To me it looks like a mix of human and ai working together for modeling and texturing. Mostly an impression from the inconsistent motifs (a human would usually pick a smaller set of looks for skull and crossbones), detail areas (gun barrels have chaotic rivets that a human would probably order if they took time to texture or model), unusual design elements (various pirate and oceanic symbols incorporated in peculiar ways as integrated engravings and doodads), impractical designs (why does a wooden table need so many metal rivets on the ends?) But - the texturing is good and the models have a lot of character, and the set achieves novelty which is exciting and interesting to a degree.
Edit: it might be full ai with something like Trellis.2/Pixal3D. Anyway it's a full model set ready to go, some people have uses for it.
I'm super impressed by the new AnTiNeko set, it looks like some serious care went into that one. I wish I had budget to pick it up!
Today's new arrivals have me thrilled! A new artist! This piece is absolutely stunning. I've always wanted a retro apartment like this; many classic Japanese dramas and anime are set in such scenes. The scene is so rich in detail—it's immediately in my cart!
I'm so glad Stonemason has created another Eastern-themed scene, a courtyard! For me, you can never have too many courtyards! Small, beautiful scenes, composed of multiple sections rather than a large open space, greatly help reduce the rendering burden and are also easy to modify.
It's exquisite. At first glance, the windows made me happy because I thought it was an oriental style, but the overall scene is a Western fantasy style.
Now I am afraid to even express any opinion. I did not want to start an argument over AI. I do wish PAs would indicate if they used it in any shape, form, or manner during their production of the products or the promos.
@AsuCafe, totally agree with you on three of the products, just not the Showa Era Izakaya.

Why would you be afraid? This is the only way a discussion (not an argument) over quality of the assets can start.
According to Daz, PAs are not allowed to use AI at all, and customer support ignores any inquires about it beyond that statement, so even if any PAs were using it and willing to disclose it (outside of Daz, I've seen many "creators" not disclosing it and going through great lengths trying to prove no AI was used, including fake videos, but it doesn't mean PAs here would do the same), they have no way to do it, and a discussion about quality of the assets (not whether it's AI or not, because according to Daz, it is not) is all we have left.
I'd rather have poor quality products brought to my attention, so please, don't be afraid. Just because I won't buy them, doesn't mean someone else won't. Just like some people like skimpy wear and boob-tastic characters and some don't.
I hope to see a lot more from this PA, as far as I am concerned this is the star of this sale so far! Way to hit it out of the park with the first release in the store.

Totally agree. I've been in doppelgangers of this apartment so many times while in Japan and the only thing that struck me as a little weird is the bathroom sink. On the other hand, this set finally delivers a CG version of tho9se funky toilets with the sink built into the lid that make so much sense in terms of both recycling water and fitting everything into a tiny area. Utterly fantastic work and an instant buy.
I'd like to know more specifically what is and isn't posable; it's a much more valuable set if things like cupboard doors and fridges will open.
So far every door, window, washer, opens with either an 'open' slider or 'slides' with the X-Translation. Now I haven't got to everything, there are over 100 props and a great deal of care went into this. The rice cooker opens! But one cabinet door intersects with the range hood, and it looks like a cut-out was done to let it open. No wait! the doors are not placed correctly on the shelf box. I thought I might of accidentally moved them over, but I can't move them back. This is an issue, guess I need to send in a report to DAZ.

This, however, has become a very grey area, if I understand the Daz EULA correctly. Daz3d markets an associated text based generative AI product (sound familiar?), as an installed plug-in to Daz Studio (see YellowSculpt). A PA can conceivably use Yellow Sculpt to produce an entire product mesh and morphs, complete a full character product by adding their own additions and/or edits, and then market it as a stand alone product in the Daz store. The only requirement would be to state that it was created using Daz Starter Essentials. They might not be able to copyright it, however.
Someone please correct me, if I have this mixed up.

Yellow can produce character morphs, the AI bot is the same as the one on the store pages and can just answer questions. Your hypothetical list of steps is way beyond the current capabilities.

Understood, and thanks for the clarification! Then perhaps Yellow can access from the purchased and installed Gen 9 starter essential morphs, and then modify an already generated basic Gen 9 character. A person could then apply installed textures and clothing to produce a result. Am I close?

Regardless of that, this is a great environment.

Honestly those seem pretty minor, and easy to work around. I wish I had a project where this would make sense so I could justify the expense to myself, lol

I hope we see more from @AnTiNeko in the future.
the discussion was not related in any way to your liking the set
that didn't start anything
rather it was close examination of it by others revealing careless details
independent of any posts
likely fine from a distance
Thank you @WendyLuvsCatz
