The bathroom has looks inspired by oriental style bathroom's (the sunken bath certainly is), so maybe handles are less in use there. If the door opened outwards you would only need a handle on the outside. Given it is a glass door, there would be little point closing it for privacy!
The shower doubles as a matter transporter pad (rinse me off, Scotty).
That bath should help with a drought.
LMAO!!! I want one of those in real life!
Wow you're right that legitimately is a door, there's light shining in in at least one of the renders.
Uh oh. An M4 and V4 sale. I'm in trouble!
You look in the mirror see what you saw take the saw cut the stool in half two halfs make a hole and crawl out throuhg the hole
Technically it's a bathing room not a bathroom witha toilet
Yeh, but the selection of items is somewhat limited. I didn't see anything I didn't already have and couldn't live without.
There are some great characters by Liquid Rust and Surreality in the sale. And I'm loving this dress: https://www.daz3d.com/trousseau
Never seen it before. It's dynamic too.
It's nice. It's dynamic for Poser though - maybe it might work with VWD in Studio, but not with Studio dynamic cloth.
It's a good way to get the base collection of V4.2 stuff so that you can use the newer models put out elsesite for like $10. If you already have that stuff.... less exciting I'm sure!
There are a lot of things in the V4/M4 sales that can be refit to newer models, especially hair. (See this thread for the "how to," if you need one—ignore the title.) It's a little lop-sided though, with 938 V4 items to choose from and only 164 M4 items. Too bad you can't mix and match between the two categories to get the max discount. I put some shields in my cart to make 3 for M4. Dropped the price down by $4. Major Cache, which I've heard great things about, is now only $2.62...
I only have one page of M4 stuff showing up. I own so much of what's on sale, LOL.
This was/is my fav face morph for V4 from Liquid Rust and I still use her to this day on G3 with GenX https://www.daz3d.com/lr-s-bianca-for-v4
Same here. I'm showing one not even full page of M4, and between a quarter and a third of that is bundles that I already own all the items in. I'm seeing less than a third of the V4s as well and really wishing that there was a way to hide all the dang unimesh fits.
Thanks for pointing her out, FSMC. I bought her at some point in a recent sale and had forgotten I had her. EDIT: Ah, I got her when that Uptown Bundle was like 22 cents back in May.
I just picked up several more of his ladies. The guys he's done are very good too.
@CybersoxXIII LOL We've both been plundering the blowouts so much that there's not much left!
My extensive V4/M4 content tends to get forgotten in the Poser library, and I've stopped buying so much because of that, but the new runtime links for Daz product at rendo looks like a great way to put the old content in the Daz library.
Thanks, Redz. I'm constantly forgetting where the old stuff is (or trying to find it!) I will definitely check that out.
ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i'm so mad at daz! the stacking has been removed: for example BEO Ripper is 40% off should add 60% in monster list of today sales. so, it was 84% this morning, and now....60% only.
conclusion, i'll buy nothing. my cart was full of 135usd of nice sales. Cart empty now
The V4/M4 sale looks like something one should take advantage of, but I can't figure it out.
It's not clear what you do to get the starter bundles, and they're not in the sale. (Of course I scrolled and scrolled looking for them, but maybe they're there and I missed them.) So I assume you DON'T put them in the cart? They just show up later if you buy something in the sale?
The M4 Pro Bundle page doesn't mention anatomical elements. Is that an oversight, and you still would have to buy the Pro Bundle to get them? Or was something different done back in the M4 days?
A lot of the stuff in the sale seems to be items in the bundles. so it's hard to figure out what to buy without wasting money since you'd get it anyway...
why no more stacking?
I'm not sure- I already have both, so I never saw an option to add them.
Interesting note- I was going to render some of the stuff I just bought in that sale, and was surprised to find quite a few of the items in Smart Content. I know Jen has been working hard to get more of the older items over there. More and more are starting to show up, which is wonderful. There's such a huge backlog that I don't expect them all to be done any time soon, but nice to find some there.
The problem I find with fitting V4 hairs to later generations is that the morphs and controls disappear. I still bought about $13 stuff total from this sale... but... like the rest of you, I own nearly everything for V4 and M4 after the last two years of sales.
Donovan, if you parent the hair instead of fitting it, you won't lose the morphs. I parent G3 and G8 hair to V4 and M4, (sometimes even V3!) this way. Just make sure the figure is zeroed, load hair, adjust to fit, then parent to head.
You put the starter kits in your cart and the price drops to $0 when you have three other items from the sale in your cart, plus a new release. platinum club new release works fine.
(source: I bought 3 things plus the Vicky starter bundle).
You rock, Lllynara! :D
I've already got the starter bundles - if we could mix+match the sale I'd be more interested. Some stuff in the V4 part looks like it could be in the M4 part (or both) - like the Rob+Marie elite texture bundle - Rob is in M4 but the bundle is only in V4 as are some other bundles (guess the software won't let it be in both now?).
And why the smurf is the M4 Dynamic Polo shirt in the V4 section?
"Donovan, if you parent the hair instead of fitting it, you won't lose the morphs. I parent G3 and G8 hair to V4 and M4, (sometimes even V3!) this way. Just make sure the figure is zeroed, load hair, adjust to fit, then parent to head"
About the hair fit thing: yeah, I've found hair to be pretty universal. You can get almost any hair to fit any generation or gender. The trick is what Lllynara said. I'll add this, though: make sure the figure you want the hair for is not selected prior to loading the hair. Just stick the hair into the scene on its own; otherwise, Daz will try to automatically fit the hair to the selected figure, which is a drag.
Where are the new runtime links for Daz product at rendo?
if the autofit dialogue window comes up, just cancel it. Same as not having the figure selected.
I don't want to sound pedantic, but strictly speaking autofitting does not lose any morphs. It will lose all the extra bones not present in the target figure, which is particularly an issue with long hair. Shorter hairs, where styling/movements are made via morphs can be autofitted, as the morphs will move over. In general terms autofitting works better for male (ie short hair) than female (often long) hair.
