NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE! :) Way to go, Joe. Beautiful work, wonderful product, and beautiful render! :)
Now that looks quite good there Joe! Rock on!
When I 1st saw the product I was thinking of that rock dude from the last Thor movie. However, it looks outstanding for the Thing as well.
Excellent! :)
Joe, also i want to thank you for your generosity over the years. You have the best freebies of all time. :)
Thanks for this product! I was just wondering how I'd ever by able to 'kitbash' anything resembling the Thing and now I don't have too.
Here is my render using your product. I prefer your non-shiny Thing better but I will have to see how to adjust the surfaces slider to make the Thing more matte & very little glass.
I was playing around in DAZ and this familiar fellow appeared!
Check it out in my gallery here (https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/648966/).
SKELETOR LIVES! :)
Joe's Thing (no, not that thing) reminded me I had an F4 around. Much thanks to Joe for the Thing's texture for Freak 4 (which I repurposed for Genesis).

Nice one, Servant! :)
Here is my go at Colossus, using the new Brute figure and flattop and the Massive shaders
Hey RKane did you see my kitbash of Cyborg from a while back?
Yeah, it's great. Where'd ya get the headgear from?
So the arm canon and the headgear are actually 3D objects that I parented. I actually had to cut teh face in half using the geometry editor I think.
Very impressive work.
Thanks!
Like that allot!
I finally got my computer to manage to iRay render the cover from the Sep 1975 issue of The Human Torch #7. It didn't want to cooperate and well I was distracted by the Thing fascimile product being bundled with the Brute 8 Pro Bundle.
It's OK render considering I used only off the shelf products from the DAZ store some of which, life the Liquide Pack, are being used for flames and expose the limitations whichout bespoke modeling and postwork that a scene like this one would benefit from.
The Human Torch #7 - Fire vs Water!
But what was the mechanical item or robot face you used for his Cyborg half?
Thanks! It took nearly a week of tweaking the figure (I made him slightly taller and leaner than the base Brute 8) and the shaders on the costume to get things to look right. I am pretty satisfied with it.
Looks nice. Only thing I would tweak would be Namor's head, and turn it slightly so he's reacting to Torch throwing the fireball at him. He looks unphased, and like he's just looking straight ahead.
Thanks. I agree. His entire body needs to be rotated, backwards & towards the Torch I think the best way to to that. See how one of the wings is not visible in the render. I also plan on flattening the scales on his trunks I was unsure though how much to rely on the comic book cover for human flexiblity & proportions.
Namor looks awsome from another angle though. Brandon for Dwayne 8 makes a great Namor! I will render from that angle & post.
So there might have been a better way to do this, but here is what you see in that image.

I think that last one is where I got the 3D obj pieces for helmet and canon.
So the under skeleton is the Cyborg 8 and I hid certain bones where necessary. On top of that is Darius but only his face, neck, chest and arms are visible. And he is wearing the Cyclops Suit. I applied shaders to that to make all metal instead of camo. And the canon and headpiece are parented as well with same shader.
I think I had to use an opacity map on Darius face to hide specific parts so that helmet would line up properly and use geo editor on it as well. He actually poses just fine with minor tweaks as you might expect with any other kitbash figure. I am just showing normal standing shots.
The one problem I have had routinely with using 3D obj files is that I don't know how to properly unwrap them in order to create legit textures (normal, bump, disp, etc.) for them. So I ended up having to use which ever metal shaders I had in DAZ instead. So it's not perfect but works well enough I guess.
I look great so awesome job there. :)
Thank you, RKane!
It felt a little sacrilegious to do F4 and have them just standing around. Jack "The King" Kirby could evoke power like no one else. So I figured I might as well do an action scene.
