I'm in Texas using Chrome browser, Linux Mint
With new releases in my cart, the 2.99 item price was 9.95. REMOVED all of the new releases from my cart, and the price dropped down to $2.99.
Does anybody know if today's NIGHT-B4 coupon is single or muliple use?
I agree...most likely an error in the system.
Need to hire someone who can find the glitch...before he retired my husband used to fix glitches like this all the time. I may get a bit a frustrated not being able to buy the most recent shiny I want, but this type of error costs Daz money...in the long run I won't care whether I or not I have the item but the money could be important to Daz. Just looking at my own spending before this happened I had spent over $300 in the last few days. Since it happened I've only spent $20.
I have money sitting there waiting to spend as I haven't bought much in a long time...who loses in this scenario?
I'm using 10 also and Chrome and it's not working.
5 items @ 2.99 worked today BUT add ANYTHING else and the prices jump up. So no, there was no buy 2 new things [any 2 new things] and as many as you from the 2.99 group. If bought 2 new things and apply coupon - this drops the prices yes BUT not from 2.99 [most of those were about $10] and loyalty discounts only applied to the new items.
So end result bought no new things.
Really wanted something in the sale group so bought 5 items @ 2.99
Firefox on W10
Made a second cart after using it once and it shows the discount, and no "coupon invalid" warnings, but I did not check out.
What about a 90% off DO sale to offset all our pain and suffering from these daily glitches? A $25 off purchase would also be a good alternative. It's the holidays!
I'm also dealing with the "add anything other than the 2.99 items and they revert to full price."
But I'm also dealing with other offers simply not working, or not working correctly. For example, one item on the "40% off or 50% off if you buy a new release" isn't showing any of those discounts. It's just showing my loyalty discount.
Then there are some others that I honestly can't even figure out how it's calculating the price, but it's not as low as it's supposed to be.
Today's just an absolute disaster apparently.
My 2.99 items are $8.95.
I also attached the pic so it is easier to see. I have 2 new items in the cart. So from what I am reading it sounds like I will have to purchase them separately unless they fix this. This also means that I will have to buy an extra new item to get the discount on those items unless the additional discount is not working at all.
All the money Daz and PA's aren't getting.... ouch...
Easier said than done when you don't know how to reproduce the glitch.
Windows 10 chrome and Firefox and Safari on iPad. No 2.99 prices in card. With or without new items.
Except.. These calculations and discounts are applied serverside, not client side, so our own browser or OS has no influence. Especially not if the shopping cart you made today is different from the shoppingcart you made yesterday, and the page does perfectly show the correct products (albeit, with the wrong price..)
As was mentioned yesterday (or the day before), it seems to be some kind of Cloudflare problem, and Cloudflare somehow directs people to different versions of the store or scripts on the server. Or even, to different servers entirely. How or why? Beats me, webhosting isn't exactly my specialty, especially not with all those fluid cloudserver technologies of today. I'm an ex-website developer (used to code serverside scripts for online stores), and cloudservices squeezed themselves neatly between the server and the client. Supposedly without interfering between clientside and serverside. But I occasionally (like in the case of the Daz store at the moment) do question whether the cloudservice is actually doing exactly what it's supposed to do, or whether it maybe sometimes doesn't propagate script updates correctly between instances, or has old instances opened next to new instances. This randomness in whos shopping is affected and whos shopping works fine does strongly suggest it has to do with the cloudservice.
Could be a lot of things. But not location. I was hoping it would work on specific browsers.
It doesn't work for me either though it worked yesterday. Perhaps because I had less than five $2.99 items in the cart ?. Today even less than 5 such items cost $9.95 each. Perhaps a fix laater and a $2.99 items catchup sale?
Florida, Windows 10 Chrome. Like I said though, it has worked every day except today, so not a browser problem as others have had the problem and not had the problem using the same system.
STILL NOT WORKING. Prices start and stay at 9.95, with or without a new release and under the number of items required without a new release. Tested this every which way.
FWIW, it just worked for me (the first time there's been stuff in the $2.99 category I wanted). Five 2.99 items, and a couple of Select Artist items, all with the proper discounts including loyalty... I think.
In the UK here, using Firefox and Win7.
BTW, hasn't anyone noticed the Christmas Countdown is apparently really counting down to Boxing Day...?
I have not been buying any of the $2.99 products. As mentioned before, these are the essentially the same products that were offered at $1.99 as PC+ for a Day during the PC+ sale, and I'd already passed on them. (Nothing against the products, per se, just a matter of the more one already owns, the more selective one gets.)
So I have not taken advantage of the offer before today.
With five $2.99 items in the cart, the price was $2.99 each. I added one New Release and the price dropped on those to $2.09/$2.10 each. With a second NR in the cart and adding the NIGHT-B4 code to the cart, those items dropped to $1.88/$1.89 each. I also added products from both top sellers categories and the "60% OFF Select Items" at the bottom of the page, and got the expected discounts.
In short, everything is working as advertised for me.
My loyalty discount is 30%. I use Firefox on a Win7Pro x64 computer. I'm located in Eugene, Oregon. I'm also a forum Community Volunteer. (I mention that because some PAs and Mods have weighed in, and I believe the offer worked for all of them, as well. Not sure if the CV/PA/Mod accounts affect anything, but figured it's a good idea to mention.)
Tomorrow is a "Platinum" Christmas! Mega flash sales for Platinum Club items perhaps? since the $2.99 is not working well...
It could be location if people are redirected to specific server instances based on location and some of those instances had a problem. I've seen that happen for one of my clients a few years ago.
It's not a 24-hour thing for me. I placed an order yesterday at 4:30 p.m. my time, but my items are still 8.95 even with two new releases. I still want the other items in my cart, so I will just dump the 2.99 items that aren't working.
Oh, well. Merry Christmas, everyone!!!!!
The $2.99 items are still not working. I bought the other items I wanted and am giving up for now. Merry Christmas Eve here!
well, the 10% deal can be used more than once...but it isn;t worth 10% off if you have to buy 2 new items to use it. I've exhausted my low cost PC+ items ... ovioulsy 10% off is good if you're going to buy a couple new items that you want and were going to pay more anyway ... I got a GC for 28% off ... sort of. Bought a couple new PC+ items that will go up in prioce tomorrow.
well my theory was incorrect - it's been a full 24 hours since I bought the last $2.99 items, and the new ones are STILL not going in at $2.99 for me. Doesn't matter if I have a new item or not in the cart, and it doesn't matter how many or how little I put in - the $2.99 items are $9.95 in my cart. Very annoying.
I'm in shock. Everything worked fine for me. I had 2 new releases in cart with the code and the $2.99 items were $1.88. I'm in California and everything worked on both iOS and Firefox for Mac. I have not seen the browser make any difference though. Yesterday any new item added to the cart made the $2.99 items go up to $9.95 but today everything worked fine...
Did some people get a banner? NIGHT-B4 Would that make a difference? I didn't get one. Haven't been online so if it was just a flash code I missed it. I'm wondering if it perhaps messed things up. I just dumped the cart.
DAZ OWES us a makeup sale, with a CODE that works. None of this automatic-will-do-it-but-it-varies nonsense.
NIGHT-B4 is advertised on the main sale page. It says:
Buy 2 or more New Releases to get an EXTRA 10% OFF* your order
use coupon code: NIGHT-B4
* New Release must be priced over $1. Items must be in cart simultaneously for discount to apply.
Cannot be used to purchase an item previousy owned at a lower price.
Instead of waiting for a fix or a makeup sale i already spent every bit of money yesterday on cheapest of all cheap g8 clothing items i could find. If they do create a make up sale later and it works which will be nice for everyone but. boy will i feel unlucky.
That wouldn't explain why items were $2.99 in my cart yesterday UNTIL I added a new item. By adding any new item, the price went UP to $9.95. Wouldn't that be some kind of programming error where things work the exact opposite as they should?
