I don't think I've ever gotten green fireflies, but occasionally if I'm not careful tweaking the settings I'll get like odd "empty"/transparent pixels speckled across the skin. I'm not sure what causes that.

    I've found that giving the SSS Direction setting a number, I've only tried it between .55-.65, gets rid of those green speckles and seems to stop that weird no-background transparency. At least that seems to work for me when trying to duplicate the G8 skin settings for G3.

    Edit: If translucency is set to .9 the figure still renders see through with no BG. hmmmmmm....

    I've included four different settings to accommodate different lighting and different tastes. Feel free to make farther changes to the skin if it's not to your liking, of course. :)

    Download the zip file, then open the folder and drop the "Presets" folder into your My Library. You should then be able to find the new settings under Presets >> Materials. 

    Let me know if you guys have any trouble with them or if I messed up with the packaging of the files. 

    I'll also upload them to ShareCG or Rendo when I get some time. :)

       

    Also, if you guys want to know my render settings and lighting (which makes a difference in helping to enhance the details), let me know and I'll see about sharing those as well. :)

    hahah Yeah, that glitch is so weird. Next time I get that issue I'll try your fix, hopefully it works with lower translucency settings. :) Thank you!

    Elijah I actually get. What I don't get is Brodie. He was a tween boy, not a slim adult male. If they really had to include a Gen 6 male, Jayden would have made much more sense.

    Though, if someone like Elijah is comparable enough to David & Lucian, why didn't they include characters like Eva or Genevieve in Stephanie's promotion?

    Had some fun with Lucas 8, a dash of M8 and some morph packages. Than continued the fun with postwork in Topaz Studio (the free version). This be the result, posting two of the pictures I ended up doing.

    That would be cool! :)  I'm not sure Daz would go for it though. lol

    Of course they would. I remember a product for Victoria 7 (that I cannot presently locate) that offered new settings for her. Judging from this forum alone, people really need options for Genesis 8 that make them compatible with Genesis 3 in the same render. Right now, I can either light for Genesis 8 Core skins or for Genesis 3, but the same lights rarely work for both.

    Thank you Diva and Kevin :) playing around more with him to see what comes out of it.. The differences between the two pics are two different choices in topaz studio, they both worked from the same base render
