    I told myself, no spending till I know more about the genesis 4 launch, and I also told myself no Aeon Soul addons since I have a problem with vendors pulling products off the market for no logical reason, but I really want the new Whymsy outfit, aaarrrgghhh!

    I miss the old days when DAZ would have a preview thread for a new figure launch with all the addons for the figure displayed also, it really built up the excitement

    How much?  Hey everyone, Bank of Taozen is open!

    I didn't have anything on my wishlist that was in the M4/V4 sale, but at 85% off I went through it anyway,  Found a few Genesis items, a lot of hair, some DM sets, some props.  PC items are included, by the way,  Got 14 items for $17.54.

    Yeah, I took another swing through there today and did some damage. Lots of pose sets and textures for 30 cents, a few outfits I had wishlisted, a few new things in the 65% off sale. Adds up fast!

    Agreed. They got me today. That Zev0 character for $6.99 is a deal that probably won't come around for a while... Aeon Soul's Twin Tales made sense at the discount price, and I forgot what the third item I threw in was... but it was cheap. 

    Now I'm wondering about the V4 sale. I've been ignoring Reby Sky since I started here... but if the pro bundle is under a buck... I'd buy it. :)

    The V4-M4 sale is going to be a problem. I have 106 items in my cart for 75.00...
    I'm going to have to whittle my cart down.
    Not because of the prices, the prices are great...
    But who has time to download and manually install all that stuff?
     

    Still no reply from anyone from DAZ here about my little sale price glitch.
    I guess, having spent thousands here in the past, I'm not spending enough
    now to be worth answering.

    So we skip 4,5,6,7? It makes more sense for Genesis 8 to be the basis for Victoria 8, etc. The previous way was too confusing.

    Probably because of the whole "G3" for Genesis 3 being mistaken for G3 Generation 3 (as in V3, M3 etc).

    I will be glad if they name it Genesis 8. I keep mixing up generation 4 and Genesis 4 when I'm chatting. People know what I mean, but Genesis 8 will get things aligned where it needs to be. I remember several of us wondering why Genesis wasn't Genesis 5 so it would keep the generations and the figure names the same. That seems like ages ago instead of about 4 years. I came on at the tail end of V4/M4 and right before Genesis was released, I think- I remember the "what?" when we learned one figure was male and female. That didn't last long, did it?!

    ... But my history of what I knew with what was actually true or accurate has a somewhat sketchy success rate.

    Windows 3.11, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10. Did I miss anyone? 

    Just sayin'... it isn't like there isn't some sort of precedent for this in the industry. :D

    And "The Sordid life of a Gold Digger," had me going "OMG NO THEY DIDN'T!" this morning. 

    I mean... I'm not a male feminist or anything... but this is maybe one of the most hilariously politically incorrect promos I've seen anywhere in a long time. Good looking, high maintenance women in skimpy clothes, surrounded by wealth... and court rooms? I guess they included some prospecting gear... so maybe she goes prospecting in her nighties or a club dress with her lawyer? :D

    I noticed it and thought similar. I'm a guy and was irritated. But as it was marketing I shrugged it off, as they seemed to well divorced from reality at times (regardless of industry).

    It would have been better to include men too; anyone who thinks men aren't (or can't be) gold diggers, well... I'm lost for words.

    Doesn't bother me in the least. I have known quite a few that are gold diggers, guys also. It's an actual term, so if the money clip fits....

    I am liking that they are back to offering discounts on the new releases of the day, when you buy more than one. And I've been rewarding that marketing strategy.
