dueling neighbors1 is blasting pink floyd the wall, other neighbor blasting rap in spanish

who will win the epic struggle?  both have strong base

    think i'm the loser.

Spanish rap would be interesting :)

Define "interesting".  It is my opinion that the only thing worse than rap is rap in a foreign language.  indecision

    Dana

Well, the English language is interesting and so can lend interest to other topics. For example, while there are a lot of "silent" characters (P in Psychology, for example) "rap" when combined with "music" is the only known occurance of a silent AND invisible "C".

    Cheers,

keeping my feet elevated for the last 14 days really helped the feet swelling go down. smiley can feel my ankle bones and arthritie bumps.

a lil worried where the foot stuff went, has to have gone back into my blood stream - icky yuck

It should have gone down the toilet.  Doctor told mom to elevate feet.  Makes you pee more, but it's the only way to get rid of water in the legs and feet.  Water does not flow uphill.

i didnt always have my own office.

when i was in high school they gave 11th and 12 graders an option to do half the day in high school, half the day in trade school.

they called it B.O.C.E.S.  i went for programming, was just COBOL AMD RPG, leetle bit of FORTRAN.  those were the keypunch card days.

first job started week after graduation, started as a computer operator, IBM SYS 34.
had the whole computer room to myself. the 34, 2 high impact printers, noisy buggers. a decollator to separate the gren bar paper from the carbon paper.
graduated to the IBM AS/400 surprise

    ah token ring.

Had a  Red Sun later in the afternoon again (got some pics on the phone but again, need ot figure how to upload them).

Erickson air cranes are common here but haven't seen an AN 76 fire bombing

..ahh, the CH54 Skycrane as it is called here.

Agh I meant an IL-76.always get the two design bureaus mixed up.

The Russians also have a unique amphibious fan jet powered fire bomber that actually skims a lake to scoop up water.and is quite manouverable (pardon the cheesy music).   Yes, the engines do look something similar to those of the A-10 ground support fighter.

....70 years ago flying boats like the Saunders and Roe Princess were considered highly practical for long distance overseas travel.

The US even built a large bomber seaplane prototype in the 1950s the Martin P-6M..  It was faster than the B-47 and could fly maintain high speed at very low altitude, like to avoid the radar technology of the time,

Whee... celebrate.  That's enough for a tolerable bottle of champagne.  Or a good meal out (for one).  Or one long wanted DAZ item.

Don't really have much to say 'm 'fraid.  Worried about some friends of mine;  hard to tell if they're busy (School started for two of 'em, ,and they also have jobs on top of that) or if they're.... In trouble.  Most of them I've been able to confirm it's just busies, but with all the fires and storms it just keeps nagging at my mind :<

Didn't sleep at all last night. Got maybe five hours or so of sleep during the following day.  Got in bed tonight at 11pm.  It's 3am and I still can't sleep.  Figured I'd get up to draw a little bit. No luck.  Just frustrated af with this piece, can't bring myself to work on much else, and I'm getting a splitting headache from the lack of sleep and am yawning a ton BUT STILL CAN NOT SLEEP.  Sigh.

  • It's frustrating trying to find a OEM replacement battery for a laptop that is no longer supported by the manufacturer.
