Thank you! I wish I'd gotten the eyes a bit better, they look kinda dead. All my fiddling with glossy and reflections and such didn't bring good results, though. Will try to convert them to PBR next time, maybe.
@tsroemi: Do you mean there's not enough details of the eyes rendered? That might be because of the lighting (HDRI). Maybe if you place some extra front lights onto the eyes, that might help.
Also maybe you use a bloom filter setting, or the eyes are at the rim of the focus area in a Depth of Field setting, which would also mean you loose details. You could also try using some genesis 8 female eye material (just double click), as those are usually of better quality.

Do you mean I can just use G8 eye materials on G2 as is, without any kind of conversion/adaption? If so, that''d be great, I didn't know that!

@tsroemi: Yes, I have done it very often. But don't get me wrong - you CAN make a g2 eye look awesome, but that involves some extra work!

I have a scene set in a restaurant I'm trying to build up, with around 50 figures all sitting at the same banquet table and was wondering how I has going to reduce the load on the GPU. I've instanced tables, chairs, napkins, plates & cutlery. The carpet uses one of the Nvidia MDL procedural shader (texture free) supplied with DS, but I was wondering how to do that many people without resorting to layered rendering of 6 to 8 people at a time - which could well work. Making the distant characters low res textures or parts of them texture free was something I'd not considered. I was thinking of maybe making the men all use the same texture and the women use another single one except for a few different face make-ups shared between them.
Thus far with the main character (no optimisation as closeups will be used) and the tables and restaurant itself I'm using 4GB VRAM from the 12Gb on the RTX3060. I'm going to have to think about the number of facets in each character. Maybe use G8; At base resolution G8 has the fewest facets (apart from M1/V1 even including M1/V1/M2/V2- which I don't have), and if the textures are optimised, it could be as good as I can get. I'm not keen on using DoF, I wear glasses and every time I take them off, my personal DoF is 4 to 8" from my nose, which I really don't like it. I dislike producing images that are not all in focus, even when sometimes it may be better artistically.

@mding I have been enjoying yours and everyone's renders. Genesis 2 is a fun group of characters and I love their clothing.
I want to thank you especially for the reference to LUNA3D's shaders. I had wished listed that Blooms 3 and today it showed up on sale along with the other two. After scanning the rest of that store I just the three shaders and a texture pack for a pair of jeans by Sue Yee.

Yes, it was the lazy thing to do, you got me there. I tried the HDRI with the shark, but it was too dark to make an image I was happy with. The swimming pose is a significant adaptation of this one from the set I released earlier:
In fact, the adaptation is such that I don't think any upper body bone was left in the same pose, it was just an OK starting point.

I've had a bit of an outlet spending spree in the last few months. May have got close to $50 of spending and haven't used everything yet. So, after a desperately unproductive day at work, I needed to do something creative. Thinking that G2 Alessa needed some attention, and the ranger outfit looked perfect for a KA mega landscape, I knocked up the image below. I know it's not wildly inventive, but I could use a dragon, wizards tower, an elf and a lonely landscape with standing stones. Felt right as it went together.
