Looks like a Superman that would be at home in most Batman renders

Yep, started out kinda goofy, but looks promising!!

Not sure how I feel about Legends of Tomorrow though. Big fan of Arrow and Flash, and like the idea of Hawkgirl, but Canary coming back from the dead kinda seems off, guess we'll see how it does. The comics have some pretty off the path storylines that i don't see translating well in a realistic TV show, but the CW are doing ok so far, so hoping for the best.

    I am still waiting for a Ka-Zar TV show/movie

Very cool render there Mr. Kane.

Yea, saw the Legends trailer and that was equally as cool. I wasn't so much disturbed by Canary (Sarah) coming back from the dead, comics and entertainment do it all the time (ie: Wiley Coyote from Road Runner, etc....) but the way they have the Atom all done up in the heavy armor, that was really messed up to me.... Sorry, someone that needs to be fast and shrinks down .. makes zero sense to me. What I was most surprised at was bringing Firestorm into it... I can't wait to see that transformation in a bit more detail eventually. That's just freaking cool!

White Canary struck me poorly as well, but I am happy with the character coming back as I think the way they "wrote her out" sucked majorly and I frankly am not as much of a fan of the "other" Canary.

I wish they had gone with a COMPLETELY different name, though. Done something OTHER THAN Canary.

Well Diana's heroine name is Black Canary so not sure why they switched it to White Canary!

In the TV series, Sarah, the TV Black Canary, an assassin, died. Her sister, Laurel, takes up the mantle. Sarah is brought back to life and, since her sister is already the Black Canary, she becomes the White Canary... kinda like Electra... ;-)

Did you mean Sarah's hero name? Laurel is now Black Canary in the Arrow series after taking the mantle from Sara when she died. Now that Sara is back, she has turned "white".

Apparently she thoroughly sprayed herself with GOTHAWAY(tm)!

"I used to be an emo skater kid dressed in black with lip piercings and constantly overwhelmed by ennui. Then I tried GOTHAWAY(tm)! And now, my life has changed for ever."

Laurel is the real Black Canary in the comic.

Sarah is a made up character for the show. Laurel's first name is Dinah. (even on the show Dinah Laurel Lance). She goes by Laurel on show. In the books her mom was the Golden age Black Canary and then she inherited the role.

Sarah was not in the books. So when the show brought Sarah back to life it looks like they're going the White Lantern Route or Gandalf The White route. and to leave Laurel as the Black Canary.

I watch it on Hulu, like most other TV shows I keep up with.

Yep, I am still trying to find a legit reason why they are going the "white canary" route since it doesn't make much sense to me. I hate when the comics bring people back from the dead, but I find it even worse when they do it in a TV show or movie.

Since the shows crossover each other, it will be interesting to see reactions when Sarah is resurrected, LOL.

Hulu plays terrible for me. I tried 3 times with their servers and they are just not liking my system for what ever reason. It's been well over a year so perhaps I should try again....

The following should be spoiler free, since I'm talking about concepts and staying general, there shouldn't be much story give away.

There is something you have to know about the CW Atom. In the beginning, they had intended to use the Ted Kord Blue Beetle, which is why there were all those Kord easter eggs in every technical thing in Arrow season 2. However, Warner Brothers said, "No Ted Kord for you!" but Plan B'd them with Ray Palmer. So, I think for most of Arrow season 3, they used Find and Replace to change "Ted Kord" to "Ray Palmer", and added some really on the nose puns, like "starting small" etc. I think there may of been a little of, "You know, these kids today, they seem to like that Iron Man guy..." involved as well. So we have kind of a "Ted Palmer-Stark" thing going on with The Atom. Which I can forgive, because Brandon Routh seems like a pretty cool guy, and he bears exactly zero blame for Superman Returns. For me, he was the next best thing to having Christopher Reeve* in a Superman movie but Singer screwed the pooch.

Have you been watching The Flash? I would guess not, given that statement about wanting to see the Firestorm transformation. If not, go back and watch, because there is a lot of Firestorm stuff in there, origin, transformation, flight, fight, etc. Just no "Matter Reconstruction" yet. Actually a little too much was in there for a first season of a show called The Flash. But it's okay, because The Flash is still the best live action superhero series ever. Seriously. It's not even close. In many ways, it is the Anti-Smallville, costume in the first episode, powers in the first episode, clear mission statement, and fully embracing all the aspects of it's comic heritage. And they lay it all on the table and go Big. REALLY BIG considering the resources they have.

As for Sarah, the Lazarus Pit (well, more of the Lazarus Hot Tub) is in play in Arrow Season 3, so that's kind of playing fair.

*There are only "next best things" compared to Christopher Reeve. He was so good in those films, even the bad ones, he was amazing.

Actually, in Arrow they were careful to refer to Sarah as "The Canary". They saved "Black Canary" for Laurel.

Now you have to render a flashback scene. I think that's a rule.

Thanks for the heads up about Firestorm origin on Flash. I don't watch regular TV, only have an antennae so I'll have to wait for it to hit Netflix. It's OK. I like binge watching! lol

I got rid of cable and have been watching Flash on Hulu plus with my Roku. Really like the show and now debating if I want to get the previous seasons of Arrow on DVD.

Then try to stay as spoiler free as you can, because there is some outstanding stuff that you really want to come to fresh. There are some really great reveals.

Since my wife, who is not a super-hero fan, is on vacay with her family I binged watched the first 14 episodes from 6.00 pm- 5.00 am :P then I finished the remainder at a more leisurely pace on Sunday :)

    It was so worth it!
