Although I like the meme poses, recognize most of then and think they are a funny idea I wouldn't use them. What makes memes so funny is that you use the meme picture and maybe add a caption yourself and use it in your situation. But a hilarious idea nonetheless and well done!

I wouldn't call myself a meme expert, but I spend alot of time on tumblr. So I've seen most of these. There's the Mic drop meme, The woman yelling at cat meme, Succes Baby(who's an adult now BTW), Salt Bae, Neil Degrass Tyson, One does not simply walk into Mordor, Slow Clap, Annoyed Picard, Michael Jackson eating popcorn(not really a meme but a reaction), Roll Safe, Facepalm, and the Great gatsby reaction

There are some others I don't recognise, but that's the thing about memes. They really only make sense in context.

Funny, I never knew these were memes. I know about the mic drop, slow claps and popcorn eating thing but mostly from TV spoofs like Family Guy, the Simpsons or Southpark (which I do get on Hulu) and Twitter gifs, never knew they were memes. Most of the memes I see are political and would not be a product here lol.

This is exactly the problem with the word "meme": the actual meaning of the word has been almost totally lost, and now people think that a "meme" is just an image with text on it. Even without seeing the images, you still absorbed these ideas, which is what a meme really is.

.......so I guess it's now "Meme Madness".

Technically, this phenomena is what scientists call memeory loss.

That seems to be the case.

  • As usual, I am underimpressed with MM.

1)Tons of deals if I suddenly decided to focus on G8 (not now) or that I don't have enough Generation 4 content (I do). And a goodly amount of G1 and G2 items. But very little G3, compared to anything else. Which isn't limited to MM. I noticed it during the various fall/winter sales. And Fast Grab has been mostly G8 for months.

    2) The MM version of PC+ For A Day isn't nearly as appealing now. Why? In the past, you just bought the item for a VERY good price. This time, it's only if you buy other things. Which leads to

    3) Pricing games aren't fun for me and make it less likely I will buy.

  • Frankly, after the anniversary/chrismas sales, this March Madness is falling way short of what it was hyped to be.

Despite some very tempting releases in the past few days I'm not swept away with the sale itself ... but hey it's still possible to get new releases for 50% off, similar to holiday sale. I'm just hesitant to pull the trigger over the few items I like because the holiday sale featured an event toward the end of the sake where you could get an additional 30% off new releases.

The thing is, the same could then be said about the other sales.  There seems to be this idea that every sale has to be 'better' than the previous ones.  Better is obviously super subjective as well, but I know from planning the PC anniversary sales that there is this pressure to always top the last one.  Discounts cant just be forever increased I'm afraid (which seems to be the main definition of better)

i love getting stuff as cheap as possible. In this sale, the Bonus items are real low overall. There are some pretty good combo deals. It all boils down if you need or want the stuff at the given price. I've passed on a lot of stuff. its fun just checking to see what you can get as low as possible.

It's a fine sale, Jack. Some of us are still digesting our earlier purchases. My product list is a constant surprise to me, as in "I have that? I have that! Whoa! When did I get that? Excellent" indecisionlaughangel

While there hasn't been much to interest me, I'm glad the sales have been simple so I don't have to waste a bunch of time figuring out whether or not I'm interested. I've picked up a few new items and a gift card and that's fine by me.

For me, at least the first week of sales was great.

Those coupons for extra discounts stacked with artist store totaled for some amazing discounts for PAs that rarely get that much (I haven't seen 75% for OOT since I joined in December).

We also got 2 time 40$ worth of free DOs.

The bonus items are also very cheap.

We also got Temp pc items including G8 stuff.

I am not sure what people are expecting.

80-90% discount for everything every day?

As long as interesting offers come every few days, I think it's fine.

I don't have to buy something every day. Actually my wallet would be grateful if I didn't.

I got a whole bunch of G3 hair items for very little, so that was good.

...yes  #2 in particular as I was hoping for similar deals.

Pretty much got off the bus with G3 as well couldn't justify buying all the morphs and utilities again to make G8 as useful as G3 is given the few minor improvements.

"You can have some cheap old stuff, but only if you buy some expensive stuff."
The hype I was referring to were comments by other customers, who kept saying that MM was at least as good if not better than the Aniversary sale. Nothing says the discounts have to be increased, but here are a few examples of things that don't sit right: the featured artists are 40-50% off when they have been 50-60% off in non sale times, PC+ for a day, when its even there, remains the same, instead of cycling each day. PC+ requires a purchase to activate.

Not all sales are created equal. It has always been so.

I have some G3 stuff but went all in for G8 because of G8 characters all using the Base UV, not custom ones for each of the different DAZ Oeriginals like G3 did.  I took a long hiatus and the only other generation I ahve in any quanity is V4/M4 so I am actually hoping for soem G8 deals but as usual, Match Madness just isn't.  Hasn't been for the last few years.

Sorry, I know this has been asked before but I'm trying to get the Mad Artists Stores link where you can view them all together to work. It's just bringing up a blank page and clicking on the "Hide PC+ Items" link is no longer fixes it.

The problem is that the PC sale this year really did rock and the others have all paled a bit in comparison.  So that kinda makes it your fault. angel  . I will agree with others in that the MMs have been far less interesting this year, with way too much reliance on the same old bargain bins of  V4, Genesis and G2 DAZ Originals practically every single day... especially when they're not even being discounted at the respective 90/80 and 80% off rates that they go on sale for constantly during non-major sales.  As Pepe Le Pew would say, "Le Yawn."

You do a great job, Jack, on the anniversary sales & I am already looking forward to it & the other fall sales.

MM is not my favorite sale mainly because the deals are less likely to fit my buying patterns than the deals for PA/anniversary/holiday sales--and that's okay. I still like seeing what is on offer & I know from the forums that other people are happy with MM. And this year I was pleasantly surprised that I got some good stuff the first week or 2, despite The (not so) Great Membership Crisis. (Jack knows what I am talking about & my last word on it is that there was a happy ending.)

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting kinda irritated with the way the whole Key Items gimmick is playing out.  It's bad enough that that the Key Items keep not showing in the promo ads, so you have to log out to find what they are, but having the V8 and M8 Pro Bundles as key items seems to pretty much negates the point of buying the new Jonathan Pro Bundle... I mean, with how many times that DAZ has given these two bundles away in various promotions, how many customers can they have who don't have at least one of them?
