Nice work as always Joe!
What program are you using to create your costumes? I think you are starting with your very own suit resources meshes and then editing them to the end results. Are you using Hexagon? or something else? If you are using Hexagon, have you considered creating a tutorial of sorts to help us out?
Bit of a WIP, painted up Joe's Flyboy jacket to do a WWII era Captain America. This was my first time painting a texture in Zbrush
Looks really good Lycanth!
Love those Adaptoid, shape and suit!! Good job
thanx Rammy
Didja get the ZB update? I've not had time to play with it. So busy at work and transforming my 1 bedroom apt into a 2 bedroom.... full time job in and of itself. I did get it and got it activated and transferred all my personal files into it but that's about it so far.
It took me about two days to successfully download the thing. I'd used up my allotted number of attempts and they had to reset it for me they were so swamped.
-My most unrealistic hope was that the 64bit version would let me squeeze one more subdivision level out. I still top out at around 20 million polygons though.
-There are videos of people doing amazing things with the box modeling tools that have been introduced.
-you can also add and delete edgeloops with a click using said box modeling tools
-zremesher now allows you to keep your polygroups in a different/cleaner manner than you could previously. So you can slice up a mesh into some really ugly topology and then run zremesher and have pretty decent results.
-no more spirals in zremesher

I use zbrush exclusively. Where I can I start with a basemesh. Sometimes, though, I have to draw a pattern out and scratch model on top of that. The secret to making nearly anything is just edgeloops and inflating. If you poke around you should be able to find tutorials I've posted in the past.
yea, the non spiraling remeshing is just a god send for so many of us. I'm looking forward to trying out the instant hole tool and the traditional modeling tools (well ZB can't do traditional, they do it a bit better in my opinion from what I've seen! lol)
It took me several views before I caught on to what I was looking at here. I recognize the Batman mesh. Where does Superman come from?

It's from Injustice, Gods among us, his New 52 outfit. Posed in 3DSMax, then subdivided and imported into DS.
Hi! I wanted to show these new pics I did. Some of them are for a story I have been working on and others are just ones I wanted to do of Super Sentai Teams. I know not a lot of people do pics of these teams or think of their counterparts, the Power Rangers but here are a few I wanted to show and some that aren't PR/Super Sentai related.
Some more of my pictures
The Gosei Sentai Dairangers are My Favorite, Awesome work!
Have you seen the preview for Shuriken Sentai Ninninger.
Love the look for Ninninger. Hope the series will be awesome
Hadn't rendered this Batsuit yet, so here goes.
I figured this thread would be the best palce to ask...
Any links to good Super- logos? esp Supes, Bman and the various flavors of lanterns?
If you're looking for 2D representations, I've made around 400 wallpapers that should work. FAQ (including using them in your own artwork) here.
If you're looking for 3D objects of the logos, I don't have many currently built, but at least some of them would be reasonably easy to do. I do technically already have all the Lantern logos in 3D object form, though I've only uploaded them in ring form. Oh, and the Legion as well.
Thanks so much Morgan.
I really struggled to make the Wildfire symbol a while back when I was working with M4 but got it done but your work is very clean!
Hmm... Wildfire... that's one I don't think I've done yet. I'll have to add that to the to-do list. :)
That would be awesome. I really prefer and like the original Cockrum and Grell design... not that weird design that was in recent years.

I can use these.... and when I get my S.H.I.E.L.D. logo done, I'll put it on sharecg.
Cool. Glad they're what you were needing.
I really like the second one. That's a Cockrum drawing so yea, of course! lol
Here's one I just found...
3djoji's doing some very impressive costumes/add-ons for the Toon Gen people, things that would be great for other characters; there's some really cool Sci Fi/Retro stuff:

Knocked this out fairly quick. Actually had it done a few days ago, just didn't get back on the forums until now. Thumbnail below, zip file here.
Oh, very nice. Thanks so much! :-)
Workin' on it- gotta l of stuff to do. needs a fliptop wallet/holder and a id card.
I'll do two that will fit- one for the show and a more "general" sc-fi.
So here's a question that I'm hoping is as silly as it sounds, and I figure if any forum users know, it'll be the folks in this thread. I just bought the Genesis Supersuit the other day (basic package). So far seems to be pretty nice. I just have one detail (well, so far anyway) that seems a bit strange. I like the neckline on the Basic Suit (like the earlier bodysuits), as in the attached picture on the left. And I don't seem to see any built-in way to do that with the Supersuit. It has a lot of neck zones that can be given materials or pushed in and out, but nothing that makes it line up with that basic shape. Turning NeckA (bright green in the picture on right) would make it sort of close, but not quite... and then there's the problem with NeckB (yellow). In fact, so far the only option I've found that looks like a real neckline of any type is just turning the whole thing off if I'm not using a full mask.
I know I can just hack it with trans-maps if I want to use the Supersuit with different necklines, but it seems like with all the options that it comes with, I might just be overlooking something obvious. Am I?
No, you're not. Those are the material zones. It's a weird feature for sure.
