Spanish rap would be interesting :)
Send me a big bottle and I'll ship some of our excess your way.
Oops, just noticed that I don't know if it's the front end or back end of summer. Corrected "Memorial" to "Labor". (*blush*)
I'm already over budget for this month and I have 2 and a half weeks to go before my check is deposited, but I made one last trip to the fruit market in the next town to get a half watermelon, a half cantalope, three big ripe peaches, some sweet corn, and an ice cream sundae. New mantra: Must conserve cash, must conserve cash, must conserve cash. That means no DAZ purchases either.

Define "interesting". It is my opinion that the only thing worse than rap is rap in a foreign language.

Your friend was lying.

Dana, you beat me this time.
I like Baker is interesting to hear hip hop in a north Australia language
But I listen to Babymetal as well so...
I would think that would make it more interesting because you could concentrate on the beat and tone and wouldn't be aware of the ridiculous plot and the mastication of the language.
Kind of like opera!
Q: How do you tell when the opera is over?
A: When the fat lady screeches.
Yes is kinda like listening to a modernist poetry redaing reading (imagist poetery?)
Ode To An Apple
This is
A poem
About
A pome.
I'll say no more on the subject because I don't want to insult anyone. There would be no good will that would come out of that.
Dana
Of course we could compare it to Vogon poetry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxPeIiU2kx4
Or Klingon opera. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwhBUSB1iXg
Also, the Russians are quite proud of their poets and poetry. I was curious to see what all the fuss was about, so in my process of learning Russian I delved into learning a couple of poems. I spent quite a lot of effort in learning to fluently read and recite and then to recite from memory two Russian poems. One by Aleksander Pushkin, "Зимний Вечер" (Zeemny Veetcher) "Winter Evening", and the other by Michail Lermontov, "Молитва" (Mo-leet-va) "Prayer". The second one is the poem recited (in fragments) by John Cleese in the movie "A Fish Called Wanda" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6QUFqiJx9k When I finally had it burned into my brain and had practiced the pronuciation diligently I found it quite rythmic and beautiful, and knowing the meaning helps me recite it with meaningful emotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl0-B2l29c8 Who knew that such a gruff language could sound so beautiful? Perhaps that's what makes the poets so impressive.
My favorite word in Russian is "благодатная" (Blog-a-dot-na-ya) "unbelievable". It just growls in your throat and your tongue makes a complete survey of your mouth.
...more upper 90s again here. Suposed to be 102° tomorrow and Teusday. WIldfire smoke is back as well. which messes with my eyes.
...to me, most rap is already in a foreign language called "in your face". Not really enamoured with it as I feel it is too confrntational and much of it is all cuss words, derogatory, and negative statements. I can get just as much "entertainment" listening to longshoremen on the job.
Give me old Mowtown any day.
...my two zł worth.
What is that smell?
remember these guys?
loved mtv unplugged.
...fortunate in a couple ways, not just not being "sprayed" but also skunks are known to carry rabes in some areas of the country.
"rabes"? Is that like "babes"?
Morning. Ear-tingling cold wind kinda incongrous with a big bright blue sky that seems to go forever or at least toward some hidden morning sun :)
get your rab
is like a lettuc-ee brocolli
issa chilly. punpkin soup weather
...no bright blue sky here. More orange to light brown. Even at noon sunlight on the ground had an orange tint more characteristic of early evening before sunset. The smoke from the latest wildfire (caused by a total imbecile who set off fireworks in an area under a red flag fire alert) makes it seem like a one of those days with a thick layer of high clouds. While it has saved us from a 100+ high today (only the low 90s) it also doesn't let the heat dissipate at night so it doesn't cool down as much. At least the smoke is staying aloft thanks to light winds and not coming all the way down to the valley floor which would make conditions unbearable. One more day of this and finally conditions should improve
did yara really do what sersei accused her of?
dunno who i should be feeling sorry for
leaning about the utube adpocalypse. it only effects the monetized videos.
doesnt effect me at all, but i watch my favorite gameplayers i enjoy watching, they getting hit by it, cutting their revenue.
Hoping for the best for our fire season coming up, preparing for the worst 'cos haz all happened before. Having a bit of weather here today, gusting wind from the southern ocean and a few spots of rain and lumps of hail making it to the ground as well :0
What we say here is there is always another advertiser/sponsor, seems to be mostly true :)
