maybe add an emssive shader to it so it will be light and maybe use a geoshell to make it look moist?

geoshell on cornbread ... sort of like a frosting.  corn muffins arent a sweet tho, never put anything but melty butter on em

...do you have a microwave?  If so put a paper towel over them put them in and set it on a low - medium setting for about 30 seconds or so. I do that to soften hard crust rolls.

...looking out the window, the haze is thicker today.  Thought it might be fog as it is overcast and we've had a few foggy mornings/evenings, so checked the local weather service sites and there is a "moderate" "unhealthy" air quality alert as well as confirmation it is smoke from the wildfires that is causing the hazy conditions.

They said on the local news here that a trail of smoke from those fires has made it all the way to the East coast!  I guess it's a bit north, haven't noticed it myself.

...here in Portland, the ruling of what constitutes a "service" animal seems to be rather blurred to the point of being easily abused.  If such an animal is designated so by a medical professional, it needs to have some kind of official and easily identifiable collar or vest and be registered with the city/county as such. The only dogs I see wearing such vests on buses, trams, in food marts, and even restaurants are the traditional guide dogs which have been allowed in such areas for decades.  Without some form identifying marker, it is impossible to tell if the animal is a registered service one, or just a pet someone want's to bring aboard or into an establishment.

Same here, really. I had to ask my hubby to help me with that earlier post because I too was confused with the difference and although we have a handicap plackard in our vehicle they don't give you those for emotional support. I think like everything else, it gets abused. Our dogs are not allowed in our kitchen never mind a restaurant. Can you imagine bring a pig to a restaurant lol. The only place we bring our dogs is to the vet.

is there a stistic on how many people have passed away waiting for disability?

I asked my hubby's attorney the exact same question. Except I was more direct. I asked how many disabled people have they murdered be denying treatment and proper care. He said that's a good question. I said I'm going to write a book, paperback and kindle, give the kindle away for the lowest price they'll let me, and put a survey and my email on the first page so Kindle Previewers don't even need to buy the book to respond. He said you should and send me a copy. I truley believe adjusters and insurance companies are getting away with murder, and I have a degree in insurance (niot required to be an adjuster) and never thought I'd utter those words.

Some people eat Low sugar  low sodium  all their life. You just have to learn a new way of cooking/eating.  I got so used to keeping sodium/simple carb ingredients to a minimum for himself that I still do it now automatically.

I was told I will get the biggest surprise in my life.  Doubt it is yet another person giving up on me after a half hearted little effort attempt to help me.  That is not a surprise.  I am used to people pretending to help but not really then giving up.  What would be a big surprise is someone who can give real help in figuring out the heart of the issue, other than patient heal yourself.  (Not thyself as that is too personal in my opinion.)  I am sick of trying to figure out what the freak is wrong with me without any help.  I am sick of people giving up when their attempts at helping proves to be the same true and failed ways of the previous ones who try to help.

if it is going to be the biggest surprise in my life, it will be someone who genuinely knows how to help to talk with me not at me or behind my back and then have everyone work with that help.

Another eviction is not the biggest surprise in my life.  That has happened before when I had barely any support team.  I guess the biggest surprise in my life that was bad was hearing that I will never see Grandma Karen again, then the eviction from the apartment in Richmond.  That was mainly due to being behind on rent, I think.

Complaint:  I never did get my new bedroom nightstand out of the car.  My rationality returned and reminded me that I was already just teetering on the edge of budget busting without weighing myself down with another major expense. no  So, I returned it to the store the next day and asked for a refund.

Non-complaint:  The store gave me my refund without question and without restocking fee.  yes  And I have had my adrenalin rush for the week and I've saved myself $200 too. smiley

I'll just continue to attend household sales and auctions and will eventually find, for less money, a nightstand that will probably be of better quality anyway. enlightened

'Nother non-complaint:  Often while waiting for DAZ renders to render, I pop up the computer's solitare game and play a few.  I've just passed my 500th game and my success rate has risen from 11% to 16%.  Yay! yes

Yet another reduction in my monthly food allotment card means another couple days of buying groceries out of pocket.  Don't understand this one as the 2.8% living cost adjustment doesn't kick in for another month and a half...which will completely go to an increase in rent beginning in February.

...OK, you definitely need to get out of there. This is sounding more like a prison than a group home.

Denying you the ability to pursue a creative outlet (which many find therapeutic and is often prescribed for people to pursue) is just plain wrong. Aren't they are supposed to be helping you overcome depression and anxiety? Sounds more like they are trying to reinforce those feelings by the way they are treating you. Really you need to get into contact with your county and/or state social services about this.

The more I hear of this the more I feel they are purposely being malicious and abusive.

Perhaps a bit larger.  I worked for many years at high pay and reached my maximum SS deduction cut off, early every fall.  So, I probably get a bit larger check than many but I started taking SS payments at 62 so it's not as big as it could be if I'd waited to 65 or 67.  In my current situation (which is actually quite reasonable, and after paying my fixed obligations I have about $300 discretionary cash each month.  HOWEVER, as I've been moaning about for the last 6 months I seem to be already about $300 in the red each time I get my SS deposit.  I manage to make ends meet by dipping into my savings when absolutely necessary, and replacing it when I can, but savings have shrunk considerably. sad  But come winter, I won't be going out driving more than about once a week instead of twice.  That means less gasoline, fewer meals out, fewer adventures to spend on.  Now, if I could just stop visiting on-line auctions and Amazon. frown

Actually I'm quite satisfied with my possessions now.  Most of my collections have reached a point of completion or saturation of display space.  During the last 10 years I have slowly worked my way up from zero furniture to having good condition, if not new, proper furniture in the kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom/office.  I have a nice TV, DVD, and VCR and a significant classical CD and video DVD  collection.  I'm not planning on IRAYing my DAZ stuff ever, so I really don't need a new computer right now.  I very rarely ever buy any thing from DAZ anymore except for freebies.  I now have a proper bed and mattress in my bedroom but am still storing my clothes in cardboard boxes and a collapsible fabric closet.  Which means I'm still in the market for a good nightstand, a chest of drawers, and a nice armoire, and then I can die happy with an adequate number and quality of toys. indecision

Hubby and I worked for same firm. When he went for early SSD at early fifties, the clerk asked if he was a movie star because we live close to LA, LOL. He often gets mistaken for Diamond Dallas Page (the wrestler). I guess getting $2500 plus a month is not typical for someone retired in California. Truth is we'd give anything to put time back and say no to surgery.

...yeah I managed to qualify for Disability so I got a little more than straight SS if I simply retired at 62. I also have a retroactive case still in process that could go as far back as January of 2013. but most likely would probably only get benefits from January 2014 (when I no longer was collecting UI) until November 2016 which would still be a nice savings egg. Currently I have no savings as the last job I worked for nearly two decades paid crap wages so I was pretty much living month to month with about a two paycheque cushion in the bank (that dried up after I lost my job and then had my UI cut off like everyone else did following December of 2013). The big bite out of my benefits is rent which is 50% of my monthly income (that's Portland for you, even low income housing is expensive here).

Barring any more meltdowns I pretty much have the computer gear I need to keep doing my illustration work as well as live in a nice area of town (motorists here notwithstanding) with a lot of places in walking distance and excellent access to transit when I need to go somewhere further. Don't need much more save for a mini food processor as it is getting hard to chop up veggies and spices like ginger for my Asian cooking one of those old fashioned carpet sweepers (the carpeted area is not large enough to warrant a big expensive and noisy vacuum cleaner), and one of those high back chairs for my workstation area (not having a car makes it difficult to get one at an office furniture liquidator and the ones I see online are too expensive).

Too late,  she has basically threatened me with the idea of eviction and I do not know where else to go.  It is not a good environment to live with my stepfather (but living with mum is fine, but my stepfather must have some ocd or some controlling issues.)

Non-complaint:  I went out to breakfast.  The snow had stopped and a friend braved the accumulated snow and picked me up.  I had to walk in 5 inches of wet snow (without having found my boots yet) a half block to get into his truck but we drove to the next town and had a good breakfast.

Complaint:  Now after being home for two hours I look out the window and it's snowing, hard, again. frown  Arghhh...
