It would’ve been nice if her base body had more freckles. They sort of end on her face. She’s a nice looking figure, some of the promos make her face appear lighter than the rest of her.
if she's a gamer girl, why nothing in the package gamer related?
I love the great deal on the HD...I don't love the HD itself though; barely adds any more details.
If Bridget has a male counterpart (probably not), could he please be Asian--and not just one of the characters but actually the core? I mean, an Asian male gamer makes sense to me. And we can have our first interracial core "couple."
She's reminding me of a character from a video game that's due out this Friday.
I'm not bowled over by Bridget 8. I though I'd check out the $50 off deal, so I added a Starter Bundle to my cart which had 2 add ons and the Bridget 8 Pro Bundle, and the Bridget 8 Pro Bundle shot up to $80. I removed everything from my cart. There is one outfit that I do like. Although I'm torn about the kitty outfit.
RE: No Purple Box deal--
Remember it's March Madness. *Everything* is a purple box deal right now without a purple box.
Looks like Karen Allen circa Raiders of the Lost Ark to me. I like her look but.... The clothes are not my thing, hairstyles are okay but nothing to go out of my way for, and the characters, although nice-looking women, come with the HD built in (rather than optional) which limits my ability to back-convert them.
Great render Diva!
Sadly she does nothing for me. I am not a fan of freckled skin, have 2 quality sets already if I need them and she brings nothing unique to my gene pool.
Users are always complaining there are not enough "normal" looking characters, well to me she it pretty boring normal looking, like someone I would see daily out and about so she should sell well.
Go figure, I am on vacation this week, have extra money to spare and nothing to splurge on, LOL.
Someone knows where i can have the glasses Bridget have ?
So one odd thing, she has a separate brow prop, but all of her materials have brows? Shouldn't there be a set of materials with no brows for use with this?
The glasses come packaged with the base figure.
Thanks
what is the lowest price that can be obtained for the Pro bundle without using gift card or coupons? Just the price with current MM offerings. Its $34.01 in my cart right now.
Totally agree with the "girl next door" vibe, though the first hints I thought of was Evangeline Lilly
I just bought the Bridget base character and I got the HD add-on in the special March Madness offering for buyng something in the last three days. I used my $6 coupon and the price came to $13.92 but was worth $84.90. I never buy pro bundles or starter bundles for new characters. Too many things in them are things I don't want. The break-down: Bridget $12.44 and her HD add-on $1.37. That's a real bargain in my opinion.
Exactly what I was thinkin ;) LOL

if she's a gamer girl, why nothing in the package gamer related?
I was wondering about that too, it would have been nice to include a modern PC with a gaming keyboard, a modern gaming console, headphones with a mic, a combination low-cut T-shirt and pouty/shrieking expressions that she uses while streaming to get guys to subscribe and donate to her channel, etc. ;)
Goes back to what I said a while ago about themed bundles; I just wish more of them weren't such random collections of content. We get randomized stuff every night, I'd be more tempted to buy a bundle if the products included did all share a general theme.
YES ! Even the clothes are so far from gaming .. even current times. some gaming poses for tablets, phones, PC, etc. would be good as well. At least the one set has headphones
The only thing even remotely gaming related. And nothing in the add on products .. or even current MM items. A total miss on that one.
There are TWO HD characters in the bundle which is unusual. Its normally one HD and one non-HD. Plus the HD figure for cheap is a plus.
Most of the stuff in the pro bundle I could use, other than the poses and the fantasy type clothing.
Really laughing at the hissy fits over Bridget.
The first thing when I saw her was nothing stood out and in 3D models when nothing stands out that's a good job. I didn't think too young, too old, too petite, too supermodel, too fat, too wrinkled, too white, too feminine or any of those things. It was just a very competent 3D model of a person that someone storyboarding or writing a novel would buy.
Can't wait to see what she looks like when you run her through Altern8.
Still debating the Pro Bundle, but personally, I like her.

She's a lovely character, but she doesn't feel like much of a variation on other, similar base characters so I can't really justify the purchase.
One of the issues I see with representation in the base characters is that there are several variations on white characters who have similar body types and face shapes, but whose bundles cover a range of tropes. "Gamer girl" isn't physical description, so the character herself could be almost anyone--and she's a Hollywood-pretty white lady with enormous glasses and freckles because those are the nerd girl trope signifiers. It's very common for mainstream character design to consist of slight variations on the same formula for "attractive woman" with really obvious signifiers attached.
To be clear, leaning heavily on tropes is what I'd expect DAZ to do with base characters/pro bundles. They're meant to be something you can build on and refine. But Bridget is a gamer girl; Eva is a tough action girl; Olympia is a dignified action girl; Stephanie is a pop star; Penny is a movie star. There's a rebellious teen girl and a trendy teen girl, etc. That's getting pretty granular with character types, which wouldn't be a problem except that for characters who aren't pretty white ladies, the tropes they embody tend to be connected to their race, age, or other indelible physical traits.
If you only have one Asian Woman, she has to include items from several cultures. She has to be "as traditional as she is modern," delicate yet fierce, etc. The more specific a signature character's physical appearance, the more likely it seems to be that their description will emphasize how they can be literally anything you need them to be--X but Y, A yet B. And because pro bundles do lean heavily on basic tropes, it's easy to reduce a non-white character to common race-based stereotypes. (I should note that that's a problem independent of whether or not there are more characters--Latonya actually does have a specific personality/character type, but it's a trope that many Black women have described as harmful.)
I'm sure DAZ creates what sells--although as a marketer I've definitely worked with clients who thought they knew what sells and what doesn't and it just happened to coincide with preconcieved biases instead of data, so I'm wary of assuming that what we see automatically = good business. Bridget is fun and I don't think there's anything wrong with liking and buying her. This is just my feedback on why I personally don't prioritize buying pro bundles like this.
I really like her TBH. Not glam, just cool in a realistic way, and no spray-on tan. Also love the freckles. Awesome! Just my two cents. Enjoy ! !
The characters look great; not sold at all the the bundle.
Yup. Agree. That's why I grab this Feature Daz item for the $50 of freebies.

Gamer girl mode broken.
This is a pretty good "gamer girl" set. It comes with a variety of glasses and a variety of hand-held games, plus lots of other fun extras.

Wait - gamers can't have curves? Shit, man, I didn't get the memo! Do I have to have lipo, or sell my XBox? ;)
