with female releases I'm hoping Kala's is great.
The last few purple banners I got were to entice me into buying stuff I didn't even want, so I was really happy with the one for Sanjay.
My first Sanjay render. Using Arji body, eye brows, beard, and skin. Davensh eye color. and UHT2: Ultimate color to texture the hair, eyebrows, and beard.
I'm finding it frustrating that sets that offer fibermesh eyebrows and beards only have textures for the beard. So I need to use an alternative if I want the eyebrows and facial hair to match.
I've been watching Turkish tv shows this year and was playing with Sanjay to get more of a Turkish look. I think Sanjay has really opened up the posibilities for South Asians and Middle Easterners. I'm hoping a lot of PAs will make more add-ons for Sanjay or take some inspiration when making new characters.
