I concur! ;)
Here's another render of my G8M Superman, posed as if he'd just landed on the studio floor.
I don't even like the costume in the books, to be honest. Glossy is just as preposterous as spandex. :) *chuckle* I like the movie outfits the best, honestly. It makes the most sense, to me. Tough dark leather hard to cut, stab, or damage for the rough and tumble kind of guys they are and the work they do.
Okay, I deleted the old bikini and gloves because I wasn't happy with them and made new ones. I redid all the UV's so they are now all on the same page, easier to texture. I did some quick tests with the cape, I will be able to rig it to work. I'm going to take a break from this and make something else.
Great work! Looking forward to this! :)
What I found with rigging capes, which was mind boggling for me, is that with the character on the ground it was fine but when I had the character rotated in a "flight pose" the cape pulled away from the collar bones for what ever reason. Never been able to get that to work for me. If you figure THAT out let us know! lol Looks good!
This is the SuperSuit I never released to market for Dusk when I realized that my sales would not reflect the amount of time I put into the project so I shelved it but I did do a couple of renders using it... this is one... has the cape doing it's thing.... Electro Lad for Dusk from Hivewire!
Thanks RKane_1
Hey RAMWolff, you stated, "the cape pulled away from the collar bones for what ever reason."
My cape on the first try I used the auto rig and fitted it to Genesis3 and (it did exactly what you are sayin) so the next time I run it through autorig I didn't fit it to Genesis3; Instead I fit it to the shirt and it worked perfectly. Your outfit looks great! Fitting the cape to your outfit instead of Dusk should fix the collar bones. Add/remove bones and adjust falloff/weights ot the bends and add a few morphs here and there.
Cool, I'll try to remember that. I've kinda shelved most of my clothing projects and am concentrating on character creation (skins and morphs) for the time being. Just hope that DAZ Studio 5.0, when ever it comes along, will have some improvements to rigging tools. Weight mapping is NOT my favorite thing, I'd rather wash windows! lmao
Vladmir 8, Chuck 8, Old London, Electric Fogaloo... so many pieces. :)
Joker by Gaslight.
much improved!
Oh, I never cared for Wolverine one iota, he has got to be as one dimensionally as boring as the Hulk but that's a good job on his & Storm's uniform. Storm was my favorite in the #95+ issues of X-Men but the original 4 X-Men remain my favorites. I much prefer the original comic book uniforms though and not the new movie uniforms where they equate cool and modern with looking like they've dressed themselves in the leather from their luxury car seats.
The X-Men movie outfits did look a lot better on screen than what yellow and black spandex could deliver, IMHO, though.
Regarding the Superman, his likeness for christopher Reeves is uncannily good. The hair is a little to poofy on the sides for my tasts and I dislike the medallions. I would get rid of them as it is not matching with either the classical nor the movie Superman, but if this is your own take, then okay. If so, I would go ahead and make them gold colored, not just yellow.
Pose is good but I would give him a little more muscle. He is Superman, after all. :)
BTW, I welcome critiques on my Joker by Gaslight piece above. :)
Cable
Ironman
Hulk and Caiera
another shot of the happy couple (yesterdays layout was kinda boring)
Liar. That's you and some green guy.
Psst... Rawn *is* the green guy ;)
I dont think anyone wants to see me in an outfit like that ;)
I am not that kind of pretty LOL
Given his passing today, I'd like to see someone depict Stan Lee for this thread.
Sincerely,
Bill
Funny you post this as I am roughing out a version of him based on floyd. Still needs a bit of work.
I don't have time today to finish it off or make a nice shot of it...but I will tomorrow for sure.
Dang!
I'd say he's already "good enough for government work"!
Sincerely,
Bill
Lemme seeif I can drink enough, without passing out*, to get you there.
*or dying of liver failure
Yup. Positive ID.
VERY VERY close Rawn. WOW....
Would consider sharing the morph settings when you can?
R.I.P. Stan "the Man" Lee. He will always be an icon to me.
