Typing on an iPhone is harder than typing on an iPad. My iPad is at my mummy’s home. Only mobile device that I have that works is my iPhone. It is sure getting hot out here while waiting for a ride to work.
Non-complaint: Yay! I've worked my way through the first of three storage boxes full of old photographs and pulled out the interesting or meaningful ones.
Complaint: I still have two boxes left to sort.
And it's not just looking at them. The photos are all in the original paper envelopes as they came from the processor and have been stored in boxes for up to 50 years and the boxes have been stored in a hot attic for 15 years. Many of the photos have stuck themselves together and I have to carefully convince them to unstick themselves. 
So far, I've only ruined one photo. 
I've given up on rescuing the negatives. 
Not that I really expect to ever need to use the negatives but it would have been nice. 
Ah, photo negatives. Remember photo negatives? Something else the kids these days don't appreciate or even recognize.
I'm getting old.

I still have a few rolls of undeveloped 35mm and some 120/220 roll film from the Hasselblad. I think there is one place not too far from here, maybe about a 45 minute drive, that still does film processing. I need to get the stuff there before they quit, too. I'm hoping they can scan some of my stuff. I have some prints that I made that are 11x14 and a bunch that are 16x20. My printer/scanner can only do paper size, or maybe legal size, so I can't scan those.
I've been so broke most of the time that I haven't been able to get the film processed. I don't even know what's on them anymore. So, it may provide a nice surprise or two.

I like the article, but the info on Hershey's Dark Chocolate Kisses is off. It claims one piece is 15g of carbs. Wrong. A service is listed as 9 pieces, and one serving is a total of 26g of carbs. One piece, therefore, is only 2.888888888888889 grams of carbs. I usually take two before bedtime. I knew about the benefit for lowering blood pressure, and the advice Dr. Oz gave for BP medicine is to take it near bedtime, so that's what I do. Anohter thing good for blood pressure is Grape Seed Extract. Love the benefits of dark chocolate, though!

A few years ago I won the NY State Lotto (2nd prize) and received about $850. That was enough to get a crown on my tooth and a nice printer on sale at OfficeMax. I got an EPSON WF-7520 that can scan up to A3 or 11"x17" images and print up to 13"x19" on paper. I keep telling people around here locally that I can do larger size scanning & printing for them but everybody takes it up to OfficeMax anyway.
I think I've printed out 3 13"x19" images for myself. Very nice images!! 
, but finding a reasonably priced 13"x19" frame is a bitch! 
While going through this box of photos I found one roll of 120 undeveloped color film from my old Mamiya C3 camera. It's at least 25 years old. I have no idea what's on it or if I even want to find out.
I've finally made it through the 2nd box of photos. They were not in the processing envelopes but had already been put into albums within plastic display sheets. About 50% slides and 50% color photos. I found I could view the slides by putting a nearly empty white screen on my monitor and holding the page of slides against it. Many of the slides had color shifted and lost the blues. But about half of them still had nice colors. Probably the difference between Extachrome and Kodachrome slide films. Found lots of people I forgot who were!
And even places that I'd forgotten that I'd even been to. (*sigh*).
This last weekend I was bemoaning the lack of photos from my first marriage ,I took pictures but they never got developed ,and when I could finally get them developed ,discovered that he had let them freeze so only 2 pictures survived out of 24 rolls of film .....none of the kid baby pictures ,where we lived nuthing ,very depressing
You might be able to fix the color balance with Photoshop, I've done that with some photos that had gone red-shift.

...I have a bunch of unexposed 35mm rolls as well. In the same situation of where to get them processed and how to afford it. Sometimes wish I had a WABAC machine to go back to when there were still these around.

Non-complaint: Finally got through the third box of photographs. These were all my finished photo albums. Much of my (semi)-professional stuff. Damn, I was pretty good!
A lot of black & white work from back when I did all my own b&w processing. Many portraits. Lots of photos of places at the Kennedy Space Center where tourists couldn't go. A lot of surfing, boating and physique contest shots. 
From the box of loose photos I now have a pile of loose interesting photos of people, places, and things that need to go into another photo album. But luckily in one of the boxes I found three virgin photo albums. So, guess what I'll be doing tomorrow.
When I got my first 35mm camera, I stopped bringing film to places like that. I delt directly with processing labs. didn't want my film traveling out of the house, getting lost or damaged. Especially so with the 120/220 film from the Hasselblad! Printed my enlargements in a rental lab darkroom. Interesting experience. Did B&W in the trays, but the color prints were a little better. Used the enlarger and did test strips to get the color the way I wanted it, then we fed the paper into this machine in the dark. It could do very large prints. Best, because the machine kept all the chemicals fresh, at the right temperature, and everything timed perfectly.

..considering the dearth of processing labs today I'd still welcome these. I can still buy film, just can't find where to get it processed. To replace my 35 mm setup with digital gear would take 1,000$s that I could never afford on my meagre SS benefits,

...so I shut my system down for the day while I was out because of the heat.
When I turned it back on after I got home and clicked the Firefox shortcut, it pulled a "W10" and attempted to install an update to the latest version. The interesting and annoying thing is I don't have it set to auto update. Took 20 min to get things working again as after I tried to shut it down in Task Manager (getting an "unable to complete process" message and a desktop with no icons) I had to reset my system and wait for another full boot up after which I went to the installer for the version I have been using (56.2) that was saved and reinstall it. I have not updates since ver 56.2 as it seems every time I update FF I lose saved passwords and plugins/add ons that I need.
It's just that the refrigerator will produce more heat when cooling down the water, than the device is removing.
If you use dry ice (frozen carbondioxide / CO2) instead of frozen water it will be much more effective. Though I think you'll have to modify the design so the evaporated CO2 is led outdoors through a pipe, otherwise you might get CO2 poisoning.
I see people playing cornhole here (it's popular to make your own cornhole sets here no surprise) and they'll routine toss 100% of the bean bags in game after game after game. I'm like they shouldn't of made an effort at basketball or something.

Also, couldn't you use bagged ice instead? Wold cost a couple $ more but you wouldn't have to freeze the water in the fridge (my freezer is to small to hold a gallon jug).
Yeah dry ice would be a major issue as you would not only need need a vent pipe, but a dual jacketed system and second fan to draw the CO₂ gases outside.
Thought about one of those floor AC units but those are pricey compared to in-window ones.
Tomorrow will be our 25th day with highs of 90° or above as recorded at the airport (in the city it will be the 28th day) This will match the longest string of 90°+ days I've seen in my thirty years here which occurred in 2015.
...and there is yet another heat wave on the way after Saturday (when we actually have a significant chance [60%] of some water from the sky and temps in the 70s)
If you just put the dry ice in a closed container with just a pipe outdoors it will take care of itself.
I bought one once, not an evaporator but the type with a compressor. The performance is poor - it's pretty useless if the temperature is over 32 C / 90 F, and it uses a lot of power (some 2000W AFAIR). Technically it's a terrible design because it blows the hot air out through a pipe which means the same amount of fresh hot air is drawn in from outside. Instead of just having the cold curcuit inside the room and keeping the compressor and hot circuit outside, which the better types do. It's also very noisy. If you sit right where the cool air blows out it's OK, but the effect on the rest of the room is generally small, even with relatively small rooms (like 15-20 m2). So I've simply trashed it.
CO2 ( carbon dioxide) isn't toxic, that is CO (carbon monoxide). That's why it safe to use for stage effects and so on.
