Since I'll be using David Metlesits' Enterprise-D for the new ship, I thought I might do a new MSD to match, since his version isn't wholly accurate to either the six- or four-foot studio models, but it does work as an upgrade and kind of matches the old STO Galaxy-class. I'll also be modifying the textures to match the STO color scheme.
I remembered the episode, but not the name of it. I'll still look it up.
The ship she was on in "Face of the Enemy" was the IRW Khazara, a D'deridex-class Warbird. Memory Alpha says it's had 4 different bridge styles in TNG
As a swing set and given the time between episodes they were probably adding different pieces to the base version the whole time. I recognized the main arches for the ceiling and sides of the bridge as well as the grating though.
I loaded up the Prologic9 conversion and while it's modeling is amazing it has no textures or even specs for the aztec paneling which made me sad. It really was an amazing mesh. That and the text on the ship is tied into parts of it so you can't hide it to make it another ship very easily without losing thruster peices. Well at least in Daz. I'm sticking with the Melesits version too. I think I can avoid using the saucer seperation ;)
Don't forget the array of green lights in nearly every other shot ;)
I think the basic arrangment of command chair and consoles is too close to Stafleet's standard. That's why I decided tobuild the TV version.
Just checked Trekcore for screencaps. There are differences between the two sets. But there are simularities, too. I might be able to come up with a "Never-before-seen" Movie version that combines the two.
Here's what I've got going for my Romulan Bridge. Between "Contagion" and "Face of the Enemy", a lot of details were changed. So This is going to be a blend of both sets:
Some things I'm helping trouble shoot, test and in general get to play around with. Mirror Universe clothing for G2M (the TOS oufit is from a previous set but just to show the sash works with the previous outfits too) and a few props; A pin, knife, fazer (that's how it's spelled), and an agonizer. I'm told a special thanks goes to Bluto for his help with the props.

the nice thing about that fazer is that its a 1,2 combo with part being a cricket , it is a tng set after all

Looking good :-)
Knowing a few that ride types of them, this is what I think of for "fazers".
Coming along nicely :-) I like that ceiling piece too ;-)
Thank you. I'm going to work on the hatchway walls tonight.
Tonight's update on my Romulan Bridge:

Got the preliminary deck layout finished. I'll be doing a custom Ten Forward lounge because, as it turns out, the one on-screen would be about three to four feet from floor to ceiling. :D
Made that one for the wee little people didn't they
I think Wesly had something to do with it. :P
When they made the four foot model they widened the saucer rim a bit so that 10 Forward would work. The big 6 foot model definitely didn't have room.
I like your solution though. It works.
The six footer did have more than its fair share of problems, especially since it was designed without any feedback from the model-makers. Can't say I would've liked working in the TNG special effects department back then. Unfortunately, they continued using stock footage of the six-footer and four-footer interchangably. When Generations rolled around, they had to restore and update the six-footer because the four-footer was too small to really work for the big screen, and it didn't have the separation ability. It's a real shame, too. I kinda like the four-footer.
I liked the four footer too. It might not have been as smooth and clean as the 6 footer but the four footer had loads of character and felt more like a ship to me.

Posting an update here of my own.
Mads, will this work for you?
http://prntscr.com/82alqy
Yes- definately. :-)
One chair, divided in elements that are easily switched off / made invisible.
I assume you have shaders for these, since DS ones will not work for you?
Send me a mail addie I can send the package to for you?
I put together a connie from one of Starkiller's kits. I'm getting this odd texture problem on the nacelles. I'm using Poser 10.
Any ideas on what's going on?
Hey mylochka :)
If memory serves me, it's a smoothing or tiling issue. Try fiddling with those.
