Oh HECK no. But thanks for the compliment! Several years ago, I did supply a comprehensive list of categories, along with input from SereneNight (who has an amazing system of organization.) And I did categorize a lot of things. But it quickly got to the point of "can't keep up with it." So I use the DIM "i" and zip to the ReadMe to find things, as I only use Content Library. Or Ati's app and get the ReadMe on the product page.
The things I categorize are the light sets, the Iray Uber Base, Slosh's hair product, etc- utility type things so I don't have to scroll forever in Content Library. What I AM organized with this year is creating a folder (Daz Renders 2018) with a file folder for each product I have rendered that has the render and the duf file in it. I name them Character/Hair/Outfit and put the Set second if there is one. Easy to skim and see what I've already showcased.
But so far as the studio products getting categorized- nope. Also gave up because I don't buy the older stuff anymore, so products are usually located logically now by either the vendor or product name if it's not on a ReadMe. I do suggest buyers create a separate file entirely of their other-stores products, and not mix them in with the Daz products.
I'm not even sure what I bought today. There were a few core items that were an absolute must, but the rest was kind of a blur with the cart jenga :D

So, I didn't heed the warnings about trying to use a Plat Club membership coupon with the Girl 8 sale...
It killed the addon discounts, and the addon products actually went up in price, above what is shown on the Girl 8 page.. Removing the coupon didn't reset the prices either... even after removing and re-adding the addon products.
So, I opened up another 'instance' of my shopping cart, cleared the cart in the second instance, and rebuilt it using the first instance to right-click on all of the products (open in new window) and re-adding them to the cart. With 26 items in my cart, and the lag I routinely see when loading Daz pages, yeah that took a bit of time...
So, as others have said, unless they fix this, let me echo what has been said before - DO NOT add Plat Club coupons to the Girl 8 sale!
That sounds like a normal cart glitch to me. It happens a lot, in my experience. Adding one thing can totally change the prices. Refreshing the cart can fix it but sometimes it doesn't. Taking the item that you added that changed the prices dramatically can sometimes fix it but other times it doesn't fix it at all. Often times rebuilding the cart is the way to go but sometimes THAT doesn't even fix it. The cart gets wonky - it happens very frequently and it's not just a coupon issue.
The Plat Club coupon worked fine for me for the Girl 8 sale and it took $6 off the sale's total like it was supposed to.
The extra 30% off today's new releases for owners of The Girl 8 Pro is not working. I purchased the Girl 8 Pro yesterday and I am not seeing any extra discount,
I can confirm. I bought the Girl 8 Pro bundle and am not getting the extra discount. If I add the Pro Bundle to my cart (again) it does show the extra discount. But yeah, I'm only seeing the 30% intro price otherwise.
I have tested, confirmed and reported.
Yeah I tried refreshing a few times, that didn't work out. The month is young, so I'll probably just use the coupons on other stuff. But thanks to the 3xtra 30% off sale today, I'll probably pull the trigger on Girl 8 pro today. I finally have enough products in my cart to take full advantage of the discounts, although a couple of those I'm kinda 'meh' about.
I LOVE that the Besties for Girl 8 comes with the 'retail packaging' doll box! That is just too cute!

Well I didn't calculate it, but they did change to 51% off.
Mine did.
When I add something from the iconic sale that is supposed to take $10 off $50 Daz Originals, it only takes it off G2 items and not G3 or older G8 items. So G2 items are showing as $0 but it only took about $6.00 off because it's not discounting the other items...

What items are you trying to get? I checked with a few G8 items and it worked for me
OK, so I bought Girl 8 Pro about an hour ago. I have Bestie in my cart, but the discount is showing at only 30%, with no additional 30% off... I've tried refreshing a few times, and removing and re-adding her to my cart, no joy.
I'm similar in my setup. Every time I install something 3rd party it gets indexed into the categories before I close the zip file.
DIM installs are a bit looser. I'll flag the product entry as NEW, then come back and index them when I get some free time. Sorting out Poses takes the most time, as I subdivide the categories a lot and I typically have to use the pose to tell where to send it to.
As an example of poses

many folders are subdivided by character, and many also have a moves-to division for things that move you around the scene.
And of course, a pose can fall into multiple categories.
Wow, that is crazy. I can only imagine the amount of work seperating all those poses.
Yeah. I generally save them for last, load up a figure of the right generation and go through them generation at a time.
It's also why I have a giant backlog of stuff I haven't installed yet. But I figure it's better than installing it and losing track of it so it never gets used.
But if it isn't installed, then it still isn't getting used. I hate not having stuff not installed. I usually install an addon, then start up DS and try it out so I can see how it works and where it is installed (I never use DIM). I then move on to the next one and do the same. Granted there are some addons that if i don't use then regularly and they are installed in an out of the way location, then they don't get used for awhile, but I guess that is the price of having so many addons, LOL
I coulnd't do that. I very rarely start a render with any idea what it's going to be. On most of mine I just dive into either smart content all products, or my content diretory that is just the assets purchased elsewhere and browse until something catches my eye, load it, then go back to browsing until something else catches my eye. Rinse and repeat until I get an idea where the image is going.
The additional 30% off in the Bestie sale is still not working for me.

What happened with the Girl sale? My cart went from less than $100 to over $200.
I'm guessing you mean all the Gen8/3/2 items you had in your cart as part of the $30/65/100 free?
A lot of eligible items were priced at 58% off because their PAs were in the Floyd 8 Sale - that one finally finished last night, so they are back at 30% off for PC+ members. So your $30/65/100 goes a lot less far this morning.

I was wondering the same thing. I missed out on several things I wanted to buy cheaper. They have just been postponed until they are on big discounts again. Anyway, at least I caught Minami yesterday on Rarestone's flash sale. :)
When I started out I just installed everything as I got it and promissed myself to try it out when I could, and I lost track of everything. After getting my new computer I started to at least have SOME system to what I was doing.
Yes I just couldn't make up my mind about The Girl 8 sale - I had my cart filled/emptied/refilled/emptied/... several times. I have no interest at all in The Girl character, not much interest in tbe clothing or hair in the Pro Bundle (well, I quite liked one hair and one set of clothing) but was tempted to blow $60 to get a whole bunch of freebies. Then I looked again and thought: nah! If my crammed cart had still been available today I might have weakened, but as the title says: "There's always another sale..."
I'm sorry I missed the Rarestone flash sale - a couple of things I might have grabbed, but I was out all day yesterday. Oh well, "There's always......."
I share the feeling! Not interested in the Girl 8 here either, and the stuff that came with her was like "meh". Indeed I have pretty much every G8 character I actually need for my purposes; right now I am focusing on hair, clothing and accessories. Just like you, I filled and emptied the cart several times! LOL
