Non-complaint:  Great weather for a mini-adventure to Erie, PA.  Rock & mineral show venue parking lot was packed!  Cruised around in it and in neighboring parking lots until I finally found a spot.  Looong walk to the venue.  Inside the building was about 5 degrees hotter than outside but I survived because of all the "ooh, shiney" things that I saw took my mind off of the heat.  I found people to talk to about my unknown stone carvings.  Got answers to a few. smiley Some are still mysteries though.

Interesting observations about the different knowlege levels of the vendors.  One was not a very good salesman and essentially shooed me away.  One seemed only there as a warm body to take in money.  One was giving things away free. surprise  One was very knowlegable but everytime I described what I was looking for I got a lecture on the origin of the universe and the subtle differences between minerals found in Ohio vs Morocco.  I couldn't get away from him.  We were discussing his nice crystal of flourite and all I had asked him was "does it flouresce well?"  Time after time I tried to get a straight answer out of him or proof that it did flouresce.  I finally took advantage of a brief interruption by another customer and escaped to another vender's booth. indecision

I came away from the show only having spent $15 total on a nice example of mica and a hefty sample of galena (lead ore).  I never did find my affordable example of a flourite crystal but the vendor who was giving stuff away for free had a UV demonstration booth and gave me a rock with streaks of nicely flourescing green stuff in it.  Don't know what it is but it's pretty.  "Ooh, glowey!" yes

What are lies?  What if one is telling the truth to the best of their knowledge but somehow it gets around to another person who calls them lies?

The shelters here are begging for volunteers to walk and play with the dogs. Maybe there is a shelter near your busline. Or another volunteer would give you a ride over to visit them

don't you believe it.   Ours could fly over fences and roost in (admittedly short) trees.  They aren't in it for the long distance,  but many breeds can manage short hops.

Mistara and KK:  I received messages through my Gmail account.  DAZ shows nothing for me and none of the buttons in Messages do anything.  Took forever to correctly fill out a support ticket.  Please contact me directly @ [email protected]. I don't care who knows my addy.

Non-complaint:  I found my missing flea market.  Yea! yes Poor signage. indecision  It was there last week when I reported it missing but they've moved it inside to permanent space. frown  Meh, I liked it better outside.  It attracted a better class of vendors with more useful stuff.  The stuff inside seems to be a concoction of garage sale and attic disposal stuff. indecision  However, I did find, for $2, a small mirrored display case for something in my collection. yes

Things I learned today.  Some people will gie up too quickly and then blame it on the one they are giving up on.  It is never their fault but the other person's fault.  There is some odd math going on.  Someone who starts around two pm and told to finish around three pm has been working on stuff for two hours.  I thought that would be one hour but no it is two hours.

Basically it is never her fault.  Anyone who says anything else are liars.  Wonder if I lie with saying she did something wonderful that she did not do, would that still be a truth or a lie?

...interesting, I still get PMs (got a couple the other day).

Yeah there have been some odd goings on with the site. for a while when I attached an image, it wouldn't show up until I posted the comment. I still get timed out and have to sign in again (usually on the phone which is a pain as it never remembers my login info even though I have the "Remember Me" box checked).

Email addy saved to my address book.

Miss bad Wolf, you look  somewhat different today.

Met a freind at Starbucks ( 'cause she loves that place ) they  looked  at me like I was from outer space when I just wanted plain coffee, but I actually don't like coffee with sugar and milk and chocolate and whipcream in it...And now I know why they gave me the rolled eye. Their plain coffee tastes horrible!!! I mean it was really nasty!

Non complaint- got Greek coffee last night. It came in a tiny, lavishly decorated cup and tasted like cardemom.

Prayers for Mistara sent on their way, in our families odd way. We write it down and then burn it.

...yeah whatever happened to plain ol' coffee? A 'plaint I posted a page or so ago.

I love going to the Evil Mermaid Empire and ordering a "Large Coffee" and when they reply in their pseudo Itialian gibberish, I repeat, "a large coffee".

Oh slip me a slug from the wonderful mug
And I'll cut a rug just snug in a jug
A sliced up onion and a raw one
    Draw one -
    Waiter, waiter, percolator

About the coffee:  Yeah, that's been my impression of their coffee since forever.  I'm an American coffee drinker.  I drink my coffee with black, just black.  Not deep, blackhole level black, but just black.  No sugar, no cream, no fru-fru flavors, nothing floating on top, no kindergarden artwork on top, no faux Italian name, just plain, black coffee that has a great smell, smooth taste, doesn't dissolve your tooth fillings or try to escape your stomach through your navel, and is drinkable in quantities of more than a two ounce cup.  A good 12 ounce mug of black coffee.  Now that's coffee.  My mother told me when I said I wanted to drink coffee (about 15) that I had to drink it black so that I would know when I got a good cup.

'Nother non-complaint:  OMG!  My landlord mowed the entire lawn today.  Including the weed haven in front of my car and up the bank, and along the property boundary on the far side of the driveway where the neighbor always mowed his half and this landlord has never mowed our half.  He's even weedwacked around the trees, fence and porches.  OMG, OMG  will wonders never cease.surprise  Now I'm worried that he's sprucing up the grounds in an effort to make it look good to try to sell it.  I have a sweet deal here, tolerable rent, functional space, no utilitiy fees, off street parking, and no deposit and no lease.  I've already been through one landlord change and I was able to survive without a rent increase because I've been a good tenant.  I don't complain, my rent is always on time, I don't have pets, I don't smoke, I keep a neat house, I don't make noise.  I've lived here 10 years now.  I've finally unpacked everything from my moving boxes.  I've gotten comfortable here.  I could probably survive a 10% rent increase but I'm going to play the kindly, sophisticated but limited income, old, crippled, ancient person card to try to avoid that.
