Well, since Leroy Squab put the bug in my head... not exactly superheroes, but certainly a fixture of my Saturday mornings back in '68...

    "Fantastic Voyagers"

Gorgeous. If I had to suggest anything, it's that I think Busby was a little smaller and nerdier, but that was a long time ago and my memory's not what it used to be.

Fair enough assessment. I was walking a line, wanting to evoke the original characters without getting too "cartoony," and Busby was, for better or worst, the most overtly cartoony member of the team. I may have been overly restrained to keep from getting too over the top with him. At the same time, I think it'd be possible to bring out a bit more of his inner nerd via expression. As for his size, the main reference I used to gauge proportions was the opening credit sequence, which shows Busby and Erica almost exactly the same height, with Kidd taller, and Guru just TOWERING over the rest. I tried to honor that, while still staying a little more "real-world", so I scaled Erica at 5'6, Busby a skosh taller at 5'7.5", Kidd at 6 feet even, and Guru at 6'4", though his lankiness is enhanced by the slender frame in combination with his height. Add in Erica's wide-stanced pose stealing a bit from her total height, and Busby and Jonathan's boots having thicker soles than Dr. Lane's, as well as the perspective of the composition, and perhaps the relative heights don't come across as well as I 'd intended.

Is the Voyager model available anywhere? Can you show us more of the ship? It was one of my favorite ships from the sixties, along with the flying sub and the Spindrift.

Again, great pict, thanks for sharing it. If you have any more, I'd love to see them.

    -- Walt Sterdan

The Voyager is one of my favorite ships, too. The model came from my awkward tinkerings in Hexagon, and is still very much an unfinished piece. The mesh is kind of all over the place, due to my limited modeling skills/experience. There's no UV mapping, because I'm nowhere near ready to head down that rabbithole. And the major point is, it's just a shell; there's no interior. Which can be a bit of an issue, when you've got a windshield that's approximately 80% of the nose of the vessel, and a big transparent dome on the roof. Anyway, this is what it is, so far...

(I expect some time I'll get around to doing an interior, and maybe a proper miniaturization platform, complete with soda fountain emitter towers).

    Leroy Squab
 Jeez, I’d be happy to take the blame for the great job you did on this, Equinoxx! :-) I remember this one myself! Well done!
Awesome job on those Titans too! (pardon me, I’m playing a bit of catch-up here)

Thanks. Hey, you opened with Micro Ventures. Coming back with Fantastic Voyage seems the logical response.

At least, until someone tries to bring Inch High, Private Eye into the conversation...

You people are so old, you're like my parents age or something.

I'm working on an IDW style shredder costume for Genesis. I also made Leo his own unique straps.

What's this new fangled "lawn" thing you speak of? Would it go well with my cave and the mammoth bones?

Mostly rigged, that transfer button is a dream. Just had to do the cape and little tweaks to the greeves and hand blades.

Looks like Shredder's almost ready to go! (Yeah, loving that transfer button myself) Great job, Joe.

Excellent Wolverine mask and pic, Rich!

Because I'm so old :) I decided to do one of the oldest superheroes, one of those proto-supers... a superhero from before they had a word for it... Edgar Rice Burroughs' John Carter of Mars. I have not yet seen the Disney movie.

    Cool fractal landscape.

Here's an early Shredder beauty shot.

Great shot, Joe! Really love the materials, lighting and POV.

...and thanks. Largely this was an excuse to play with Mandelbulbs (love that fractal program!) although it was another excuse to play with Hexagon as well (buildings, JC's sword, chest harness and belt).

Say, can anyone point me in the direction of ear protectors for M4 and V4? You know, those special ear cups that protect our characters from Wet Willies? I have the Flash winged ones but I was hoping for something without decorations.

    Thank in advance!

    Thanks, MADMANMIKE.

The hard drive I had my Runtimes loaded on died and I've been trying to rebuild. I forgot about those options you listed.

    Thanks again!

No problem, I kinda know what that's like. When I finally got a new computer and upgraded to D|S 4.6 I bit the bullet and started using the DIM.. It was terrible; none of the files were organized and everything wasn't where it was supposed to be to work. I then had to painstakingly rebuild my old organization of runtimes back to the 150+ GB it once was..

So I took a crack at making Wolverine from the Genesis Doll and Daz supersuit the boots are from expansion and the mask is a modified version of JoeQuick's Winged Domino mask from his free Golden age set (I made new Material zones for it in Hexagon 2.5) and the claws are the M4 ones from Hero morph, the color mapping is mine the under textures are much from the same sets I used for cap and the data pad is a freebie from Share CG as well that I remapped.

Playing old school Marvel Super Heroes; here's my character, GrayHawk, an obscenely wealthy playboy with a supersuit that has a winged jetpack with "Amazing" Flight, "typical" Sound Manipulation, "Typical" Recovery, and Psionic Detection. And he's good with blunt weapons, hence the fancy collapsing staff.

Genesis, supersuit, Davo's Backpack set for a jetpack, Davo's GVCS for the staff, and the wings are Dreamer Wings.

    Hi guys,
I'm hoping some one here could help me with Joequicks GoldenAge super suit from sharecg.com. I'm having problems with the goldenAge Materials. I open up the goldenage suit in Dazstudio (which works fine) and then go to the GoldenAge materials folder but can't see the thumbnails in the preview. I've looked inside the materials folder in explorer and there are .mt5 mat files and png files in there.

I searched the Daz forums and it looks like the problem is with Dazstudio not playing nice with the Poser .mt5 mat files. I tried changing the .mt5 files to pz2 which now shows the icons in Dazstudio, but when I click on the icon it does not apply any textures to the suit.

I have a programming friend to help me look at editing the .mt5 but will have to get back later to share the results.

What I wanted to know, is there anyone out who is successfully using The GoldenAge suit Materials on Daz 4.6.2.118 using window 8.1 and what did you need to do to get it going?

    Thanks,
    michael
