I just got Havanalibere's Animation Tenderness for Genesis 8 and 9, tried it out on Dartanbeck 8 and Rosie 8.25 and it's So Cool!!!
I was expecting there to be more work involved, as there always is when animating two people in contact with one another like that. Yikes, this thing just put them right together as it shows in the video!!!
Kudos Havanalibere!!! Love Ya Man!!! Bravo!
Although I do not render nudes or girly pictures, I know there have been requests for 1940's era lady underwear and Chris Cox has delivered with https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-40s-liberty-lingerie-for-genesis-9-and-genesis-8-female. I hope that all of the people who do love to make those renders do see the product and their morphs. The only thing not offered is a girdle. And yes, they are in my cart.
Quoting from the reporting thread:
At least, no one will ever accuse this Genesis 9 character to have improper bending around the joints. Well done, Flipmode, well done
Nice things today in Holiday Deals and Freebies I think, quite generous!
I seriously want an inflate spherical morph for G9
with little nubby hands and feet,
Will a little critter do ?
Hehe, master of bending. ;)
Just to clarify ... it´s a HDRI/Skysphere, so no Genesis needed.
No clue why it lists it as such.
Thanks for a nice freebie: https://www.daz3d.com/fm-space-ii-desert-planet
Added Genesis 9 in the space suit to the scene, just in case :)
Not exactly a new release anymore, but I can't stop looking at https://www.daz3d.com/t3d-john-genesis-9-masculine by Tempesta3d. The face is stunning and would have been an instabuy, but the pecks area is so bad, that I can't bring myself to pay too much for the figure out of which I'll only use the head and skin, so I'm more likely to wait for some serious discount.
I love his face too. Tempesta is one of the more stylised artists and their characters doesn't always suit my rendering style, but they have also created some of my favourite characters. John will definitely make his way into my cart someday.
Similar for me is Feng's new release today, Jennifer: https://www.daz3d.com/fn-jennifer-hd-for-genesis-9. She will be a very useful base to create a custom character from. Might even get two or three characters out of her. I love it when artists bring some diversity to the gene pool.
I read somewhere in the G9 Woes thread that some artists may see HD as a chore - and that certainly shows in some 'HD' products - so it's great to see an artist who is embracing HD to its fullest. Yes, HD favours wrinkles, but you can also create fantastically realistic young characters by dialing in HD morphs like that at a low percentage. I think that's where some artists are missing a trick when it comes to HD. Too many young characters have a uniform mesh displacement added as their HD with work only put into creased ankles, feet, hands, knees and elbows. Those are not so useful, in my experience. I've so many characters who are 20 years old in the face and 40 years old in those other areas.
You know that saying, 'There is always another sale!' or something along that line? Well last year there was a pair of items released that really impressed me but finances didn't match up to buying them at the time. Today, I struck gold.

The Artemis might be a niche item but I can use it, and the cameras and poses are really well done. Thank you to nEO and FeralFey.

I just noticed that while the product name and main text doesn't seem to mention it, today's Holidaz deal hair ( https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-strand-based-fe-braids-bowknot-hair-for-genesis-9 ) is G8-compatible. It does include G8 under Compatible Figures and in the Read Me, but the rest of the product text doesn't mention it. I'm product testing now and confirmed that there's G8 version with shapes, mats, etc.
I couldn't resist https://www.daz3d.com/frames-and-display-cases, wishlisted https://www.daz3d.com/black-round-house-furniture-part-3-top-floor-rooms for the nice props, also like the furniture in https://www.daz3d.com/cca-regency-core-living-room. Both Holiday Deals were spectacualar today imo.
We have a GOAT, people!!! https://www.daz3d.com/goat-by-am-bundle
Yeah - it will probably leave a dent in my store credit...
Not to sure about the hit. https://www.daz3d.com/goat-by-am-bundle made a splash at $24.91 and 6 tokens and I added https://www.daz3d.com/vdb-essentials--prep-and-animate-bundle which was talked about two pages ago and I never thought I could afford it. It came in at $7.12 for the bundle. I only used 6 of my 8 tokens because I did not want to use all my 8 tokens as the cart dropped 2 tokens.
I will be honest, I am not sure I will ever do animations, but maybe I will want to do shifting flames or something that are not like everyones' elses?
I'm tempted by the Goat bundle, but with no tokens it's going into the wishlist.
Goat Bundle looks awesome. Can't afford it at the moment, but can't wait til I can. Thanks, AM. Very much appreciated.
Something new.
Just jumping on here to say thanks AM for the goats! I'll be buying https://www.daz3d.com/goat-by-am-bundle later today.
I am an educator, not an artist, and my big project right now involves visualizing life in ancient southwest Asia — for which goats are a must! I’d been using older models and kitbashed solutions previously. This will enliven my choices!
You and the other fellas you are all welcome. Cheers.
I was so excited to spot it in new releases! Had to come on here and cheer! <3
I guess nobody but me has bought it yet but Screams in Stone is not downloadable. Doesn't show up in DIM, doesn't have a DIM link, and the "Manual Download" link takes you to the Product Library page for it ... which has no download links.
Okay, an update on https://www.daz3d.com/vdb-essentials--prep-and-animate-bundle. I just downloaded all three product files (actually 22 total) that came to 25.9 GBs in the Download Tab and were 45.8 GBs once Installed. I actually clicked on each file one at a time to ensure I didn't get any fails. If you are short on storage be careful with this one. I have my DAZ product files on a 24 TB external drive and it is now down to almost 17 TBs of empty space.
reported, and the Kid goat
Yay, goats! Already in my cart ...
Definitely tempted by the goats. But I refuse to use Iray, and that makes a problem. Particulary given that I've heard no suggestions from the forum over my question of getting the Player to apply preset crashing Studio.
I suspect the issue will really be as to how much of a closeup I'm going to be using them in. At a distance, I probably won't need the hair.
I was going to buy it but will now hold off until I know it is fixed. Thank you columbine!
I don't see anyting in the Goat description about supporting LAMH or LAMH 2 Catalyzer, so I don't know what "Player" would help you use the goat.
