...another day, another trip to move what I could on the bus. Getting really weary of this.  Pretty much everything remaining at the old house needs someone with a vehicle as it is too unwieldy to take on transit.

I am tired of flakes.  Even more so thinking about hiring a moving service just to finally get the bugger out of there and sever the chain to the ball that is holding me back.

    I feel like Sisyphus.

Sisyphus!  Great album from around 1970/1971, by a band named Cold Blood!

  • I too am tired of flakes.  Unfortunately I've encountered way too many of them in my life.  Usually when I'm trying to teach them something. frown

  • Small complaint: It's a shame that the Centuar male Pro bundle isn't in today's sale, I totally would have scraped together the money to get it, if it was the same price as the Female one. sad

Non complain: Daz is saving me money today. yes

Complaint:  Rain!  Memorial (oops) Labor Day weekend!  sad

Non-Complaint:  Yesterday before the rains came I got to the flea market and found a beautiful little (3"x8"x1") antique etched crystal and mirrored-bottom display case for $6 that is perfect for some little translucent semi-precious gems, rocks and gemish type things I want to dig out of storage and display.  Now I need to find a tiny bright light to shine into the case to highlight the colors of the items. yes

'Nother non-complaint:  On the way back from the flea market I stopped at a garage sale and found a pair of black, size 12, Harley-Davidson lace up, & side zipper, motorcycle boots, practically new, for $30, and I know they cost about $200 new.  I wear size 12 and I need new boots for the winter so it was a no brainer!  Yea!  Easy on, easy off, waterproof, arch supports, room for heavy socks.  Happy happy! smiley

I don't know the history of the song "House of the Rising Sun" but when I lived in Washington DC back in the '80s & '90s we had a friend who was a DJ who called himself "Jimmy Jam" (Yeah, I know.  Not a very original moniker.) who claimed he was the current owner of the copyright to that song and got a little money everytime somebody legally played it.  He later relocated to NYC and I haven't heard of him since.  Jimmy was also a poet and had a book of his poems published.  I have a copy of it here somewhere.

No rain for months here think we're looking at a very dry spring unless something flips our way :)
