    I've heard that it was in protest against their products being pirated, but I fail to see the logic behind that. When it first is out in the internet it will probably be available there for everyone forever, so the only ones getting hurt are those who want to buy legal copies but can't (and AS lose those sales as well).

    +1  The pauldrons look silly to me, it will be a posing nightmare if the person is doing anything other than just standing there.  And even if someone gets it to work, the person will just look clunky doing whatever they're trying to do. It looks SO much better without them, and good that the vendor gives people the option of having pauldrons or not.

    Hello, so it's Day 1 of catchup. Can you guys tell me how it usually works, like, how manye days / times do we get for catching up ?

    I'm not interested at all by the new / still new releases so I'd rather wait for some better occasion to get a few things...

    And can we expect those to be back later with even more items ?

    This is Daz, your guess is as good as anybody's, but generally the Catch-Up event last for a weekend (maybe a bit longer) but they are normally advertised as Catch-Up Weekends, this is advertised as Day 1, and the featured artists are only the current batch, not all of them so it night be different this year. Best advice I can give (& I often don't even listen to myself so by all means ignore me) if you want/need it now buy it, if not wait another sale will be along later, and new stuff is generally cheaper when it's older stuff (did that even make sense?).

    There is normally a second catch-up sale at the end of the month, but whether it will include all the new stuff or only the second half of the month's releases is unknown, and Daz are notoriously reluctant to let us know in advance what is coming up or how long a particular sale will last.

    But remember, there is always the 30 day money back guarantee, if it turns up cheaper next week or it turns out you bought in haste and don't really want it. But if you do return something it might mean you lost an extra discount on something else so you might not get the full price back as you'll loose the extra discount value.

    I actually kinda like the fact that some of there stuff is no longer availble, it means that if you have it its a bit more unique and you are not so likely to see it in just about every render out there. And as for loosing sales I wonder, you know if you don't get it you may never be able to get it, so in some ways it may incourage sales.

    Yes, same here, even after refreshing. I was wondering if that was normal on catchup day ?

    The newsletter shows no new items.  My memory tells me no new stuff on catch-up days, but am not completely sure.

    So we are left with the option to buy things we absolutely don't want or need just to get some older things cheaper ... as I have bought the one new item I wanted from the new ones yesterday already ... or pay more for the older ones.

    Well, in this case, I prefer paying more for the older ones.

    Agreed. The other option being, maybe, to wait for some other new items and another catchup sale...

    Since the NEW items discount stops at two for 50% off, I limit myself to two new items per cart and leave others for the future sales....

    So I still have NEW items waiting that I want and I will use those to add for a better discount.

    There were two crazy days in a  row...so there was a lot to choose from.

     

    Right now, I'm on standby for the Legends Armor - it's expensive (but worth it!) and the Beast Mode sporty Outfit.

    I decided to clean up on the rest of Aeon Soul's collection and found MORE V4 gems....

    On the other hand it looks like any Still New Release (lots of them out right now) also gives you all available discounts, so you might go back to those rather than, well, yesterday's news... ;-)

    Yeah, saw that too and I'm in love with what this guy does.

     It does seem linked to the PA Sale though, as in my cart with a few "test" items the promo goes down to 75% !!

    Now I just don't know what to do anymore...

    Oh ok that makes sense, I didn't see it advertised so I didnt realize! I might try and see if I can get a refund and re-purchase them with a new release, as others have mentioned.

    @FSMCDesigns, I've never played the game TERA - can you tell me, is the armour VERY similar (as in, recognizable straight away), or was it just the 'feeling' of the armour that made you think that?

    Love the Legend armor and how it plays well with the other AS sets. Lots of great stuff on sale today, but have to sit this one out and pay bills. crying

    I love the wishlist on days like these, and Ati and Overdrawn's plugin. I can go shopping in my runtime instead by hitting the "Show only owned" button. Then I feel rich! laugh

    I just bought Genesis Generation X2, GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2 and GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3 in the sale and I can't find it  anywhere. I have the latest general release of Daz studio installed. How do I find and load theese?

    They're plug-ins, so after installing them you need to add the serial numbers in the 'Help-About Installed Plug Ins' panel, then following a restart of DS the Gen X option will be in the'Windows-Panes' list.

    Edit: Also there is only Genesis Generation X2 in the list, not the other two

    Edit 2: Why isn't there a description of this in the readme page?
