Ready for this? Shortly after my last post I stood up carefully, took about 4 steps and fell straight down on my tailbone. I didn't slip or trip, just went straight down onto my hardwood living room floor. I panicked for a while because I have a long history of back trouble including surgery for 2 ruptured discs. Then I slowly got up on my feet and started taking inventory.
Back pain? Check, but not above my usual tolerable level.
Muscle spasms? Oh, yeah...plenty. All the way across the right side of my mid back all the way around to my abdomen. But nothing truly scream-worthy.
Can I walk? Yes, with the pain actually diminishing a bit while walking. OK good as this kinda crap gets really. Coulda been much worse.
So I hobble out to have a little dinner and pick up some products to help.
I'm sitting here now with an Icy Hot patch on my back (helping) with a gel pad cooling in the freezer. I added a Diazepam (prescription for my occasional muscle spasms) to my regular meds and things seem to be easing off a bit. And how are you?
I try not to use Diazepam very often, as that is one of those meds that have diminishing returns on effectiveness if overused.
One last complaint. Why do the stores always put the products made to help with back pain on the freaking bottom shelf?! >:-(
@Jade:
Yeah, I get the vertigo thing myself from time to time. Mine is an inner-ear thing because of sinus trouble, but the sinus meds that work make me feel worse than the vertigo so I just deal. The worst flare-ups for mine is when I lack the ability to orient myself to my surroundings; I never sleep in a completely darkened room, for example.
I've taken a few spills myself from time to time. It's like being drunk minus the fun.
You've never experienced life fully until you have to hold tightly to the floor (or the chair or the bed) you're on to keep from falling off. It truly feels like gravity has just stopped working right.
Snake Farm!

Oh noes, hopes that is getting better by now
'Tis, TY.
...is that using the atmospheric/volumetric cameras?
Yes it is
...so a question, how did they get that nice blue sky with the depth haze in the pic below from the tutorial? My skies tend to wash out and look rather pale. Supposedly that is done with just the Fog Camera.
no clue how he got that, I suspect that UE2 lighting is involved in some way, as it is mentioned in the documentation.
You have an income whether you think it's good or not as well as highly marketable skills. In two months when my UC runs out (and there is no extension because of the sequester), if I don't get hired somewhere by then with my lousy skillset, I'm on the streets living out of a shopping trolley and all my dreams are history.

Wow, KK! That is truly beautiful!
...thank you. Held on to it to see if it would fit the latest PC challenge theme but it doesn't, so heck with it, time to share.
And if we are going to post theme songs for ourselves then I can not pick just one but I do have a Few... Sort of a theme in them..
These are all songs that were/are Anthems of my life. At one time each one was special to me, they all still are. I'm taken back to a place in my life every time I hear one of these. I've had a very odd journey on this plane of existence we call life. Good Boy, Bad Boy, Lover Boy, Loved Boy, Caring Person, Selfish Person, Sober Person, Never Sober Person, Sad boy, Happy boy, and this is just a few that touch me. This list could grow much more. But for now this will do...
Non-Complaint. Soooo close to texturing and setting up shaders on my flashlight prop! I LOVE texturing! UV mapping is almost done... has taken over 6 hrs XD But its nice Linea and neat, so I'm pretty happy with it :)

Weather turned bad on the way home - but rain is still novel and was nice to be in the sun most of the time today. Bit soggy now :)
Caught up, feel icky about having a good day out in the sun now :(
Weather this morning here is dark, with widely scattered light predicted for dawn.
That's well worth waiting for, can almost smell flowers, feel sun :)
Sorry about your dog
