    @richardandtracy: Many thanks, I just wanted to start searching at rendo... I think this artist has a great feeling for color palettes (I am a bit envious).

    I'm sure the answer is "no", but is there any chance of seeing new content (characters, hair, skin tone, morphs, clothing, etc) for G2? I started using DAZ when G2 was current and a lot of my most popular characters are G2 based. I tried to upgrade them to G3 or G8 but my followers still prefer the older G2 look. So I'm still interested in that older stuff. Same for G3.

    @Drogo Nazhur: I haven't watched it yet:

    Maybe you could create your own characters? If you use the Merchant Resource packages you can buy at Daz, your are not allowed to give away your characters as freebies, you have to sell them, but as long as you only use them for yourself, that might be a way to get you completely new characters.

    EDIT: Of course this is a pre - Iray - tutorial.

    Concerning G2:

    I'm sure you're aware, but just in case you're not, 'Old Miner' at Rendo issues all their clothing freebies in G2/G3&G8 versions, with the most recent in February. You may find something useful in their work. Don't think I've seen many new characters for G2. There is a Bone Minion for G2 that converts poses from V4 thru G9 (except G1) to G2 to expand the range of poses available. Must admit I've never done a freebie pose transfer script to G2 myself, just G2 to other generations. I think It may be useful. Using fit suit techniques you should be able to get other textures on G2, and autofit clones can allow new clothes to be used (with sometimes limited success).

    Concerning G3:

    Do see occasional new pose sets at Rendo, and I've done a G3 underwater set myself (last December) which is at Rendo. As for clothes... Almost all G8 clothes work properly on G3 if the base character is set to Genesis 3 instead of Genesis 8, making G3 & G8 effectively different versions of the same figure. And it's rare for G8 mat files not to work on G3 in my experience.

    Hope there's a little that is of use to you in the waffle.

    Regards,

    Richard

    Took a trip down memory lane.  I have so many Genesis 2 figures I should really take them out to play a bit more.

    @IceDragonArt: Wow, nice!! I love the postwork you did, very impressive!

    @IceDragonArt, I love the image, but am a bit saddened by it, in a way. It shows your brilliant skills in post work, but leaves me thinking 'As I'm so useless at post work, could I do that all in DS?' The anwer is 'I'm sure someone can, just not me.', hence feeling a bit saddened at all the improvement I need to make.

    Regards,

    Richard

    I wanted to try AI in order to make my last render look more realistic. From different AI models Firefly gave me with GPT1.5 this outcome (the best imo) with the prompt "more realistic" - there were quite some changes - face, hair, leaves, chair so for comics that might be a problem, but only as single image not bad - what would be your impression, would you use it as render enhancer?

    Thank you!  I spent a year learning Daz to the best of my ability before I started with the post work.  I didn't want to be dependent on postwork without having the fundamentals down in Daz.  I am happy with my work flow now, but I've spend a long time finding the balance that works best for me.   I could do more in daz as far as special effects, backgrounds etc. but for me, its faster the way I work now and tends to be closer to the vision I have in my head when I do it like this.  But, I do render a lot of backgrounds etc. to use in my art, the background in this one is one I rendered and added.  It allows me a lot of freedom in putting things together and still using daz for the majority of the work.
