The free HD addon is eating part of your platinum club coupon. This is not desirable, but so far as I know is how the PC coupon works.
Platinum club coupon doesn't apply properly when the cart contains a "free with purchase" item which would normally qualify for the coupon.
yeah that. i wrote a sales support ticket last time and got the difference, but the response wasn't exactly all sorts of fuzzy..told me its in writing somewhere that it doesn;t give the entire aamount when a free item is in there.
I just looked and its in red letters on the main PC+ page ... never saw it befoire myself as I never go there.
I hope for G9 that HD morph packages are created in addition to the usual DO head, body, & expression packages for G9F/G9M.

Yes, but they should do something about it. I have the same issue with the PC+ coupon, and I sent a help ticket.
PC+ coupons are not supposed to be used when you have a free item in the cart.
Interesting marketing decision... trying to force people into buying the figure right now, right? Doesn't work with me though... instead I probably just remove him from my wishlist...
used to work with free stuff in the cart though..years ago maybe...not that long ago ... it was one of the great incentives of the Platinum Club ... now its just a means of getting you to not use it so you tend to buy something else later.
That is not what I was told. I was told by jack Tomalin (I'm pretty sure it was him) after also being advised by CS not to use the coupon with free items in the cart that it was fine to do so; you will just need to send in a ticket.

So if the HD add-on is no longer available after the initial brief intro period, will different promo pictures be used or were they rendered using HD? I like some of the skin detail in the Sanjay pics. However, if that detail can't be achieved without tools that are no longer available (and therefore a purchaser in the future will never be able to achieve the same image), then that's clearly false advertising.
Seems like a stupid and short-sighted decision. Why would a PA want to devalue their own work in that way. I'm another person that can't buy it now, and won't in the future if this policy is in place.
It seems that every time I'm not going to be home from work until around 9pm, that is the day that Daz release a pro bundle that I'm interested in. I really like the look of this figure, so I've bought it with the intention of downloading on Sunday when I have some free time. Very nice to once again see some variety in the Genesis 8 figures.
The only negative I can see today though is the HD add-on not being available at all after the initial sale offer. Why should customers who come to Daz later never be able to get the full functionality of this figure? It is something that I've seen in online games, where newer players can never get certain items. I don't like it there, and I really hope that Daz are not moving in this direction with products.
PA normally doesn't get any say once it becomes a daz original. Why blame them?
Sure, customer support might be flexible about this, but officially you will not get the full discount if you have a free item in the cart. See this page: https://www.daz3d.com/platinum-club-plus where the red warning says: "Please note: Coupon will not fully apply if free items are in Shopping Cart."
HD add-ons are Daz Originals, not PA items. The PA who created it initially sold it to Daz and has no say in how Daz chooses to market it.
(Not that I think this particular marketing decision is a good one, it will definitely hurt the sales of the figure IMO)

Its a cheap tactic. Seems like Daz is desperately trying to make up for lost revenue honestly. Forcing the hardcore/dedicated buyyers to get it now or forever lose out in this option. But honestly theyll sneakly bring back the HD addon months later. I seen games that do these exclusives deal to rake in more money at the beginning and bringing it back later lol. Dirty marketing tricks.
No personal disrespect intended, but that has to be the most asinine thing I've ever heard. To what end does this serve? (other than keeping people who can't/don't/aren't around currently) from buying it? If the new policy is to make them "collectors items" then I'm going to stop buying them right now. ALLLLLL of them. I don't play that, not with non-physical stuff. It's not like the value of the SD Sanjay is going to go up if one happens to have the HD morphs - c'mon. I think you people need to rethink this. It's already woefully unpopular. With all the other troubles you guys have been having lately (botched sales, website problems, borked installs, missing items from installs, etc.) I don't think you NEED anymore hits to your reputation.
WHY IS IT that you guys have to mess with nearly every single male release in some way (that you don't usually do with the females), and then turn around and say "Male stuff doesn't sell"? I just don't get it. Well, ,maybe they don't sell as well because you sabotage them right out of the gate....

Theyll bring it back dont you worry. This is just to force dedicated buyers to get it now even when you on a budget. Make more money in the beginning :)
as I cannot afford him now with the HD free no longer making the HD available later when I am more cashed up at a price is not exactly the way to squeeze more money out of me
I may or may not grab him cheaper or with less perks but its still another item they cannot sell me isn't it 
I agree with everyone about this... It is a silly notion for sure. I don't ever buy the HD add ons unless they come with the character already, which was short lived but now this?? REALLY DAZ? Not silly, just stupid.
meh maybe they want the ones who cannot afford Sanjay to just buy the HD for now

About half of the ones I have were either free or heavily discounted on characters I felt really needed them (older characters mostly), as my hardware really struggles with high levels of subdivision, but I have certainly retroactively bought a few for characters I've made a lot of use of.
I certainly wouldn't have been at all impressed to discovered I was only allowed to own the basic version of characters because I got into Daz after their initial release.

Wow, that was a pleasant surprise!
I can still remember in the not too distant past, certain people would give every reason under the sun why PA's couldn't make more ethnic base characters and that Daz users should just learn the program well enough to "do it themselves".
Change comes slow, but it eventually comes -- even in software assets.

Sanjay is absolutely awesome and definitely what I've long wanted! With some of the "freebies" getting an extra PA discount, that made my $70 go even farther. The HD disappearing is a strange decision, but I guess at least we have confirmation from DAZ that it will be around for 2 weeks? We don't always get a heads up on the exact timeframe of time-limited deals.
