I'm done with this sale so I'm just going to take this time to wish everyone a very happy new year.

Hopefully, 2020 will be a much better year.

Happy New Year to you, and I love your Avatar pic... smiley

I wanted some things from the 2.99 selection... But they are still full price. Repeatedly being offered things but unable to actually buy them is very frustrating.

Has anyone else noticed the total price in their cart jumping up slightly during checkout?

This has happened to me on the last few orders actually.  My cart will be content at some price level no matter what I add or delete from the cart while I'm figuring out which items I REALLY want and how much they will be.  I go to checkout, price shows as it was in the cart, and then a few seconds later it jumps by a number of pennies.  I've seen it jump as much as around 75 cents, my purchase today jumped again, about 25 cents between when I checked 'use store credit' on the checkout screen and just before I hit 'complete purchase', whatever that button is called.

Yes.  Apparently it re-runs all the math once you actually hit charge and it often factors things differently... which sucks if you're being charged state tax.  I've found that often that even though it's showing the amount that you'll pay in tax, that number may not be added into the final total until the charge is actually going through - end result: even though you see the amount you'll pay in tax, the total shown may only be a pre-tax sub-total. ;/.

the 2,99 products are not getting the 20% discount when you add a new stuff, it's the opposite they go to 9,95 price if you add any new product to then.

For the last few months, my total doesn't show the tax until I'm on the final checkout screen.  Most of the time, it shows $0.00 for tax on the Shopping Cart screen, but sometimes shows tax, but the tax is always shown and applied on the final checkout screen. Weird bug.

Happily for me, the $2.99 + loyalty + new item are working for me today, so I bought several things. Wish it was working for everyone.

The 2.99 items were 8.95 earlier this morning; now they are 9.95.   So, apparently they fixed the 10% across-the-board discount mistake.   Btw, doesn't matter if a new item is in my cart or not.

Yeah, it was a great sale.

Best one since a long time, as far as I'm concerned.

Only real good one this year. (Not a PC member.)

Unfortunately, I was excluded from the only part that interested me.

There's a lot of odd stuff going on with this sale. Today, everything from the countdown section lists as $9.95 for me, no matter in what combination, what amount, or whether I have a new item included or not.

In my current cart on the Checkout page, Magazine Cover Poses for Genesis 8 Female & Victoria 8 lists a "new" icon in front of the wishlist symbol.
At the same time, dForce Winter Frolic for Genesis 8 Female(s) does *not* have a "new" icon in front of the wishlist symbol there.
It'll probably fix itself when I refresh the checkout page or update my cart..

Earlier today, Pix Merana for Genesis 3 Female not only had a "new" icon, but also an "owned" icon in front of the wishlist symbol. It fixed itself when I removed and re-added her to my car. Sadly, the prices didn't fix themselves, so she's still in my wishlist. I truelly never saw that red "owned" icon on that page before. Makes sense that it exists, though.

But, it's also a bummer, now that there's so much nice stuff in that list. I eventually bought some stuff, but nothing from the countdown section, hoping that part would fix itself during the day. Apparently not, though.

You nail it. For online stores is usual before charging CC to re-calculate price on server side (PHP or ASP function) because without that somebody can change price in HTML with Object Inspector to whatever he wants. My approach to that problem is: if I get any difference between browser (client side) and recalculated amount (server side) I put message "Unknown error occurred" and don't allow CC charge. Better to lose that sale then have CC chargeback from unsatisfied client.

The thing that bothers me is that this is 'new' to my purchases.  While I've occasionally seen price jumps in the past, usually after I've refreshed/modified the cart a few times while figuring out which items I'll end up buying that day, once the price 'settles' in the cart, that price has remained the same at checkout.  It's only been recently/within the last several weeks where the math has changed DURING checkout in most/almost all cases.

An update to my post this morning, when I reported that the $2.99 Countdown Sale items had gone down to $8.95 instead of the usual $9.95, and adding a new item made no difference.  I did not check out then in the hope that a solution to the bug might be found now that the holiday weekend is over, but instead my cart got even more expensive because all the Countdown Sale items are now showing as $9.95 and adding a new item makes no difference to their prices (but at least my Loyalty Discount works on the new item).  My one hope is that they can process my requests for store credit due to incorrect prices in my previous "sale" purchases quickly so that I have some funds again.  It is getting way too expensive to have to buy these items at $9.95.

Didn't you write you have made a new, second account?

    Can't you order using that...?

  • Products that were at 81% off earlier that day are now 79% and I don't know why. That's a bit on the amount on products I have in cart, so I can't get them until it's fixed. Otherwise I have to skip.

Which products? The 10% off daz originals was incorrectly applying to nn-Daz products, and that was fixed.

I have also the Sale problem. I have seen, that I can buy 5 items for 2.99$ each in the "New Year Countdown Items" -sale (and as a PC+ Member I would also get 10% off)

I added 4 items to my cart from the selected items list and all are shown for 9.95$ instead of 2.99$. Did I do something wrong?

Any help is welcome, before the sale ends.

Earlier there was a small glitch  that applied an extra percentage to products that weren't qualified for it. That appears to have now been fixed.

Is 30% the cap on the loyalty discount?  Otherwise, I don't get the "current" part, with the amount I have spent so far.  It hasn't changed.

Last , what 10?, pages are about this particular sale price problem. Welcome to the Club.

If you really, really want that items today try to add some cheapest NEW PC+ item to cart and see what happens.

That's probably the maximum discount, yes.

Last update I'll post since this game is not fun:

I have had every permutation of the $2.99 sale.

It worked as expected with and without a new item.

It worked as expected with and without a new item for multiple days in a row.

It worked as expected with and without a new item but only every second day (48 hours).

It worked with the items going into the cart at $2.99, but prices jumped to full with a new item addition (a paid, debut item, not a freebie).

It didn't work with or without a new item (prices stayed at $9.95).

It's now been 3 days in a row of the full price, which is the most consistent this non-sale has been for me since it launched.

I have tried every day of the sale and it only worked twice at the very beginning. Since then, it's been exactly the same-- add a new item to the cart and $2.99 items jump to $9.95 (except briefly last night they were $8.95.)

I'm just getting back online, but want to tell you that happened to me shortly before 8am this morning (I know, because I shopped then got offline.)  So that's not an afternoon thing, at least it wasn't for me. It was within ten minutes of each other, too. I got lucky before they found it and fixed it, at least on my first order :)

Yes, I could do that, but I would lose my 30% Loyalty Discount on the new item  and also on the Countdown Sale items, and I would also have to hope that Daz will let me move the products over to my primary account.  Life at Daz is complicated enough without trying to run two or more accounts

Curious to know how this gets fixed so quickly when DAZ is losing money because a sale isn't working, but when custoomers have consistently told you over the past week they are being overcharged on your "Sale items for 2.99" it takes days of looking into it and still no resoolution?

The $2.99 sale worked for me once, I think, and I only gave it a token try after it didn't. All the other promotions worked well enough, though, so I still got some primo stuff at good markdowns (good for me,anyway), and paid with 30% off gift cards, so I'm not really complaining. Well, maybe a little, still spent too much, as usual.

Although this was quite a while ago, and only a theoretical question, Daz told me this was not possible, or at least something they would not do.
