hi there, okay, it has nothing to do with Flipmode Products ...

    WHAAAT ?!? ;)
Great pic cosmo, I like it better than the music it refers to ;)

    @Willow >
    Sure, should work.
Most simple approach is to simply turn down ambience on the materials, I`ve done it like that for some quick late-evening scenes.
Of course photoshop (or whatever) gives you more control.
Oh, and doesn`t the road to hell skybox work for night scenes? :/

RtH is awesome, but there is no moon. There is a light, but it looks like the sun trying to defy the harsh atmosphere. Awesome ... but sometimes a moon would be cool, and maybe a more blue-ish setting and lights.

But I'll make due :D It was just a thought :D

First of all *sorry Flip for posting a link to someone else*

Second, Aidana... if you are looking for a nightsky and such, and are able to work with a backdrop, perhaps this would be of use for you? http://www.daz3d.com/photopak-skies (was looking around the store and sumbled upon it)

Agian, sorry Flip I know it's not yours and this is your thread but, I couldn't find the other thread Aidana has going *smiles and offer homemade cake as bribe*

Well, I started working on the skybox for a new one a few days ago ... unfortunately rendering one side of it takes 10+ hours, so I have about a week of night-rendering ahead ;)
Having a slow time here with work, but sooner or later more environments will come ....

have a new idea for an easy environment :) a little hill in the mid of a jungle. maybe two hill sets, one with a peak and one with a flat top so one can make a scene like this (following image) for example:

    That`s from "The Fountain", right?
A while ago I wanted to do such a set, but the tree drove me crazy so I dropped it ;)
    Beautiful image/sky though!

yeah it is from "the fountain"...well, the tree is not necessary but just the beackround and the terrace. the rest I can create by myself :)

the pond should be replaceable with a paved surface.

and a backround placed in the Amazon region maybe with a river in the middle, like the suggestion with the road

I'd like a swamp environment ... But don't know how that would translate.

    Hey there :)

Tbh., both ideas are somewhat tricky.
I think a tropical forest just won`t work without trees in the skybox, which I am not doing yet. It`s something I plan to look into sometimes though, since it would open up new territories to cover.
Swamps, I think we already talked about it, maybe on the other thread. It`s not really leaning towards the easy environments/skybox thing.
Stonemason`s jungle forest set might work as a swamp if you add some water though.

That aside, sorry there haven`t been any new sets lately, had a somewhat bad time.
Right now I am re-building the next easy environments set for the third time, but it seems three is the lucky number indeed, I hope to have previews soon.

a new render with Dixie at the top of the world :)

Not that I am a very religious person (I am not) but I think that every man and woman is searching for the meaning of life and we all should respect each others way. Respect for each other and respect for nature will give us peace.

Thanks for posting the pic cosmo, looks great.
Your insistence on always using Dixie is growing on me, she seems to be a very diverse character, given the different settings and actions she appears in ;)
Very agreeable statement too, a pitty so many people don`t seem to get the concept.

Well, Dixie is a complete self created character (even the skin texture is reworked and fixed by me from the original skin texture), so, that is the reason why I allways use her :), I would use other v4 characters but the thing is, that from studio 4 and up I can only use her. The original figure is the wwgII (A poser figure based on v4 and using geometry) the problem is, if I use the wwg2 and inject another character to it and save this as a scene (because of fitting clothes) the software will change also Dixie if I load her in a new scene (lost morphs and such things) that is a problem with the .duf format. In studio 3 and its versions this problem does not appear but right now I am using studio 4.5 because of some nice features it has. So I CAN only use DIXIE as female character.

Have a new idea: Back to the desert but now we are visiting a oasis located in a small valley (or dip). With a removable (and posable up/down) watersurface and a dry oasis ground texture alternative. The watersurface should work well also with reduced opacity.

The same oasis would also be good for the outback with the appropriate texture.

Also some add on rocksprobs would be good.

    what do you think flip?

Flipmode environments and scenes have become my first pick for any outdoor setting. Even if I don't use the entire scene, I definitely use a skybox. They are so easy to modify with no warping! You have a loyal customer in me, FM :D

My latest flipmode enhanced cover ... uses The Rock (http://www.daz3d.com/easy-environments-the-rock)

Whops, the forum stopped sending me notifications for this thread, glad I found it again ;)

So...sorry for not commenting on your new image sooner cosmo, it`s great. One day I have to buy that damn car, it`s been teasing me forever.

Aidana, thanks for posting that great cover! (that shirt is lovely, the old dynamic clothing?) Checked your whole website. :)

Thanks, FM :D And yes, that's the boyfriend sweater, a freebie available on the Optitex site.

I'm pretty predictable ... I have three main elements I go to when creating a scene. An Flipmode environment or scene (if an outdoors setting), Perfect Victoria 4 (available at Rendo by Xameva), and Daz Dynamics (I want more, more, more).

I love products that are not only easy to use, but make me look like I know what I'm doing ... lol.

Hehe, that cover certainly looks like you knew what you were doing, really nice mood.

I loved the dynamic clothing at the time, but I never got it to work with Genesis (not even sure if it supposed to work).
Had almost forgotten about it, kinda depressing to see what got lost. ;)

See ... fooled you, too. I just know what products to buy ... lol.

I don't use genesis, so I can't speak from experience, but from what I understand, people do use them on genesis and in 4.6.

I had to switch to 4.6 when my Clothing Control product updated and I could no longer download the product I bought meant for DS3, which I still prefer over DS4+, but one has to work ...

Nice picture. I noticed the pants are clipping on the calves. Perhaps you can fix that before your final render.

Clipping? Do you mean the little cuts in the back, at the calf? Those are part of the style.

Yes, that is what I meant. Sorry, I didn't recognize that as a style option. I guess all is well. It was a very nice render.
