Presumably becuse it was a simple error to identify and fix, unlike the issue with the Countdown items which is variable in who it affects and how.
I thought I would try, one last time. Nope, the 2.99 is still not working. What good is a nice loyalty discount, when you can't buy anything you want to use it on? Really, Daz, I am not feeling this theoretical customer appreciation. Not at all.
Phew. $2.99 sale still not working for me. Worked a while ago but not the last days. Oh and of course the extra 10% are gone. Please don't only fix the customer-friendly bugs, DAZ. At least that way I might be able to save a little store credit over to the new year. Isn't RawArt doing a birthday sale/promo right on the 1st usually?
You know, that's right. They fixed the glitches that worked in our favor (a measley 10%, but at least that's something.) while the bad glitches keep on comin' But I got a cart this morning before the 81% disappeared to 78 or 79%.
As I said above, a simple validity issue is probably a trivial fix, the issue with the Countdown items isn't a simple error, whatever it may in fact be.
From todays' list of Countdown items, I can easily pick 10 items I would've thrown in my cart with the 1 new item combination and my Loyalty discount. They should be around $2.09 a piece when everything works right, so $20.90 total.
Even without the loyalty discount, at $2.99 each, I wouldn't have difficulty picking my favourite 7 out of those 10, to end up at roughly the same total price: $20.93
With nothing working as it should, and each item costing $9.95 no matter how I throw it in my cart, I could place my top 2 choices of them in my cart for a total of $19.90. Looking closer, that'd be a 51% discount on one of them, and a 45% discount on the other. Uhmm, in that case, I'll just remove them from my cart and hope I have the funds available when the artists get featured some day, or even better, when the items enter fast grab. Not saying I'll get them when they do, but they'd be under stronger consideration than they are now.
The $2.99 sale only worked for me three times. Hasn't worked since the 23rd. Had three items I wanted to purchase today, but, given that I have to factor in a 40% exchange rate (which in itself is ridiculous), that $14 purchase becomes $42, which I refuse to pay. Passed on a number of other items over the last week for the same reason. Doesn't make a difference if there is a new item in the cart or not. Oh, well, saves me some bucks.
Yep, the modules may not be stand alone. I looked into Magento years ago and decided not to buy it because of the complaints even back then. But Magento at least allows businesses to do trickier discount events. It defies logic to have different people getting different results when the same code is (supposedly) in place. From all the carts I bought / tested (thousands of dollars worth, to choose for my online business) the modular ones had areas to input either percents, buying levels (you spend x you get y discount), codes, etc. I don't know how modules work if two or more are interrelated, but if you have to buy a new release to get a discount in another section, that's probably two different modules at play right there. I may do a Google search for problems with Magento just because I'm curious.
Yet you persist with a sales structure that has not worked for many days. Why have the sales not been handled in a different way?
Although I haven’t heard of this happening yet, it’s possible that people who had lower discounts could increase their discount by spending during the sale.
Also, I know this isn’t helpful to anybody, but I haven’t had a single problem this whole sale!
Firstly, I have no affiliation with Daz. As a matter of fact, I had more than my share of drop mic moments here, due to the same fustrations (and so many others) that you may feel now. DAZ is a smart company. It offers a thirty day insurance policy to protect you from these unforeseen events and glitches. The newbie me, heavily relied on this policy and although the majority of my issues were at the fault of the user, ME, Daz support team faired me well. These days, for me, so far, every day the sale has worked each day and most days I have had some moments where things did not work, but later that day those issues resolved, and those non-working moments ceased to exist. Sometimes the cart was off but knowing I could do a screen shot of the offer that was lower, made it a no brainer to buy and issue a ticket to customer support. They are busy but they will support you if you have screenshots.
I know this sale must be working for mostbuyers, because I have had cart checked out almost every day, and the huge GIGANTIC difference in invoice numbers is unfathomable, and looking at the differentials in those daily invoices, I personaly doubt DAZ is losing customers. DAZ has a tremendous amount of people taking advantage of these sales, so considering this is the last day, you should do the following
1> Take a screen shot of the offer
2> Buy what you want
3. Calculate what the price should have been
3> Contact customer support and ask for a refund or credit for the difference.
Seasoned people here know this is how it works so I assume they are not the ones griping. So for you newbies, fill your cart, screen shoot your cart and the offer, and know DAZ will credit or refund the amount you overpaid at chechout.
I never let a gitch keep me from buying a bargain.
I have been shopping here at Daz since 2005 so not a newbie and I have never seen a sale like this that just doesn't work and I don't believe I should have to spend more tha n required on their advertised sale and hope for a refund dependant on whether I send in the apropriate screen shots and calculate what I should have spend. This is not the way business is done.
i get the procedure too, ArtAngel.
i just don't want to spend 20 minutes assembling documentation and doing math, and wait three days for the happy result. and to do this every day?
if i had to run this gauntlet at the grocery stores where i shop, it'd take me four weeks to fix dinner.
:)

Has anyone actually had a customer service request handled in less than a week since this promotion statrted? There is one (1) item in today's batch of $2.99s I want, but I just finally got a ticket I submitted on the 20th resolved and I have another that's been floating out there since the 23rd, and I'm assuming that they'll be off for New Years Eve Evening and New Years Day..
So, in the past few times I've tried it, 2.99 didn't work as advertised (i.e. extra discount when new item in cart). Didn't even bother trying yesterday. Today, the items just plain don't work. With or without the extra item. Always 9.95. It's not even annoying any more. More of a joke now.
Maybe the title of this thread should be changed to:
"There's always another glitch"
or is that's Daz3d's © motto?
Yeah, it's definitely getting worse. The first couple of days I couldn't get the discount to $2.99 with a new item in the cart, now there's just no discount no matter what.
Bueller?

Many of the folks I've seen posting have been around the block a long time, and know how to shop, how to deal with glitches, and seen the magnitude of glitches and there's not been one this pervasive since I've started shopping here in 2012. For some people to get all the things they can't get, would mean spending large amounts of money. Then hoping for a refund in a week? Not happening. And having to do all the calculations (spending an hour/ hours) to get your money back? As said, you have to provide all the SKUs, the price, the price it should be, subtract, and a screenshot fof the cart. So yeah, we know what to do (but thanks to posters for trying to be helpful.)
Daz is good at offering the same products in different sales, and I'd give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll try to do that 2.99 price down the road, as soon as they can do so with it running smoothly for everyone. At this point, I don't even crack open the section on the 2.99's. The other sections, when working, are good deals so thank you Daz for that.
I am a person of limited financial means and no credit card, and do not have that sort of moeny to spend three times the amout of money and take what I have paid too much as store credit. or wait for weeks for a refund.
I will not eat for a week or more if I do stuff like that.
Just to report: on the 30th everything worked as it should for me, and I saw the $2.99 furtehr reduced with a new item. But then just before Daz midnight on the 30th, I had some $2.99 in the cart, added a new item and they shot up to $9.95. So I am none the wiser. It could just be random numbers in the algorithm, or it could be early signs of the the return of Cthulhu - and there's plenty of other evidence for that.
And there we go - all $2.99 items are $9,95 in my cart. Adding a new release, they stay at $9.95.
No sale today,
the deal has gone away.
three times the price,
that's not very nice.
for days it has gone on,
for sure that's too long.
I've become aware
for my custom they do not care.
empties my cart.
that's a start.
now off to Rend
to do my spend.
this little ditty
may not be witty
but for real
it's how we feel.
$2.99 sale not working for me, all items cost $9.95, 9tth day in a row.
Maybe for the better; would have probably died of surprise if it had worked.
Owner of a corrupted DAZ-account and doubting that DAZ will ever fix it.
Happy new year to you, too....
The sales were working for me at first, including the $2.99 (where the prices were $2.09 for me), and then everything trippled or more in price when I tried to check out. Cart dumped.
Best insult I've read for ages!
2,99 = 9,95 today. Again.
Why can't DAZ just put these items up at 2,99 for one day to give us unhappy customers a chance to buy what we missed during the last days of this frustrating sale? I'm fed up with this non-working stuff.
Oh joy, oh rapture, it's still broken. Ten days. What a rubbish way to treat loyal customers.
I buy using a debit card and the money comes straight out of my current account. I'd rather NOT go without food this week so Daz can faff around refunding me money I should not have to pay in the first place. There's five items I'd like to get...that's $49.75US, $79.60NZ as opposed to what should be $14.95US, $23.92NZ. That's one heck of a difference. So no thanks, I'll pass on that 'bargain'.
The images in the bottom carousel are incorrect. The ones for the "free pro bundle when you buy Tristan pro bundle". The link does take you to the correct category tho.
