I can confirm you do need the required product:

Also, the fireworks product is rather large, around 5 gigs. The base product is also nearly as large.

A really big thank you. I don't remember seeing the required product, nor when it came through the store and after looking at the bundle, it looks like something someone who is seriously into animation would use. But not someone who barely touches it, except for dForce, has a older system or is low on storage. I downloaded an outfit yesterday that was 998.9Mb and it turned into 1.8GB when fully opened. Just three texture sets. I have one drive to store my DAZ content that is 4Tb and it is now over 3Tb's and growing.

Edit to correct size of product.

I'm glad the info helped folks. The fireworks add-on is a very nice set. Just make sure you have the space for it.

Luthbel's Wise Wizard Remasterd HD-dForce clothing is very nice. It was a favorite of mine for Genesis 8 Male. It does look like Luthbel removed the Genesis 8 Male version(clothes. character and beard) from the store. If you happen to own the G8M version, you can use its texture options on the G9 version. And Luthbellina's texture expansion pack is still available and also works on the remstered version. Just an FYI.

    I was curious about https://www.daz3d.com/li-dforce-shower-tress-hair-for-genesis-9
    so I have bought it.
I have rendered the scene with this hair, without dForce simulation, and it took around 2 minutes to render.
Now I have run dForce simulation and trying to render the same scene.
It has already passed 31 minutes and the message says "Updating textures" and no image at all.
Have anybody experienced such behavior during rendering?

Another trial on different scene - now rendering time was around 50 seconds.

I have used default dForce simulation settings, instead of using one of the setting from the hair package.

I really like Luna3D's latest tattoos. Very nice on a 3D figure where age won't muddy the colours. They're shown to their best advantage in the superb promo images. It looks like the character must be from Mousso's stable, Kim possibly?

Anyway, look lovely, just don't think they'd look so great on a real person in 20 years after age allows a bit of dye migration.

    Regards,

    Richard

Lala-rabbit's Desert Princess outfit looks as pretty as their previous products. My only critique is that it seems *heavily* inspired (cough) by princess Aeolian's outfit (by Wlop).

I'm the opposite: I get annoyed with tattoo products that are so clean that they look like stickers.

Same. I've made my own and it's not to hard to make them look like they're on multiple layers of skin and non-fresh (they should not reflect light differently or have a bump unless they're fesh).

In photoshop I'll usually redraw the design with a lead pencil type brush then add an overlay layer with a tiny bit of blur to minic the ink bleed. On pale skin I add blue to black, on black skin I add green. In daz you might need a couple of layers from memory, playing around with the overlay/darking settings.

I'm yet to buy a set that lookes really settled in! The PAs would probably need to have some adjustments for defferent skin types.

I've found that it works pretty well to only put the tattoo in the translucency slot, keeping base color blank.

Thank you! I was thinking it was too bad that there weren't additional textures for the new one, this makes me feel a lot better about it.

Did you manage to solve this? I don't have the hair yet unfortunately so cannot help directly but was planning to get it.

I think this new chemistry set is done very well Victorian Chemistry Equipment | Daz 3D ... It also brought me to an artist/creator that I had not seen before, hypnagogia. Some real great work here, albeit a bit niche.... The products on musical instruments is very good.
Anyway, back to the chemistry set. Its says from Victrian era, but we used the same stuff in our chemistry class back in the 60s laugh. Maybe our school needed some upgrading?

I have bought a number of items from hypnagogia and they have been most useful in a variety of scenes. There is one I would like to get, https://www.daz3d.com/antique-architect-equipment as it reminds me of the tools I used when I took a Blueprint Reading class in college after work in the early 1970s. I was stationed in Germany and there was a fuel crises at the time and instead of a lamp, I had to create blueprints for a house by candlelight. That is after working all day, taking class and then working on an 18 inch deep desk in my dorm room until 22:30. And of course weekends. I did not have that slanted table and boy would I have loved it, along with real light.

Magic Brush seems to have a pretty questionable understanding of what an afro is

Loving the Ettoo character! I can't offhand think of a place for the character itself in any of my stories, but absolutely the textures and eye colors will come in handy! That cool cloak is an added bonus.

Thanks for pointing out the cloak, I hadn't seen that! Yes, a lovely and very generous set.

Maybe I have been really hiding under a rock for too long, but that hair is nothing like what my friends had, who had to straighten their hair from their natural tight curls to something the Air Force would accept, before an Afro curl style (short) was permitted in the early 1970s. It does look like something someone with very fine, thin straight hair might get with a perm or curlers/styling wand. And my friends, the minute they had the option to stop straightening their hair with chemicals, they did. Still had to keep it short, nothing like the big Afro's in the store, more like an inch deep. I hope DAZ rethinks this name and changes it like they have done to others.

The dForce settings, that come with the hair does not work for me,  so I have used default settings for dForce sumulation.

I overlooked this item at first, but then went back and actually thought it was pretty cool. The possibilities of using this are pretty broad, within the props given, but I can see it
HT Stairs Tree and Energy Spheres | Daz 3D  Some of the stuff could be made easy enough within DAZ Studio, especially the spheres, but the concept of the set is very creative.

  • ArtiniArtini Posts: 10,304

You are right. Should be easy to create something similar in Daz Studio.
