Here's another I did of Josie 8.

On this one I made her a little shorter, and adjusted her chin, jaw, and cheeks a little.
They should hire you to do the promos. To me, these look better than several of the promo images for the character, imo (no offense to whoever did the promo images for Josie 8).
Oh I love the realism this adds to your great leotard! Thank you, Fisty!
Because the morph was done by Thorne and all Thorne's girls have a similar "style".
Laurie
I think she is just loverly!
You know, I've always thought there was something off with all the genesis teen characters, especially the female teens, and I finally think I've figure out why. These genesis teens are not based off Real teens, but teens we see on TV shows. The teen actors are usually portrayed by much older actors, so our presception of a teen is a little off. I like her figure, but the head is .... way too stylized. Most of the clothes will be useful, So I'm pretty torn, especially since its a good deal right now. I rather have a boy.
Personally, I don't think she looks too mature at all. She's actually kind of cute. The problem I've had with the past "teen" characters was that they looked way too young to be teens. Some of them were called "teens" but looked more like about nine-year-old 4th graders. They were cute, but they didn't look like teenagers. Granted, the eyelashes are a bit longer than natural, but I wouldn't put it past teenage girls to be using false eyelashes, so it could be believable. The harsher makeup in some of the promo pictures probably isn't used much by teenage girls, but those don't have to be used. I've got her in my Wish List, still debating with myself whether or not to buy her. If you look at real teenagers, depending on their age (15, 16, 17, whatever), they don't usually look like little kids. Teens in later high school are starting to look like young adults.
I'll decide in a few days, after I get paid, whether or not to buy her.
That is why we make your own textures from scratch or kit bash a already made texture and in the process you get rid of all the body hair because painted on body hair is just tacky looking up close.
G3F"I don't care if you think you are an adult you take my false eyelashes off, put them back where you got them and wash your face that's too much make up.
G8Teen Josie " Awww jeez I'm 13 that's almost an adult it's not fair .....all the other girls are wearing make up"
(oh an it's my own toony morphs added in here)
I was a teen once, now I’m 24 going in 25 in October and i can say that she looks like someone I would see in high school
I love her, she's a doll
CUTE!! What skin texture is that?
After careful consideration, I've decided to wait for Genesis 9. I don't like any of the G8 characters, male or female. I did receive the orange banner offering an extra 20% off the Pro bundle, but I'll pass.Nothing I've seen in G8 has offered me reason to ditch the hundreds of other characters in my runtime, though it would be useful for people startin right now in 3D art.
Fisty,
Thank you for sharing the additional normal mats! I have the leotard, and will try out the new wrinkles.
Thanks,

Thank you. :)
Aw,thanks. I wanted to show her with an open mouth so people could also see the teeth. I like that they are not square chiclets. To me they look very natural. For the lips, there were quite a few severe vertical lines so I postworked to soften them slightly. Easy to do.
I am baffled why G8 characters would look more or less waxy than say the G3 ones, since they use exactly the same materials as the Genesis 3 series, and under the same light and render settings should render the skin identically. Nothing in the differences between G3 and G8 would alter how the skin looks at all.
I think Josie 8 (she's cute!) does look like a teen though her lips and the chin seem to be a bit too big. I didn't like the childlike looks of earlier Josies - e.g. Josie 7 looks like an 8 years old - so TJ8 imo is the first 'real' teenager. The eyelashes are what makes me hesitate - is it possible to replace them with V8 or G8F Base lashes?
A few tweaks to her jaw, chin and cheeks.

Yeah, her cheeks and jaw look too gaunt. Don't care for the tight lines around her mouth either.
Genesis 8 materials and characters are essentially Genesis 3 characters and materials. This one even more so than others since they didn't brother with brows. So any waxiness is not any different than gen 3.
Waxiness would come from too high SSS. Try lowering the Translucency Weight if there's no preset for it.
...when G2 and G3 came out, retro fit clones were released shortly afterwards, usually within days.
...apologies, but as someone else mentioned, she does look like a slightly older actress portraying a teenager. Yes, there are some teens who do look more "mature" than their peers (both genders), there were a couple in the high school I attended way back in the 60s/70s, but they were more the exception than the rule.
Not quite that fast for the retrofit to earllier generations... the G3F to G2F one came out on August 14 2015 whereas the base G3F came out on June 23, while the G3M to G2M back fit came on December 22, versus the base figure release on November 17. That said, in this case I suspect the change from the T to A pose is the real issue and probably complicates things enough that it would require some kind of script for a fully automated transfer... AFAIK, scripting isn't a strength of most of the PAs who've made autofit clones in the past, so it will probably take a team to make one.
She does look like a teenager to me, well, at least in my renders
They may have been more numerous than we remember, especially if you had only a small group of friends. I vividly remember one girl that this version of Josie could easily pass for with some minute tweaks, and vaguely remember others.
...I was one of the "social butterflies" in our HS and was involved in quite a number of extracurricular organisations and activities from academic to artistic, leisure based ones. Didn't see many girls who looked like Josie 8.
Of course this was over 40 years ago in a Midwest rustbelt town, not Southern California, the Florida Coast, or New York City. Not saying there were no attractive teens in my school, just not ones who looked like they stepped straight out of the cinema/television screen or off the fashion runway.
