Weird indeed. Thanks for the confirmation, Tim.
A little while ago, I reworked all the superhero rings I've created so that they're Poser compatible in addition to Daz Studio. Doing this reminded me that I haven't made much use of them myself yet. (Amazing how you can get caught up with the model creation to the point of forgetting why you're doing it.) So, since I've got all these GL rings, here's an Emerald Twilight tribute.
Just using the Genesis Basic Suit for this, since there's not much fancy about the Green Lantern uniform. Larger version here.
When I use Genesis as my character model, the skin is gray by default but how can I change this?
I tried using SimpleSkin but that didn't work.
Go to the surfaces/rendering tab and then over to surfaces and you can change any surface aspect of any object or figure.
It should come with a couple MAT poses for human skin, and others can be purchased. Additionally, it can use V4 and M4 skin textures, though you may need to change the UV map setting in the Surfaces tab.
Been a while, but I did a bit of kitbashing:
Janet Van Dyne, aka Wasp - CConcept02
(Larger version up in my dA gallery.)
Very nice, Kickair. I like the pattern on her suit.
Meanwhile, here's a bit of silliness from me. I figure the DCU's got to have something like this guy around somewhere, and the thought of a Sinestro ring seeking him out struck me as amusing.
Damn... where did you get THAT?! I like

Thanks, It’s from Injustice, Gods among us. Posed in 3DSMax, then subdivided and imported into DS, then rendered in luxrender
Ooooo, green'n'yellow! My favorite colors!
Inspired by one of my early favorite comics as a kid, Amazing Spiderman #16. Spidey and Daredevil taking on the Circus of Crime.
Started making textures to make "Spider-Gwen" for the Genesis super suit (the mask is Joe Quick's spiderman mask and the hood is Sickleyeild's v4hoodie), I had seen someone had made the textures for the V4 supersuit, but they didn't seem to be offering them for download. So that is why I am doing this (and yes mine will be available for DL if/when they are finished) I only have that front part done this far, but was curious does it look alright to you guys and gals so far?
so for now I ditched the idea of doing spider gwen for genesis as i was able to make contact with the person who had made some for v4 and... Here is Spider-Gwen for Victoria 4 bodysuit

this Gem was developed by my new friend tiangtam and my self
He had originally created the textures which he was kind enough to send me, I fixed some colors and then created textures for sickleyeild’s super hoodie and Mytilus’s Free Sole shoes. After which I made material presets packaged and posted this item with permission from tiangtam smile
please stop by his DA page, check out his art and thank him.
Impressive work, CMKook24601. Thanks to you and Tiangtam for sharing it.
Just finished my first “full” Iray render, and I couldn’t had done it without SickleYield’s tutorials.
Costume by Roguepilot, I just added some Iray shadersand edited some parameters (and a 3D S-shield).
I've been using Superior Iron Man to fiddle with in Iray.
Nice Spider-Gwen, CMKook. You and Tiangtam have done great work there.
Kev, very nice image. Supes looks good, and the robot looks terrific.
JoeQuick, great work as always. Especially that light-only version. Looks like Iray is going to have some pretty impressive results for a lot of folks. (I have to pass for now; PC's too old.)
Hey joe did you make that SUperior Ironman? (just asking cause i know you make great stuff but also cause i have seena few Ironman suits out there :P)
if so, can we get that? it's purty! and if not where can we get that?... it's purty!
I've posted this image in the "I'm Animated"-thread too.
I really wish that someone create sooner or later (I prefer sooner) a new suit for the Genesis 2 males characters, like Nadino's Mach-Suit.
The Genesis Spersuit is not bad, but he has too many "problems" with the seams and the matzones (see neck on my picture), apart from the problems, that the Supersuit has general with Genesis 2 Characters.
BTW: This was rendered with Iray, rays are postwork with CorelPaint, Texture for Supersuit is from atrion666.
Has anyone gotten part 1 or 2 to give out a working icon?

I have overseen that. Wiil test it as soon as possible. Thanks for the hint!
I have overseen that. Wiil test it as soon as possible. Thanks for the hint! Thanks. I'm a fan and would really like a way to make "lantern" items.
The various items will load, but the symbols themselves will not. I can post the log for it if need be. Can the OBJ's be found somewhere? That would be so much easier.
I'm working on the new Captain Canuck.
I think this will be the basic suit. I still need to model his new helmet, chest piece and backpack.
The suit is Smay's Superhero suit for G2 M.
...awesome. I still have the entire original run of that comic.

I am the person who made The Spectrum both part 1 and 2... what seems to be the issue?
by icons do you mean the different lantern symbols like in the picture below? if so it is because I didn't include them... didn't occur to me people would want the naked lantern symbols. That is just a place holder for the Shader... notice on my screen it doesn't have the little shader label, what happened was while making this I moved where stuff was and the labels when POOF! not sure if it the same on other people's computers but if it is and you know how to make the labels show back up I'd be happy to fix that.
if not please screen shot the issue so I can see it. This was a large project for one of my first, so I have had to fix a few things along way (like missing datafiles and stuff.), so if I can see the problem I can try and help you fix it.
My boys are almost at the comic reading age. My plan is to either get the original series off of e-bay or hopefully the new series will
start with regular issues soon enough.

If I can even get the obj's i can turn them into dz props quickly. These symbols are exceptionally well done.

Hmmmm, I am gonna PM you so we don't flood this thread...
Very Cool!...I was playing around with some Captain Canuck textures a while back...just never got around to finishing them.
Guess 1993 came and went and Canada still isnt the global super power that the original series pegged it as being ;)
