Thanks for the reply :) Where do I find the serial numbers?

They're in your My Account page of the website, open My Account and click on the serial numbers icon to get a list for all purchased products that have a serial number, you only need one for the main Gen X plug-in as the other bits are expansions for the core plug-in.

  • Thanks for helping me again! :) But I'm afraid I have one more question, how do I find the other two, Gen x for genesis 2 and ?

They are built into the main Gen X plug-in, they simply expand it to cover the genesis 2 & 3 figures rather than being stand-alone, without them Gen 2 & 3 morphs could not be converted. They add the Genesis " & 3 options to the 'Target' selector in Gen X.

And your welcome, without the commmunity here I would have probably given up on DS years ago, so if I can help out I try to, plenty of other have done the same for me.

The Legend with decorative shoulder pads turned off and Neo Ayane chainmail on instead of the leather bodice.

eActually your simple background in the render makes the armour look really great! Edit: Plus what you did with the armour. :)

Thanks again, Kinich! :) I almost regret buying thoose products, I thougth it was easy to use like using the script for skinbuilder 3, but It seams very hard to understand.

Edit: I have figured out a little bit how it works, and I tranferred my personal Lara model for Genesis 3 to genesis 2, but there are differences between my model in  G2 and G3, the morphs isn't tranferred entierly. There are small differences, but I would have hoped that it would look excatly like in both models, that's kind of  the point. I could be that I am doing something wrong.

Given that they are different meshes, with a different number of polygons, it would be near impossible to make the two appear identical without using HD morphs (which GenX can not do). As such the likeness is as good as you are likely to get, regardless of how the transfer is done.

All the same, I personally find GenX to be incredible useful, and I hope when you have used it a bit you can see what an important tool it is to DS users, particularly given there are multiple genesis versions, and it would be very expensive to repurchase the same character/creature morphs each time.

  • I tried it a bit more and it's not so difficult as I thought, ( I feel very stupid blush) and I was sucessfull in tranfering Aiko 4 to Gen3, there was some small differences in hight and she was a bit wider but other than that the likeness was perfect, so I think I will have very much use for GenX after all. I have some characters for genesis 1 and 2 but I always use Gen 3 so now I will have use for thoose also laugh

Sorry to be off topic btw.

As I said you're welcome, I'm no expert with Gen X, used it a bit  some time back with good results (on an old computer and I don't think I have the custom morphs I made anymore) but if I remember correctly you need the base shape dialed in to get the best results, so if you transfer Genesis 1 to Genesis 3 you need a Genesis 1 base shape dialed in on the Genesis 3 figure with your morph dialed in on top of that. If you need tips just ask and somebody somewhere in the forums will probably chip in.

At the end of the day if you are not happy you can always put in for a refund using Daz's 30 day money back guarantee.

  • I tried again with dialing in my new Lara morph for G2 + Genesis 3 base shape and this time it's almost perfect, there's a slight difference in hight and some other small distortions, but I applied a little bit of mesh smooting and that solved most of it. I'm so happy that I can transfer my custom G3 characters to Genesis and Genesis 2, so that I can use the clothes for older generations that don't autofit so well :)   I'm very happy with my purchase now, and I got thoose 3 with a 80% discount with my  cupon laugh

  • My internet has been down for the last couple of days, and aside from checking in on my phone, I didn't see anything I was missing that made me feel like I needed to get connected.

This PA sale started out strong, but has kind of meandered back and forth since then.

  • I love the wishlist on days like these, and Ati and Overdrawn's plugin. I can go shopping in my runtime instead by hitting the "Show only owned" button. Then I feel rich! laugh

That is a brilliant way to visually browse your content library, Llynara and rediscover lost things. I wish I had thought of it, but I know I'll be using it going forward.

Don't feel bad, it's not exactly easy. I do have a tutorial in my signature with a few tips you may not have thought of. People say they find it helpful, and I did it for ME so I wouldn't have to  keep relearning it every time I stop using it for awhile LOL!

Thanks, Donovan. Ever since Ati and Overdrawn added that feature, I find it a much easier way to see what I own. I wish Daz would implement that, but the browser plug-in works just fine so I'm happy.

  • Sorry, which plugins are we talking about ?  have th eone that shows real percentages and stats in the shop and cart...

  • LlynaraLlynara Posts: 4,772

Yes, that's the one. There's an option you can check at the top of every page called "Show owned." It'll show only what you own and hide everything else, essentially making the store pages into your product library. I love that feature. I've been using it a lot in this PA sale. Helps me see how much I've already got from that vendor. In the category sales, it gives me an idea of whether I already have something similar to what's oh sale.

    Ok, thanks !

Speaking of Ron / Deviney :

    - He didn't get an entry in the list of Fastgrabs, that's not nice for him lol

    - I already own Smoke 1 and 2 and some other stuff, gonna grab some more ; you guys think Ron's Detail Smoke brings much more into the fold ?

...ah bugger, was hoping the halfway ketchup sale would have also included PA stores as well, not just the new releases.  Missed out on a couple when I was dealing with RL matters.

I dunno, not being in the catagory means you don't lose money with the insane discounts, LOL

We've been over this before... If you've made your original costs to produce the content back, and I wouldn't buy the product at any price but the insanely discounted one, you're not actually LOSING money when I buy something of yours I wouldn't *ever* pay full price for, anyway. You're making money, just not as much as you would have liked. If you keep the price high and never discount it and therefore I never buy it... THEN you are losing money.

    ;)

Exactly right. The seller decides the price, the buyer decides the value.

Just wait a little while; the Deviney brush sets are one of the more common appearances on the normal Fastgrab page.

Maybe you misunderstand : hi sstuff is on sale, he appears on the page with all the stuff, but his name isn't linked in the list of artists.

It's what I do when I REALLY want to buy something but know I shouldn't spend anymore so soon. lol It's fun to see all your items like that. I'm ashamed to say I've come across a few things that way that I'm like "wait, I don't remember buying that". lol Thankfully they where freebie items that I had just thrown in the cart and didn't think about after checkout. But it's cool finding stuff you didn't know you had. Then it's a brand new thing to play with without spending a penny. haha

  • My favorite is when you search the store, find something you want to buy and you see the little cloud in the corner.

    You already own it! laugh

  • Aave Nainen's store is one of the MegaFast grab stores that is supposed to have 65% off (or 75% with Debut or Still New release) but is only getting 40% off.

And now : do I get one item I sorta want (but I'm so broke !) to get Ron's Brushes and some stuff for cheap, do I add another thing I don't really want to get both cheaper, or do I wait for end-of-the-month catch-up and hope that stuff I do want will still be in fastgrabs and something better will come out in the meantime ?

Kill me yet (or make me rich) !

Yep. And getting 58% instead of 75% with a qualifying item.
I really want to get Cool Climate before it disappears from the store!

  • The problem I find with fitting V4 hairs to later generations is that the morphs and controls disappear. I still bought about $13 stuff total from this sale... but... like the rest of you, I own nearly everything for V4 and M4 after the last two years of sales.

I find that the older hair models rely a lot on their textures to make them appear to have more dimension.  It's hit or miss on them as to which ones look really good retrofitted to newer models, and which ones just don't look right.  My favorite of the older hair is probably the Radiant Jaguar.  Being a long, straight hair, it seems to work pretty well.  I do like the Spanish Updo as well...although it does have some odd "strands" of hair that seem more like stuck on wires than hair.  You just have to clean those off in post.
