Abused?
Many neighborhoods have a community standards clause. Maybe the commitee complained to your landlord?
Can you get L'oreal products over there? L'oreal Silver Shampoo
Well, we do have a town government but because this is a small rural community it usually doesn't enforce esthetic values (there are a couple quite shabby buildings in town). Public health values have more weight. I had to complain to the zoning board to get my neighbor to stop pasturing his horses 10 feet from my kitchen window. The horses were pretty but their droppings smelled and attracted horseflies and other bugs. The zoning director is my cousin's husband and he admitted that yes there a rule that livestock cannot be pastured within a certain distance of town streets. The horse pasture is now his farm vehicle parking lot.
Win one, lose one. (*sigh*) But he keeps it mowed around the vehicles.
I believe so. And I am unanimous in that.
Not sure but I called and they said there was a block on it but it got removed. Good thing as my bluetooth headphones just died and I ordered a replacement, but that will arrive Wednesday.
On other note, does anyone speak in Fly? I want to have a conversation with this fly that is flying around me. I do not know how to talk to him so he will understand me. I have an important message to tell him. Well for right now he seems to get the idea.
The message would be "Go Fly outside and away from people." Or "GO AWAY, FLY!"
You could try to play this, it will probably hurt its ears so much that it flies away...
I only speak sign language with flies. And the sign is a swatting motion...usually assisted by a rolled up newspaper or similar thing.

Got my hair done today. No need to wash it tonight, as they washed it for me. I did take a bath though.
what is a bird bath? Is it when one sits in the bathtub and pretends to be a bird?
No, that's just a silly fantasy. A bird bath is a thing for birds to bath in, or drink from. There are stone ones, concrete molded ones, metal ones, plastic ones, and heated ones for the winter.
Dana
Oh that makes more sense than someone pretending to be a bird in the bathtub.
Impossible... Cats are made of flubber.
I always thought "bird baths" were like "bird bathrooms"... All they ever seem to do is poop in the water.
Birds around here prefer dust baths. They roll around in a nice soft patch of dirt and flutter their wings as if they are in water. Horses like dust baths too. Our horses liked nothing better after a good wash and shampoo than to roll around like maniacs in the dirt in the corrals. They grunt and groan with enjoyment- and look pretty damn hilarious with their feet up in the air... floundering around.
Dana
I have an electric one for the winter. Haven't used it in a few years. It started to come apart at the seams and I worried that it might cause a short.
I've decided that I understand why they poop on our cars so much. The cars are shiny in the Sun, and interfere with their search for food, because it blinds them...so they poop on them to dull them down.
Dana
You forgot the ones with the solar lamp at the top and the flower planter at the bottom, so they can take a romantic bath in the moonlight
...just as long as they don't run up my water bill.

That software is buggy. Some computer games interfere with the software driver some how.

Hmmm..., dust bath. Sounds like fun, I'll have to try that. I bet it could be even more fun if one added a little bit of water and a fellow bather to wrestle with.
True story: Actually back around 1996 when I was at my first time at an annual gathering of a hundred or more gay leathermen in the woods of Pennsylvania, a mud wrestling pit had been prepared for weekend fun. Unfortunately we newbies were not told that the soil in that part of Pennsylvania is loaded with tiny flakes of mica. Things did not go smoothly.
This apparently was known to all but the newbies at the event. The assembled audience thought it quite amusing.
For several days I was pulling flakes of mica out of places where it shouldn't be. And despite several showers my skin and hair had little glistens on it that were difficult to explain back at work.
However, I enjoyed the event better in subsequent years watching the new crop of newbies learn about mica.
Heh, you post that and I have just been talking to my son in Dublin, part of his wrok involves looking after the kids at the summer camps. He just told me that on Thursday they are taking the 10-14 yr old group Bog Jumping.
...hot weather heading our way. In California they've been seeing temperatures above 110° and fire season is already well underway there. Van Nuys recorded a high of 117° which broke their old record for the day of 99°
Really not looking forward to a repeat of the summer we had last year here unfortunately,Oregon was placed under a fire alert a couple weeks ago, way too early.
Bog jumping sounds like it could be a nice alternative to what I fear we are in store for on the coast again.
