Remote control?  If you are remote, you aren't going to enjoy any of those features.  Unless, of course, you surprise a friend who's sitting in the chair.

Castors do not provide swivel, that's built into the top of the center mast, at the seat connection.  But five arms do provide more stability than four, helps keep from tipping over.  It's not foolproof, though...you can tip over a chair with five legs.  They should have angled it a bit, you can only see four in this photo!  wink

    Dana

    no swivel?

i spent half my day re-arranging monitors, desktops, desks ... is not comfy  doh
not happy with the stand on the benq
i miss my poor dead monitor

I didn't say it wouldn't swivel...just that the legs are not responsible for the swivel!

    Dana

would be funny to remotely turn on the massage feature laugh tee hee, next time my cousin comes over. if i get that chair.  i only wanted the heating, but seems the chairs come with both features

...wouldn't bother me at all.  The massage would be great for my achy bones and joints (though I'd probably doze off after about 30 min).

    136$, not a bad price.

...nope have to find a brick and mortar store that sells them.

I just use a 15$ one as like I mentioned I don't get or make that many calls to warrrant paying 40$ 50$ or 60$ a month and rarely even use all my minutes up before the 30 day expiration (unless I have to call some government office that puts me on hold for hours).  The local Safeway had a few for the phone I have, but they were all 45$ or more. If I could afford that much, I would have just kept the unlimited plan I had.

Sometimes I still miss ol' "Ma Bell". They gave you the phone, and you paid a very nominal flat charge for unlimited local service, The only way to run up the bill was by making a lot of long distance calls.

Is that the Red Self Destruct Button in the middle of the remote control?  If so, that's really convenient... Mine is located next to the basement light switch and every time I look for the light switch in the dark, I end up tripping the SDS and then I have to go running to reset the whole thing... One of these days I'm going to make the delay longer than twenty seconds... It usually takes me 16 seconds to get to the reset control.

I have Republic only $15 per month for unlimited calls and text but no data. I can get data only when on a WiFi network.

Anyone know the answer to this... In your profile, what is the difference between your "picture" and your "thumbnail"?

In mine, my avatar shows up for both.

I am trying a new word processor program for Windows.  Unfortunately, the new program has trouble opening big documents.  I'll continue to use my other word processor to edit my documents.

I think you can use a larger picture, then crop it to get the thumbnail

  • Non-complaint:  I went out for Birthday lunch today.  RedLobster: salmon, shrimp, lobster tail, lobster langostino & mashed potatoes, broccoli, & free ice cream dessert (birthday bonus).  Mmmm.  Lobster.  smiley

'Nother non-complaint:  On the way back after some window shopping in the now nearly empty local Sears department store, my car radio was playing another Tchaikovsky symphony, however, this time I quickly recognized it as his first symphony, "Winter Dreams".  A very active, exciting, melodic and dynamic piece.  Pretty good for his first symphony.  I drove around out of my way long enough to hear the whole thing.  Again, I'd forgotten how beautiful and powerful Tchaikovsky symphonies are.  I must make an effort to come back to the great classics and reabsorb them.

Tchaikovsky Symphony #1 ("Winter Dreams"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqD-X2_tXq0  (big, bold)

    2nd movement:  12:25 (serene)

    3rd movement: 25:58  (sleepy)

4th movement: 33:30  (starts slow, builds to explosive, fantastic finish)

...nice plan 25$ for 2 GB (whcih pretty much covers what I need for checking bus times, getting directions to places and bouying transit E-Tickets)  + 5$ one time for a new SIM card.  The downside, they don't support the LG phone I have (which is unlocked) so I'd have to buy a new one which I cannot afford, partiocularly as I will be 134$ poorer starting next month.

Checked with Cosnumer Cellular (also 25$ a month for 2 GB Data and the SIM card is free) and they also mention using your old phone but don't have a list of supported models. I have to do some net research on this as evne the person I chatted with wasn't sure.

  • Non-complaint:  My old landlord(ess) dropped by with some shrimp cocktail and cheese, crackers & pepperoni.  I opened my bottle of Moët Brut champagne and we proceeded to fuzz out for a couple hours.  All in all, a good birthday day.

The house lady has turned the whole house against me, all because I asked if it was okay for staff to take you electronics.   She thinks I turned against her because she asked me to clean my room.  That is not the case.  There is nothing I seem to do that is right in this house.

I am missing a piece of mail.  One that probably contains a controversial check.  I cannot ask what happened because she would blow up and make things worse for me.

...you really really need to do something about this. Get an advocate, go talk to your county/state DHS office. That place is becoming "poisonous".

If I had the resoruces I'd be on a flight tomorrow to speak to your county/state DHS department on your behalf and get you an advocate who would work for you.

At the very least arrange to get yourself moved in at your mum's for a bit. and get out of that hellhole.

They also give you a 20% discount if you are an AARP member.  If you go with them, tell them I sent you...I"ll get some kind of bonus.   blush  (probably will need to supply my phone number...hmmmm)

The lobster tail usually is...unless they've changed it since the last time I went there.  They closed my local Red Lobster years ago.   sad
