    Hey Joe Quick!

What have been up to lately?

I haven't seen anything new from you recently and was wondering if you were working on anything new.

Impressive work with the Wildfire suit, RAMWolff.

Thanks. I'm more into the traditional costumes from the Cockrum and Grell era's than some of the stuff they have morphed Wildfire and gang into currently.

    I can dig it. :)

I wish either JoeQuick or someone with his massive talent would make a Golden Age set for Genesis and G2M. THAT would really open up the hero renders. :)

    Same here.
Did you read "Convergence: Superboy and the Legion"? It features some of the old gang the way they were in the Levitz/Giffen first years.

Not yet, I'm waiting for the trades on Convergence. I did see some examples so it's nice to see the Legion isn't completely shelved.

Well, with Convergence now over and ALL OF THE MULTIVERSES BACK IN PLAY.... they aren't really on the shelves anymore if you have a good story. :)

Another version appears in the two Booster Gold issues.

From what I've read though Ted "Beetle" Kord is back but isn't he in his own universe now so he and Booster can't be good buds anymore?

That would be a bummer.... unless Booster gets sucked into a separate dimension. :)

Well, he's originally from the future, not sure if it's the Legion's future but I think he's fine because it's a timeline thing and not a universe thing...

I thought they said all universes were valid so, if that is the case, there is at least one dimension where it happened. :)

Well read the comments on CBR and seems allot of folks are saying that DC has basically made some of the story lines and even relationships invalid by doing what they have done. I THINK that Beetle and Gold go back far enough but perhaps not far enough. They met in the JLA I believe in the late 80's early 90's so it would be a shame to see those two separated.

I didn't pick up much of Convergence (except for Doc Shaner's Shazam), but I know that the BwaHaHa era JLA/JLI has been treated like it's own universe for a while now. If you take a look at Justice League 3000, currently published by DC, it takes place in the future of the BwaHaHa JLI. Booster and Beetle are thawed out in the distant future in that book after being put in cryo for some reason, and they interact with some not quite right clones of Superman, Batman, etc.

Maguire was supposed to illustrate the series, collaborating with the old JLI writers, but DC dropped him at the last minute and replaced him with someone more trendy.

Both images are really great. Is the John Stewart rendered with iRay?

Yeah, that Punisher render is great.
I used 3Delight on the GL render, I'm still trying to get IRay right.

Fun style on that Punisher image; don't normally see him done up all cartoon-proportioned.

John Stewart looks great as well; you really did a terrific job with his facial features, Kev.

Very cool shot, looks like you're having lots of fun.
The problem with that, though, is that we need you to finish up the female package for the Animated Styles, so... enough fun, get back to work.

What RAMWolff said: very cool doing resin-model renders, instead of just another superhero poster.
