The portion of the sale that is 40% off, 50% with a new release does not appear to be working.  I tried while logged in and when logged out.  The loyalty discount is applying the additional 10% is not.

Yeah, blaming this on cloudflare seems a little odd to me.  If I see the correct prices when not logged in, the information would seem to have gotten to the caches - I admit, I've never worked with cloudflare, so it's definite I don't understand exactly how the cloudflare caching works for a dynamic page like Daz and the cart.  From the outside, I suspect the problem is in the user logins somewhere.  It's not geographical - I tried using a VPN to bounce all over the place.

I suppose I should be just as glad.  I'd spend too much money if the countdown sale items had been working for me for the past three or four days.  They haven't, and I've already spent too much this year.  Just frustrating.

For what it matters, I'm on the west coast of the US, but I also tested from five different countries in four different continents via a VPN as well as several locations coast to coast within the US.  I do not habitually use a VPN, so I only started using it while trying to get the right price a couple days ago and seeing it blamed on cloudflare.  Like most other people for whom it doesn't work, I see the 2.99 in my cart, see the price drop when I add a new item - but as soon as I log in, the price on countdown sale item goes up to 9.95.

I also am not seeing a price drop on the recent best sellers for a new item in the cart.  16.78 is not 50% of 39.99.

I'll check again tonight to see if I can waste more money, otherwise, I got some nice stuff earlier this month.

I don't think Daz is blamng Cloudflare, though it did seem a reasonable thought given the different experiences people are having. However, as you say, if it works when not logged in and not when logged in that does sound more complex.

  • Bitten by the failing $2.99 sale today. Happened earlier in the going but I sorteded it with the usual rigmarole of clearing cache, logging out etc. Not today. Off to a different city to visit relatives. Maybe that will help. Sneak up on it from behind.  If not then my runtime is the poorer but my wallet the better off.

  • Earlier today I checked to see if the $2.99 items were pricing right but found that $2.99 came up when I only had those type in my cart and went up to $9.95 when I added a debut new release.  Just now I went to add 5 of them into my cart alone to purchase what I could but now they all go into my cart at $9.95 instead of $2.99.  And the "deal" hasn't worked correctly for me since the first days of the sale.  Just FYI...   With that said...  I have gotten some really nice prices on things I wanted this week...  :)

Just tried the 2.99 sale again.   Up to five items went in at 2.99.  After putting in one more, they all jumped to 9.95.  Put in a new release and nothing, not even the loyalty discount anymore.  They are 9.95, even if I reduce back down to five items.   I was able to use the sale on 12/22 and 12/23, but not the three days since then.  PC+, 30%, Windows, using both Chrome on desktop and Silk on my Fire tablet, located in Arizona, if any of that helps.   Lovely sales on other stuff yesterday!

Here we are again. Lots of stuff on sale, none of it working in the cart. So far, I have 2 items that I couldn't get on sale earlier in the week, because of the errors, and today, once again, they are $9.95, whether a new release is in the cart with them or not. I really don't intend to buy everything at the high price and then request a credit for them - it should work. It's been a week, and every day, it's been broken. I've tried on multiple machines from multiple locations - and my last purchase was 12/24, so it should be ready today.

Once again the $2.99 items work in the cart UNTIL I add a new item. The NEW item makes the $2.99 items jump to $9.95. This is how it has worked for me every day except two when it magically worked. I WANT to buy a new item so the other items get the extra 20% off but the software won't let me.

I have to confess that the offers look so complicated that I feel it's pure guesswork what price many items are meant to be, let alone what they are actually going to be. So I can fully understand why the wretched cart system is confused. There is a saying in mechanical engineering: KISS. Stands for 'Keep It Simple, Stupid'. It applies everywhere. It is a good principal to start applying to DAZ offers too.

    Richard

Yes, I agree. Even with Daz Deals percentages displayed in the cart, It is difficult to know whether the price is correct. The sales terms and stacking rules are too convoluted, with 10% off for this and 25% off for that and 30% off for PC+ and loyalty discount and top seller discount and featured artist discount and... but not on new or PC+, even though they are shown in the list of sale items... but not Today Only... and typos and contradictions... It is not that I can't multiply the percentages, it is that I can't even figure out what percentages are SUPPOSED to apply. With all the reported sale errors, I can't trust the cart to give me a correct price. I've lost confidence in being treated fairly at the Daz store, and that is a sad sad thing.

The artists whose catalogs are 65% off - the "Show All Artists Together" link comes up with 0 items.  I know I spend a lot at DAZ, but I don't think I own all 23558 items, and when I remove the "Hide Items I Own" check mark, I still don't see anything.  (Is it sad that my first thought was, "OMG!  I didn't realize just how much I spend here!" and only then, "No, even I haven't bought *this* many items from a subset of artists"  ?)

    https://www.daz3d.com/xmas-artist-items#filter_vendor=vyktohria^tentman^Td3d^Scuffles3d^3djoji^Hypertaf^Giko^Onnel^TangoAlpha^EmmaAndJordi^Jepe^Oskarsson^FirstBastion^Sickleyield^Dreamlight^Mada^Mely3D^Cherubit^Muscleman^Aave%20Nainen^Fisty%20&%20Darc^Fuseling^sugatak^MikeD^Code%2066^FenixPhoenix^Wee%20Dangerous%20John^DisparateDreamer^AprilYSH^RiverSoft%20Art^Divamakeup^Lyoness^PixelTizzyFit^Mattymanx^ForbiddenWhispers^InaneGlory^Pixeluna^Orestes%20Graphics^Darwins%20Mishap(s)^FeralFey^David%20Brinnen^Arryn&filtered=1

BTW:  I think Cloudflare does have issues - sometimes a store link will redirect me back to the front page then go to the product on the second try, which makes me think one of their servers is being a dork - but this is a different issue.

I can't get the $2.99 sale to work. I bought one thing from that section the other day, I think; does that exclude me from ever choosing anything again? I had a bunch of them in my cart, plus a debut release. All came up $9.95. Cleared my cart because I saw "Offer usable once per customer," but now I'm wondering whether it should work or not. Is it one use forever, even if you took only an item or two a different day? Or is it one use per day?

It should work once a day but its not working that way for a lot of people, its been going on for days without any resolution and a lot of excuses, I think its destroying a lot of confidance in Daz as a store but no one really seems to mind.

I lost confidance in being treated fairly a while ago and its saving me money my PC membership expires next month and I won't be renewing, I'm done, I have enough content to take me well into the future. If Daz continue to run sales like this and treat their customer like this they won't last much longer and if Rendo have any sense they will use this opportunity to bury them.

Yeah, it is sort of personal. As long as I'm not logged in, the $2.99 items show as $2.99 in my cart. As soon as log in, the site software says: 'No. not for you, you pay over triple the price.'

I already lost confidence and trust with Daz when they overcharged me and locked my account (because I was fixing their incompetence with my bank) angry. I am only staying here because I like 3D, and in consolation for all the money I invested in buying stuff. These glitches are just minor symptoms.

so.. is boxing day an "official holiday"? if yes - which means that for the 3rd consecutive day my ticket is still open, i'm going to throw myself under the next bus. luckily, there aren't any in our village, but the intent is there. i know, there's always another sale - but stonemason at 79%? hardly! crying

because... support tickets aren't dealt with during official holidays i.e. the 25th - and the 24th they must have been soo xtra busy.
result: i still can't redeem my GC after making a typo in the mail addy the 24th... and i'm going mad.
in a way it's even good that i messed up the 24th since today's sale 70% stonemason is awesome, with loyalty to boot.. all those items i've been waiting for for YEARS. way better than my cart on the 24th. IF SOMEONE DEALS WITH THE ISSUE TODAY, that is.

it's mind boggling, i just typed 1 single little letter wrong, and with backlog and holiday, a problem that will take 1 minute to solve takes 3 days. whyyyyyyyyyy gawd whyyyyyy am i so crappy at typing?

things have been so plain horrible for me in the past weeks (or actually... ALL year!), i really need some positive event happening now.... and missing on the best of the december sale - after i killed my budget to buy a GC - def isn't merry.

I don't wish the Daz store to go out of business at all. I don't believe they intend to cheat anyone. But perception is sometimes more influential than reality. It seems that a lot of forum posters are feeling cheated by sales that don't work. When people would rather dump a cart than complete a purchase because of a store that doesn't work reliably, that is troubling. When I hesitate to buy a gift card, because I wonder about the longevity of a store that works this way, that is troubling. When I am left with an uneasy feeling about whether the price was correct after a purchase, instead being left with a feeling of excitement over a new Christmas toy, that is troubling.

The problem seems to be that the add-on isn't turning on the filters; notice there is a list of 27 artists in the filter list, but none are selected.

I thought I'd try another angle, based on one of the other posters here, and load the items I want in while logged out. Yup, got $2.99 prices! Until I started to check out, and had to log in to complete my purchase - then they all scooted rigth back up to $9.95 each!

COME ON, DAZ! How many YEARS have you had to get this right, and it still breaks every time? I'm not going to create a second account just to find out if my account is the variable that causes your website to break on the sale - it's not your customers' job to beta test your sales; it should be enough that we're paying to make the site possible.

    Cris,

Was the issue with PA stores not receiving the extra 10% when adding a new release to the cart reported)?  Screenshots were provided and at least one other user verified they are experiencing the same issue.

Thanks, Cris. The calculator is handy. I know how to multiply the percentages, but some of the sales are so convoluted that it is difficult to figure out what percentages apply to what product. And when it doesn't work out the way you think it should, you don't know whether the printed sale terms have typos, the sale is broken, or you didn't understand the terms of sale. It's no fun the way the store works now (or doesn't work).

Am I the only one for whom the store seems to be running in molasses today?  It's literally taking minutes from when I click buy to when the items actually go in the cart, both on Firefox and on Chrome.

  • Nope have the same thing for me in Chrome

Amen to that.  Add in the fact that lately the store has taken to switching the advertised terms in the middle of the day without notice... usually to correct sloppy errors of their own making... and I often find myself purging carts halfway through shopping because the numbers are so far off from what the calculator app says that they should be.

I was able to reach my cart and to check out but I confirm it takes a while. It doesn't seem to be a browser issue. It gappens with Chrome and firefix (not tried others).
