With the $80 of free Daz Originals and now that stacking sale, this March Madness is shaping up to be a pretty good sale!

I've seen the codes for a certain % off of products, but where did you get those 80 dollars free? *curious*

Aside from the free DAZ coupons, the sale looks weaker to me so far. The additional deals are not very attractive to me or any user who already has a good collection to go and only looks for special pieces. The additional discount for new releases is nice, but I rarely buy anything new released unless it's really something I love so much that I want it directly which happens rarely. And also, we had the Christmas sale where you can get new releases for 50% off if you had the max loyalty discount.

I hope Howie releases his announced landscape set during this sale, this is something I like so much I will pick it up as a new release. The rest ... depends on the item and what I'm currently working on.

It was only 50% off if you were already a member, otherwise 30%.

kicking myself for not trying yesterday's (and the day before's bonus girl) Sisi in my cart

I thought had to be a new new to qualify

but todays Annissa was only $2.20 in my cart so it's any new in 3 days

Wonder if these bonus items also count as New.

I love these coupons - it's the only time I can afford IgnisSerpentus's incredible work :)

The coupon today is pretty sweet, it stacks with the various other discounts including Fast Grab!

That's the struggle - use the coupons on stuff that's never on sale? Or maximize the coupons with other discounts.

I decided to use it on stuff that is in my high priority wishlist and never has big discounts. In today's case OOT hair.

    Just a random note.

So, I'm looking at the store banner for the interactive licenses coupons.  When I read the second code, INTERSTELLAR, I'm 'hearing' that in Grig's voice...

    Gotta luv Gung ho Iguanas!

The 'catch phrase' is at 1:19 or so, for those wanting to hear it again.

If I remember correctly, in the last several MM sales there were two times (in the middle of the sale month and the very end) where EVERY PA was on sale for 60% off so if you're not getting more than 60% off for the PAs that rarely go on sale, you can wait till then. Also this is a long sale. There will probably be many opportunities to get things for 60% off and so far more with coupons and stacking.

...when? 04:00 when I was asleep?

I have Ati's email notifications and received nothing about it.  There were also no banner offers, and I manually checked (several times) yesterday as I have the annual membership in my wishlist and every tine I looked, the price was 70$ with no discount..

...always loved the exchange (at 0:15)

Alex: "It will be a slaughter"

    Grig: "That's the spirit."

    Alex: "No, my slaughter!"

This film was one of the first to use an extensive amount of 3D computer generated models, scenery, and effects (27 minutes using a Cray X-MP supercomputer).  Yes primitive compared to what we have today, but groundbreaking in the mid 1980s..

i was mistake..it was 50% off for PC+ members ..but it would have given members an additional year for $35. the coupons are coming in without many items excluded though ... good to check a lot and routinely. read the fine print.

...yeah, mine expired on the 20th so that is likely why I didn't get that email deal.

Still concerned about renewing the 3 month and then seeing another discount a day or so later which would be meaningless as I am on a very tight budget where even 24$ is a lot at one time.

Guess I'll have to just deal with missing out on deals until next Tuesday.

From a commercial point of view, March Madness is actually quite brilliant. To maximize discounts, the customer has to keep buying new stuff at least once every three days. And, on top of that, part of the discount is random, in that the customer does not know in advance which products might turn up as key-items later. But, the customer can get upto 55% discount when guessing right.

Best advice for customers who do want to spend a little, and try to maximize their discounts:
    1. Get the Bonus Madness item at least once every three days, to keep the "bought a new item during the past three days" requirement active, just in case a desirable one turns up.
    2. If a very desirable new product does turn up, combine it with the Bonus Madness item, to increase the discount from 40% to 50%, and just hope the new product becomes a Key Item for a few days. (Key items will probably start to rotate soon)
    3. Keep an eye out for coupons that include new items for discounts. Flash Sales usually don't start before noon Daz time, which can be quite frustrating to those living in European and West-Asian timezones, as that happens to be in the evening or at night for them, and they frequently already made their purchases before any additional flash-sale bonusses pop up.

  • What is this "So much Hair for only $2.20"?

I don't see any hair listed for 2.20

For the next fifteen minutes to half an hour, the Daz store is in change-over to the next day sale, so odd things and a lot of missing/broken links may appear. So take note of your current local time, add half an hour, and that will be the time that the store usually becomes stable. Ofcourse, things will mess up this moment of the day for a while when countries start applying daylight saving times. frown

About 12 hours later, the first flash-sale banners usually show up, that is generally the best time to make purchases, else you might miss out on some awesome stacking deals.

During big sales, like MM, wait an hour before going through the store (1 am UTAH time).

How ridiculus, if the store can't function correctly then shut it until it can. This is one of the few times at the moment I have to browse the store I'm much too tired when I get home to bother, I have spent so little this MM and it looks as if that won't be increasing if I can't shop when I need to.

I think Cris meant give it approximately an hour if you're seeing anything weird or whatever.   Though taking the site offline completely also wont help you if that's your only window to shop..

What I usually do during the first hour, is look at the new things, read their descriptions a bit more thoroughly, wishlist the ones I like, maybe add them to the cart without checking out (so I can still remove them later). Basically, mule over them a bit longer whether I could actually use them, let the idea of getting them or deciding to not get them settle. Shiny *new* things are harder to pass up than things that have been on our wishlist for a few months, so that unreliable first hour is actually a good thing for us consumers, it lets the newness wear off a little and allows for logic to take over.

Since many older hairs are on sale today, a tip for newer people:

Old hairs are the easiest items to use on newer figures, even without an autofit for the hair's  intended figure: Load into your scene (don't Fit To); position in place, which sometimes takes a bit of work; parent in place to figure's head.

The store also has some great Iray hair shader packages. I have one by Sloshwerks with many colors, easy-to-use; clear instructions (on the promos even!); and it goes on sale every so often. Slosh offers 2 or 3 sets and some other PAs do as well.
